That's really interesting Sam. It really was worthy to work for it. I hope we talk about it more on discord, btw did you by any chance that you've read the book I sent you? All that Ainz does to Albedo is that he hurts with grief, lonelyness and more imprtantly he torments this way. That's the reason I just like you believe that she plans look for and kill the other 'supreme beings'.
the moment Albedo asked Ainz for Rubedo, its pretty much clear what the squad is actually for. If Albedo just wanted to find the Supreme Beings, she should have asked for Aura.
About her hatered towards all other supreme ones - it has not been stated in Light Novel, yes. It has been kinda-stated in the epilogue of first Blue-Ray special "Emisary of the King" after Momonga gives her one of the rooms in floor 10(i think).
Merciless SSJ2 | Okay. Albedo is Isis, and Ainz is Osiris, or what ever. Now all they need is an artificial penis… And to think all of these started with Isis having her own special hit squad…
He can always race change but we have no idea what kind of every specific restrictions and requirements needed to be an Overlord of death, besides the ones already shown in the novels and anime.
@@AtelierGod if that was the answer, we surely assume albedo is already twisted enough to have a boneshaped Dildo hidden somewhere around her room, as no one is allowed to enter it.
The most interesting theory would be: What happens if Demiurge realizes his Lord is not perfect. Will his deluded Expectations turn him rouge, or will he stay loyal to Momonga? This Question goes for practically everyone, except Albedo and Pandora, which ask Questions more frequently than Demiurge. Man I wish Pandoras Actors get a greater role in the future. He isn't just a funny Character, he is also the most normal of them all.
He will still stay loyal but His setting makes it that any kind of confession Ainz says will be either downplayed or just accepted as truth. If Ainz even says hes incompetent then Demiurge and the Whole tomb will just become more happy that they will FINALLY have use for their master and double their efforts to please Ainz.

Everyone get their laughs in until evil little Renner has Lakyus put the hit on everybody's head that jokes on Climb. Why the fuck would they name him Climb. Of all the weird fucking names in OL, Climb has got to be the worst. Even of all the lizardmen, shit even worse than Brain Unglause.
@@penyaihara4303 I really don't understand the dislike for Climb. I think it's a combination of certain kinds of people wanting to gang up on "something" to dislike, and the people who have no problem with Climb's character bending to peer pressure (it's a necessary and normal trope in storytelling, the "wide-eyed, honest, golden hero).
You should have also mentioned the epilogue of the "Emissary of the King" side story. She pretty much says in it that she despises the rest of the Ainz Ooal Goan members, except Momonga. Here it is: The room she had been given was luxurious. No, as a room which was worthy of the Supreme Beings, that much was only to be expected. Behind the desk in the center of the room was the sparkling flag of Ainz Ooal Gown, Not long after she had watched her master leave with a cheerful smile on her face, a change came over her, and her face was as cold as winter. “-Hmph.” Albedo raised the flag with one hand, and opened the door within. Inside was the bedroom of an absolute ruler of Nazarick. After entering the room and ensuring it was properly locked, she cast the flag aside. The brilliant flag fell to the ground. “The Ainz Ooal Gown which abandoned us… It makes me mad.” Although she had been filled with joy when her beloved had taken that name for his own, that had turned to worry when she realized that it also referred to the people who upset her. With a fiendish expression on her face, Albedo approached the flag on the floor and raised her foot to step on it. “-Shit! How dare these pieces of shit insult my love’s name!” Albedo cursed freely as she trampled the flag. With her breathing in chaos, she seemed to notice something and raised her face, whose expression softened as she saw it. Albedo opened her inventory and drew forth a large new flag. She rubbed it against her face with a blissful expression, and then when it was not enough, she rubbed her entire body against it. The flag she was holding was one of the 41 displayed before the throne, the one representing his own name that Momonga had struck down. Albedo had swiftly retrieved it after the fact. “Ahhh, Ainz-sama. No, Momonga-sama. Only you are my true master. I shall make you the sole ruler of Nazarick. There’s no need for those other people. Only you, and only you will rule forever-” As though her master were truly there, Albedo chanted those words in a moist, breathy tone. “Yes, absolutely. If anyone tries to stop you, I will destroy them even if they’re a Guardian. I am your true follower, your loyal slave. So please, bestow your compassion upon my body…” She slowly slid her hand downward, to the lower reaches of her belly.

@@CrystallizedBlackSkull he's the most powerful being there is so there is no way he thought he could die . It was stated that he was even more powerful than the fairy king in the light novel said to be a god like being and the reason why he was struggling to fight shalltear was because he did not want to kill her the creation of his good friend peroroncino !
