I love that Pandora's Actor is heavily implied to be the only NPC that actually knows how Ainz is faking his competence and planning, since he would know his creator better than anyone, and yet also totally understands the importance of facade for the sake of unity and practicality.

Ainz Ooal Gown was formulated by at least 10 people, coming up with words that sounded like "Nine's own goal", thus, getting that name in the end lol. This might never be animated, but could also possibly get an OVA, but there is a light novel of Ainz and his guildmates when they first invaded the the Tomb of Nazarick after Touch Me disbanding "Nine's own goal" to "Ainz Ooal Gown" because of the increased in membership.
ainz got his name from the german number eins (one). Nine is a german number too spelled neun (still nine), but most of you think that's nein (no) would be a number
I just need to clarify this, Nine's Own Goal is not a guild but was actually a clan(guilds and clans are different in Yggdrasil with the main difference being the amount of members possible) founded by 9 heteromorphic players which includes Momonga, Touch Me and presumably another of their friend(more on this guy later). The clan was named that way to symbolize the nine heteromorph players who foolishly pursued their own goals, despite being at that time, heteromorph players are look down upon and hunted by other humanoid players since the game doesn't place penalties and in fact rewards PK over heteromorphs. Now for the guy that was one of the presumed founding members of Nine's Own Goal, he actually left the game before the creation of the guild and became the reason why Touch Me and Ulbert fights a lot and why Ulbert really hated Touch Me. One of the things that backs his existance is the mention of him in the novel(side story). A fun fact is that out of the 100 rings of Ainz Ooal Gown only 58 remains to be unowned which if you know basic math and the number of the original members of the guild, should tip you off that something is wrong, yes because there is supposed to be only 41members including Momonga but only 58 are unused, so where is the last one? people theorized that the last one is kept for that person who left the game when he returns to the game.
Wait, Pandora's Actor might be the most informed on Ainz, with an intelligence matching the main strategic force, yet has the outward persona of being an idiot that he underestimated? Yet he appears to be comic relief while one of the biggest wildcards.
It's not knowledge about him being clueless that he is aware of, it's the knowledge of how stressed Ainz is in keeping up appearances and how he still does his job as an overlord splendidly..so in a way, he does understands that Ainz sometimes makes mistakes. It's really kinda like having a dad. You know your dad makes mistakes sometimes and you understand your dad is sometimes tired of acting like a made man for the family. kidan like that haha

Even though this comment was written 5 years ago (to date), I whole-heartedly agree with the sentiment. I only _just_ got into _Overlord_ a little over a day or two ago and so have been devouring any content I've been able to find about the anime. By far, *Anibox's* videos are the best to watch. They are the most informative as well as the EASIEST for a newbie to digest. I've tried listening to other channels and couldn't even get through most of their vids.
Also Pandora from the Greek legends, was not created just from Zeus. Each of the Gods of Olympus gifted Pandora with something. Such as a body, intelligent, fancy clothes, the ability to love...etc. The name "Pandora" itself means All Gifted. As in receiving a gift from all the gods. And since Pandora's Actor can literally transform into all the Supreme Beings, he technically has been gifted from all the Supreme Beings.
I'll tell you something else since pandora is gifted so is Ainz if you think about it all the supreme beings before they left the game gifted Ainz with their game treasures or gear.
Ainz and Pandora are exactly the same, just reversed. For example; Ainz has the outward appearance of a super genius badass, but internally is a bumbling social outcast, where as Pandora is internally a hyper genius badass whereas externally is an eccentric and is socially inept.
It'd be fun if there's an OVA where mostly it involves PA and ainz talking together. Their short conversation in ple ple pleiades itself is very fun to watch
Considering how fucking addicted the floor guardian's are to seeing and hearing orders from Ainz, I can only image how lonely and deprived Pandora's Actor (PA) must feel, to have practically been ignored for so long. I feel bad for PA, damn.
PA was programmed to enjoy his job perhaps a bit too much, to the point that prolonged isolation doesn't bother him at all (as long as it involved handling items in the Treasury). In fact he gets really anxious when he's unable to take care of Nazarick's items for extended amounts of time.

Both Albedo and Demiurge, and possibly other npcs as well, respect Pandora's actor for his intellect, he could literally replaces their job if Ainz wishes. According to what we know, since Pandora's Actor never had a chance to go out of the Treasury, people doesn't even know that he existed lol. Which is quite sad.

