  • In this episode I crevice for gold at Mitchell's creek in NSW, Australia with the aim of seeing how much you could get if you moved the legal amount of material. Not an exact science but I think it did teach me a thing or two.

oooh those crevices look good, you shoudl make a crevice attachment for your pump itll help suck up anything in the finer crevices. Great video Jason

Cheers. I intended to make it but didn’t get time before I left. In saying that, now I can make one based on your video and do another test run on the crevices as comparison a video.

A great way to scoop out crevices is to cut a plastic bottle in half like a Powerade and you can jam it right in to scoop out material! Love the videos! Keen em coming haha

It is. I think it was worth more than the gold! But it was still finding larger flakes than usual.

Just food for thought I used to work in construction industry operated excavators 1cubic metre of river type gravel weighs around 1.8 tonnes that a lot to move in 48 hours hopes this helps 😀

Lol. That doesn’t surprise me at all. You feel the weight in the bucket with water removed. I can’t imagine it to be possible for an individual to do it under the rules in NSW. Cheers for the info.

Wish I went that way…I went to the lower Turon and got two specks for my efforts. I’ll head up river next time. Hill End was a different story.