@@FaZe_ggt Ainz thought there was a high chance that he would be killed by Shalltear. In addition, if were an enemy level 100 player in the New World, Ainz would only have roughly about a 50/50 percent (ignoring other factors) chance of coming out alive assumed based solely on the fact that in Yggdrasil, Ainz was an average level 100 player as Ainz is a roleplaying build as opposed to a pure pvp or pve build. That's how Ainz sees it. Ainz will never encounter another level 100 player in OverLord as Maruyama has said so on Twitter but Ainz doesn't know that.
I think there is also an additional effect here. Momonga MODIFIED Albedo's lore. So, it can be said that with this act, he actually became second creator of Albedo, and since he only modified a single line, the effects were minimal but still there. I think this being creator effect is masked under LOVE that he wrote. Hence, it can be said that Albedo is the only NPC created by 2 players, causing a duality in her.
Like she inherited Ainz’s buried resentment for the former members of the guild but because she lacks the actual context as to why, it evolved into outright hatred.
I kinda feel compelled to shove out my own theory. I have one I've given some thought to that: Ainz actually is the great mastermind behind everything happening. The idea is it has been established that skills, levels, and classes all affect what a person is like, so I think Ainz's actions are being driven by a constant fight between the conscious and unconscious mind. Consciously, he is a human soul in an undead body, floundering about and trying to keep afloat. Unconsciously, his build was intentionally made to have the most supreme undead caster/ruler style classes, and I think the lore of his character classes are impacting his actions. This explains a lot of the random chance and mistakes that turn out fine. It also makes sense to me because, as a player, one is usually not too concerned about the exact lore of their character when it comes to practical application, so despite building for roleplay he hasn't thought too much about what the game lore says about Elder Lich or Overlord classes. The latter one likely being more key. I just feel his randomly blurting out things and them being exactly what it takes to make things go his way may be more a symptom of this inner conflict letting him know "Do it this way." than just chance and improvisation. His behavior also seems more or less the same and impact events towards his goals just as much whether he has a script or is making it up. Of course, those things are all the comedy of the show about him in over his head, but I think this might be an in-universe explanation: that he is unknowingly being subject to the lore of his build, and is in inner conflict out of his ignorance and clinging onto the idea that he is just an office worker. Thus, I think he is masterminding everything, and indeed, has been doing it as far back as the beginning. Like revealing only his true identity to Clementine who may have been resurrected and now holds a grudge, building a fake Nazarick, the various concerned entities that have enough power to at least put up a fight that we've seen snippets of, more recently in the novels he misinformed someone about his spell at the battle against the Kingdom taking 10 years to recover, and a master smith Dwarf who stole an ingot of no importance to Ainz that the Dwarf believed was a legendary metal. A lot of those feel like "final conflict" build up to me, and I think he is unknowingly organizing his enemies as much as his allies, for the reasons I have spelled out. They'll raid the wrong dungeon, within 10 years from novel 9, with severe under-estimation of his power, and severe over-estimation of theirs, in a combined effort of everyone not aligned to him that has the power to match at least the Pleiades maids. Alright, I'm done. I just enjoy lore, and theorizing can be fun. I am also pretty convinced about this one at least, though it may never be canonically proven in the story; things may just work in his favor to the very end and he doesn't realize why. Guess if you get down to it, of course the story will turn out okay for our protagonist, and even if it isn't true things will still keep working out for him. While I don't believe it is true, I also feel another fun theory is: the NPCs know EXACTLY about Ainz's true personality, but are trying to make his roleplay into a reality in an attempt to please him since they exist for the pleasure of the players of their guild. When things were truly dire, Ainz had left to fight Shalltear, the discussion between Demiurge and Albedo felt like they acknowledged his true self in a way they hadn't done before or since. At least, in the novel version of their discussion.
what about the part with a flashback from shalltear talking about a voice actor she had heard when it was still a game so they must know some of Ainz personallity not sure if they know all or not
@@Thormair While on the surface, that seems promising, but that actually re-enforces them not knowing. That scene demonstrates them not understanding what they saw, and they also thought of themselves as aware of what was going on despite being just AI puppets at the time. Shalltear talks about that time she "tended" to the guild members, Sebas stated an accurate description of the job, and Shalltear corrected him with a romanticized "bringing characters to life" version, which he quickly accepted. Point is, that whole scene demonstrated they were still seeing things through the lens of seeing the members of the guild like deities. The only time they demonstrated being close to the truth was their discussions during the Shalltear fight where Albedo reveals she has been accurately reading his feelings and is aware of his desire to run from their worship of him, while Demiurge suddenly no longer thinks of Ainz as an absolute power when Ainz is in battle himself.