I like how they used Pandora's Actor in the anime in disguise in varying episodes and never blatantly told the audience that it was him in disguise! They just provided sone clues in mannerism and looks but it was left for you to find out if it was indeed Pandora's Actor. ( He's even in the last episode!)

Nine's Own Goal was a so called "Clan" not a true guild. More like a raid group. They became a guild when they shifted to Ainz Ooal Gown with Momonga as the master.

Yenpress has halted the fan translation of Overlord volumes. At the same time, Yenpress is only at volume 9 of the currently existing 13 volumes, and each volume takes roughly 4 to 5 months to publish. Devoted fan translators work much more quickly than Japanese businesses embroiled in bureaucratic businesses. Still, that's the only way your money reaches Murayama's paycheck.

It's an interesting myth actually. It wasn't necessarily meant to be taken like that, the box was meant to be opened by anyone and in the case of man's failure to fall for it, woman was given great curiosity. On their own women were designed to be creative and beautiful in order to tempt man in order to get them box there(read the Greek version, Ovid was a bit iffy lol). There's always the Light Novels. Four books of material which haven't been made into an anime season (yet), and nine books of material which the anime skipped and might have made some plotholes in the process. Then there are the Drama CDs, which show different kinds of stories. All of them are canon, which is why I like the newest Drama CD which depicts Ainz playing a TRPG with some of the Floor Guardians, him being the DM. There's the Manga, which hasn't caught up to the Anime to my knowledge yet. The Web Novel which has all events which have happened in the anime, but with multiple characters missing and events done differently (Albedo and Victim not existing for example).

Well you see.. There are scripts that actors follow when the entire cast decides which decision is the best one for a specific character in question to make or do. BUT, scripts are mostly filled with the kind of sentence or emotion thar the character is supposed to feel. That's why the actor has to know how to improvise on a millisecond flawlessly, and guess who can improvise in milliseconds? Ains! And who did Ains create? That's right, THE PANDORA ACTOR! Case closed.
The similarities between Pandora's Actor and Ainz are quite interesting. Especially when you consider that Ainz puts so much effort into his own acting.
Pandora's actor is my favorite character in overlord. He's just so fun and nice and cool and i love him. His uniform and over the top nature is fun and very entertaining.

It wasn't an OVA. It was a spin-off series called Ple Ple Pleiades which isn't canon to the story shown in the Anime, Light Novel, Manga, or even the Web Novel. Mainly due to contradicting information which is purely for comedic effect, as the series revolves around comedy rather than the actual story and progressing it.

I'm pretty sure, that LN stated, that PA outfit is designed as the neo-nazi uniform, who were prominent in the real life war of Overlord about 20-30 years ago. Not the original Nazis.
Not to mention that even if it were based on WW2, the setting is about 100 years into the future, plenty of time for the repulsion to dull. But remember, his real world life is set in a totalitarian hellscape where humans are little more than Wage-Slaves (poor Hero-Hero-san). So i'd be more impressed if he *didn't* have a screw or two loose. (TouchMe is just a beacon of morality, despite being in a guild of super evil villain types)

The 8th floor NPCs are too strong. They didnt mention their names in the LN tho, they can go toe-to-toe with Floor Guardians. I hope AniNews can give us some insight to the NPCs in 8th floor

The reason why foreign characters are often blond-blue eyed is because very often the chara design is so simplicistic that otherwise you couldn't tell them apart from asian characters.
I predict Pandora’s Actor will eventually fight Albedo because of their similar love but different understanding of Ainz. Or when Albedo eventually finds a player that is part of AOG or was a friend to them Pandora’s Actor stands up for them while Albedo and the rest of her death squad fight them. Albedo’s betrayal of the guild in pursuit of what she thinks is Ainz’s will has been foreshadowed since the beginning so I can’t see why this couldn’t happen.
Pandora's Actor wouldn't be at a disadvantage though. His MP and HP wouldn't change, and out of the 45 forms he can transform into, 41 are taken by the Supreme Beings. If he were to transform into one of them, he would still lack any item effects such as resistances or boosts unless he had the real item. On top of all of this, he can only copy up to 80% of the power of the original. Albedo may be possible for Pandora's Actor to beat, but I am highly doubtful him being able to beat Shalltear Bloodfallen who Ainz had difficulties against even with Prep time, knowledge of her skills and abilities, knowledge of her items, previous PVP experience, assistance from a third party, and with Cash Shop Items.
Hierapolis Phrygia I am not saying that Pandora's Actor wouldn't be able to beat Albedo, Rubedo and the 80+ vassals. I am saying the opposite. In my comment, I am saying how I find it unlikely that Pandora's Actor would be able to win against Albedo, and how in my opinion it would be impossible for him to defeat Shalltear Bloodfallen in a PvP fight as mentioned by @Chaika? Yes, Chaika. Chaika.. The only way PA might win would be for the rest 40 members of Ainz Ooal Gown to be found at the same place and then they would fight alongside with PA. As Ainz Ooal Gown did have some players who relied on crafting job classes instead of combat, let's say that if the number is greater than 35, PA would win against the Death Squad. If Ulbert is found, he can one shot the level 80+ NPC's. Rubedo would take a hit, while Albedo would force it on her armor with her skill.