Yeah man, after reading 13 volumes I agree with you, everything he did without thinking, everything he considered a mistake actually helped him on the long run. Too many examples to doubt It being just luck or coincidence. He decided to go to another city to just escape Nazarick heavy climate, and now Momon is a lengendary figure that gives hope to humans on Sorcerer Kingdom gluing everybody together alongside Ainz. He makes the emperor his puppy in three days by luck, really? He gives a potion to a random girl, regrets It, and now Nphirea and his grandma are his potion slaves. He saves the holy captain bitch and now her will is broken and the Holy Kingdom ideals are falling. He lets the evangelical girl die, ressurects her, and now she's basically Moses and Jesus combined, creating a religion. The shalltear incident is a perfect example, he makes a mistake, she gets rogue and now all Nazarick knows for sure that it's proven the existence of players and yggdrasil items on new world. Ainz will always have that fear and will always consider that in his future actions. The only stupid accidental Genius decision I can't interpret yet was changing Albedo settings on which I can't see how that won't destroy Nazarick foundations on the future, considering herohero or any other supreme being shows up, and she might kill them, because loyalty isn't love. What mistake do you think will not help him in the future?
Heh. I think I stated pretty well the big mistakes I think will work out in the end; I think all his cautious decisions and all the enemies out to get him that are allowed to flee and organize are going to amass their power, and attack a fake Nazarick where there will be a trap. I feel pretty convinced that this will be the final arc of the series; his greatest enemies from throughout the story band together and find out they ran head first into certain doom and never stood a chance, and that we have his "10 year" timeline from the war he participated in for when it'll happen. I also noticed another thing; when he isn't paying attention, he actually is making plans that are solid and seeing ahead. Like when he had Cocytus attack the Lizardmen. The story skips over his planning and thoughts to focus strictly on Cocytus' perspective, but when you pay attention to the details; his failure and learning from the experience was the intention, and without accident he enacted a plan that worked exactly how he wanted it to. Cocytus attacked, failed, and changed as a result of the experience. Basically, when he stops worrying and is actually working towards a goal, it goes just as well as the stuff he doesn't intentionally do. I can give an explanation for the one you couldn't interpret. He changed Albedo's settings on a whim BEFORE the game turned real. He was still just someone bemoaning the end of his favorite game, messing around with things one last time without consideration for other players when he did that, and thus wasn't subject to the lore of his character yet. @@Mauricio-oo3dk
@@purpletrauma Yeah he did it before the game turned real but think about it, there were other players in the past, and we know for now that they killed each other like the 8 greed kings, or just died?? like the 6 gods. Ainz is undead, therefore immortal. What if 100 years in the future, after Nazarick conquers the whole world, another guild/player shows up. Catastrophe is inevitable right?. Now what if another guild member like Tabula, Touch me or Peroroncino shows up. It was said that their characters were deleted but in the end of Yggdrasil there were still 4 players, with Momonga being the only active. Herohero logged out before Momonga, what if he comes to the new world and disagrees with or envy Momonga? Albedo will try to kill him while the other NPC will doubt their most basic rule: loyalty to the supreme beings (Which one?) A civil war will start and the entire world will be destroyed. I don't fear the NPC losing their hope, admiration and loyalty to Momonga no matter his mistakes, unless another known player enters.
I remember how in one of the novels he saw her off, during which she asked for a goodbye kiss. It surprised me he actually did it. And Albedo was also very surprised, going as far as to sob at the simply gesture of him kissing her cheek.

Overlord is amazing. I have never cared enough about another anime to watch videos like this! The explanation on this theory makes sense. I need more Overlord, and I want it all!
Albedo = Fury (Formed the team. Loyal to their ideals(protect Momonga) against anything and everything. No matter what) Pandora's Actor = Captain America (Loyal to their ideals(Momonga) and will fight until the end) Who else? I throw out Demiurge as Tony. Egocentric and intelligent beyond all measure. Constantly working on making their projects to be perfect, learning more each step of the way. Eventually fights an opposing forces that contradicts their ideals(Protecting Mononga by hurting him). Not a perfect 1:1, Tony fights Steve not Fury. You get the idea
I see it as, Albedo inherited Ainz's feelings of abandonment when he changed her settings the same way the other characters inherited the aspects of their creators.
Yeah, I feel this is how the outright hate she seems to have for the other supreme beings came to be, he was literally pissed off about them leaving him there, alone as he made the change to her settings.
Since the beginning of the first season, when I first came in contact with Overlord I always felt bad for her and even before seeing this theory I already thought of the implications of her expectations on Ainz should he fail or hurt her some way, or even if she felt that she hurt him or didn't satisfied him
And this is his fault too, lmao. It's literally not her fault at all she's like this. Ainz was the one that messed with her settings which then carried over.