Transforming himself into Ulbert, a PC with the highest burst damage in the entire Guild, combined with the cash items he has access to, wouod be more than ample to beat Shalltear. He could only use three Super Tier spells, after which he could finish off Shalltear's 2nd life by transforming into Touch Me, who possessed a special Warrior Class. Just my two cents, though.

Ainz Ooal Gown was formulated by at least 10 people, coming up with words that sounded like "Nine's own goal", thus, getting that name in the end lol. This might never be animated, but could also possibly get an OVA, but there is a light novel of Ainz and his guildmates when they first invaded the the Tomb of Nazarick after Touch Me disbanding "Nine's own goal" to "Ainz Ooal Gown" because of the increased in membership.
ainz got his name from the german number eins (one). Nine is a german number too spelled neun (still nine), but most of you think that's nein (no) would be a number
The "nine" referred to the 9 members. So when it grew, the name had to change because it wouldn't refer to the number of guild members.

I just need to clarify this, Nine's Own Goal is not a guild but was actually a clan(guilds and clans are different in Yggdrasil with the main difference being the amount of members possible) founded by 9 heteromorphic players which includes Momonga, Touch Me and presumably another of their friend(more on this guy later).
The clan was named that way to symbolize the nine heteromorph players who foolishly pursued their own goals, despite being at that time, heteromorph players are look down upon and hunted by other humanoid players since the game doesn't place penalties and in fact rewards PK over heteromorphs.
Now for the guy that was one of the presumed founding members of Nine's Own Goal, he actually left the game before the creation of the guild and became the reason why Touch Me and Ulbert fights a lot and why Ulbert really hated Touch Me. One of the things that backs his existance is the mention of him in the novel(side story). A fun fact is that out of the 100 rings of Ainz Ooal Gown only 58 remains to be unowned which if you know basic math and the number of the original members of the guild, should tip you off that something is wrong, yes because there is supposed to be only 41members including Momonga but only 58 are unused, so where is the last one? people theorized that the last one is kept for that person who left the game when he returns to the game.

Wait, Pandora's Actor might be the most informed on Ainz, with an intelligence matching the main strategic force, yet has the outward persona of being an idiot that he underestimated? Yet he appears to be comic relief while one of the biggest wildcards.
It's not knowledge about him being clueless that he is aware of, it's the knowledge of how stressed Ainz is in keeping up appearances and how he still does his job as an overlord splendidly..so in a way, he does understands that Ainz sometimes makes mistakes. It's really kinda like having a dad. You know your dad makes mistakes sometimes and you understand your dad is sometimes tired of acting like a made man for the family.

Even though this comment was written 5 years ago (to date), I whole-heartedly agree with the sentiment. I only _just_ got into _Overlord_ a little over a day or two ago and so have been devouring any content I've been able to find about the anime. By far, *Anibox's* videos are the best to watch. They are the most informative as well as the EASIEST for a newbie to digest. I've tried listening to other channels and couldn't even get through most of their vids.
Also Pandora from the Greek legends, was not created just from Zeus. Each of the Gods of Olympus gifted Pandora with something. Such as a body, intelligent, fancy clothes, the ability to love...etc.

Considering how fucking addicted the floor guardian's are to seeing and hearing orders from Ainz, I can only image how lonely and deprived Pandora's Actor (PA) must feel, to have practically been ignored for so long.
I feel bad for PA, damn.
PA was programmed to enjoy his job perhaps a bit too much, to the point that prolonged isolation doesn't bother him at all (as long as it involved handling items in the Treasury). In fact he gets really anxious when he's unable to take care of Nazarick's items for extended amounts of time.
I believe he even asked Ainz that he be tasked to take care of the treasures again as a reward when he was assigned outside of nazarick

There's always the Light Novels. Four books of material which haven't been made into an anime season (yet), and nine books of material which the anime skipped and might have made some plotholes in the process.
Then there are the Drama CDs, which show different kinds of stories. All of them are canon, which is why I like the newest Drama CD which depicts Ainz playing a TRPG with some of the Floor Guardians, him being the DM.
There's the Manga, which hasn't caught up to the Anime to my knowledge yet.
The Web Novel which has all events which have happened in the anime, but with multiple characters missing and events done differently (Albedo and Victim not existing for example).
I finished the novels, NOW I have nothing to live for. I’ll commit suicide and come back in January when the next volume drops.

It wasn't an OVA. It was a spin-off series called Ple Ple Pleiades which isn't canon to the story shown in the Anime, Light Novel, Manga, or even the Web Novel. Mainly due to contradicting information which is purely for comedic effect, as the series revolves around comedy rather than the actual story and progressing it.

I'm pretty sure, that LN stated, that PA outfit is designed as the neo-nazi uniform, who were prominent in the real life war of Overlord about 20-30 years ago. Not the original Nazis.
Not to mention that even if it were based on WW2, the setting is about 100 years into the future, plenty of time for the repulsion to dull. But remember, his real world life is set in a totalitarian hellscape where humans are little more than Wage-Slaves (poor Hero-Hero-san). There's also the fact that a cadre of elite neo-Nazi guards was one of the key factions in WW3 in Satoru's world.
Touch Me was a taunt name, like a cocky polite way of a xXx_360n0-5c0p3tr1xxsh0t-420_xXx name, with his name meaning "Touch Me if you can"

The 8th floor NPCs are too strong. They didnt mention their names in the LN tho, they can go toe-to-toe with Floor Guardians. I hope AniNews can give us some insight to the NPCs in 8th floor

The reason why foreign characters are often blond-blue eyed is because very often the chara design is so simplicistic that otherwise you couldn't tell them apart from asian characters.

I predict Pandora’s Actor will eventually fight Albedo because of their similar love but different understanding of Ainz. Or when Albedo eventually finds a player that is part of AOG or was a friend to them Pandora’s Actor stands up for them while Albedo and the rest of her death squad fight them. Albedo’s betrayal of the guild in pursuit of what she thinks is Ainz’s will has been foreshadowed since the beginning so I can’t see why this couldn’t happen.
Pandora Actor would easily rekt albedo 1v1 tho. He is very op and he could rekt any floor guardian 1v1.
Pandora's Actor wouldn't be at a disadvantage though. His MP and HP wouldn't change, and out of the 45 forms he can transform into, 41 are taken by the Supreme Beings. If he were to transform into one of them, he would still lack any item effects such as resistances or boosts unless he had the real item. On top of all of this, he can only copy up to 80% of the power of the original. Albedo may be possible for Pandora's Actor to beat, but I am highly doubtful him being able to beat Shalltear Bloodfallen who Ainz had difficulties against even with Prep time, knowledge of her skills and abilities, knowledge of her items, previous PVP experience, assistance from a third party, and with Cash Shop Items.
Vezoth Albedo has a whole bunch of level 80+ NPCs on her side though which would make it extremely difficult for Pandora’s Actor.
Hierapolis Phrygia I am not saying that Pandora's Actor wouldn't be able to beat Albedo, Rubedo and the 80+ vassals. I am saying the opposite. In my comment, I am saying how I find it unlikely that Pandora's Actor would be able to win against Albedo, and how in my opinion it would be impossible for him to defeat Shalltear Bloodfallen in a PvP fight as mentioned by @Chaika? Yes, Chaika. Chaika.. The only way PA might win would be for the rest 40 members of Ainz Ooal Gown to be found at the same place and then they would fight alongside with PA. As Ainz Ooal Gown did have some players who relied on crafting job classes instead of combat, let's say that if the number is greater than 35, PA would win against the Death Squad. If Ulbert is found, he can one shot the level 80+ NPC's. Rubedo would take a hit, while Albedo would force it on her armor with her skill.

Transforming himself into Ulbert, a PC with the highest burst damage in the entire Guild, combined with the cash items he has access to, wouod be more than ample to beat Shalltear. He could only use three Super Tier spells, after which he could finish off Shalltear's 2nd life by transforming into Touch Me, who possessed a special Warrior Class. Just my two cents, though.