What I love about Overlord is that all the characters are so loyal to Ainz that even when they betray him, it's not out of malice or self gain. It's because they respect him to the point where they are willing to put themselves on the line to do what they feel is best for him. No overthrowing plans, no assassination or subversion. Nothing. Pure, unwavering loyalty. It is just such a refreshing change from the "Ally Betrayal" trope so common in anime. When you look at Demiurge, he looks like the one floor guardian who would be most likely to attempt to betray Ainz. But he never does. If anything, he's the most devoted and loyal of them all. It's just such a great and unique dynamic and I hope Albedo's secret squad becomes a thing in Season 4, as she's been one of the few characters that I have little care for due to her lack of major development. But this would change that drastically. Cocytus was made to think for himself, and to be willing to speak up and voice his own opinions. Sebas went out of his way to defend someone in need as it's what his creator would have wanted, but was willing to throw that away to prove his loyalty to Ainz. Something that seems to contradict his personal philosophy. Shalltear was as devoted as could be to Ainz, but after the incident where she was forced to turn against him she resents herself because she feels it was her own fault for allowing it to happen. Even the maids have gotten development from not caring at all about humans, to in some small way respecting them. Whereas Albedo hasn't really changed much since the very beginning. There were small slips here-and-there where she shows signs of distaste for the other Supreme Ones. But not much beyond that. Here's hoping for Season 4 to give her more development!
Albedo will go against Ainz' orders. But will not betray him. I like to refer to the Shalltear incident. Demiurgos was willing to go against Ainz' orders forcing him to stay in Nazarick and was appalled Albedo didn't do so to the point she should step down as overseer if something happened to Ainz. Albedo is doing the same in this situation. She hates the other S.B's but above all hate them for the damage they inflict to Ainz. So she will act against his wishes to protect Ainz and simultaneously vent her hatred. Is this disobedience? Yes Is this morally incorrect? Yes Is this disloyalty/betrayal? No. In fact, she might be the most loyal NPC in Nazarick. As loyal servants give their master what they want, whilst the most loyal servant gives their master what they need.
Nigredo = Scary, but with good heart. Albedo = Beauty, but with devious heart. Rubedo = Innocent, but with cruel heart. Citrinitas = The incoming changes between the sisters.
Tabule love the opposition of Personality to First impression when creating his NPCs......so unlike many who state 'Bitch and slut are interchangable in Japanese' that's not quite true. See Albedo was supposed to present as this perfect goddess of a woman from head to toe, someone ANY man would find themselves falling head over heels in love for. The Bitch aspect was, much like Akira Toriyama with Goku, supposed to be the poison laced within. The Bitter pill as it were. Albedo's personality was meant to be cruel, uncaring, distant, and downright dismissive (I.E. Being a total BITCH) as was stated in the novel and Anime.
The reason why she picked Pandora’s actor is because he is so loyal to ainz to the point that he would kill for him with out telling him and that includes the supreme beings
But he would have to hear that from Ainz, and Albedo has a rare chance of outsmarting him. He most definitely wouldn't go against a single word of his will.
Actually, PA is THE NPC who SHOULD NOT be ok with Albedo's plan. Because PA is the #1 NPC who knows how much the guild mates matter to Ainz. So actually, that's a very good argument for why Albedo is NOT planning to actually exterminate the guild mates OR heavily foreshadowing how it'd fail -- because PA would not be lead by the nose and kill them on Albedo's orders.

I love all this stuff surrounding Albedo's suspicious actions. Ainz's little joke only condemned Albedo to an eternal suffering, even more so considering her toxic, obsessive and sickening love that will never be reciprocated more because of Ainz's guilt than his physiological imposibility.
Actually she might consider her Obsession goes out of whack and she starts thinking all the other guild members are in love with him and I are trying to steal them away she might think he's been mind controlled and that she needs to kill him so that he can respawn like what happened with shelter
AwwwhYyyyeah eh, Shalltear was programmed to have a necrophilia fetish; I’d say she lusts for him, as Ainz is the ultimate form of undead. Love isn’t the same thing.
ainz would put her down the moment he finds out she wants to kill his friends, they are most important in the world to him. Wouldn't be surprising if they fought each other to the death
B. Thomas | Ainz is basically King Solomon, as a skeleton, like in Sonic and the Secret Rings. A reference of it can be seen when Ainz met Subaru, and noticed his cursed flame, ala Solomon and Sonic the Hedgehog. Subaru the Hedgehog? Emii → Emiria?
If Ainz ever finds out the true intent of her squad, as by this theory. I personally think he's going to be even more pissed off than he was with Foresight. Especially if they ever do find and kill another supreme being. This also reminds me i really need to get more work done on that Overlord fan fic.
No, he would probably break down in guilt instead. Ainz never considers his NPCs to do something disloyal or mean because they are bad people. He always see it as a ramification of their NPC settings. In other words if Albedo has killed a Supreme Being, he would believe that this was all a result of him making her love him and wallow in guilt and despair, especially since he not only desecrated their creation, but actually went ahead and caused the death of his dear friends.
Jon Mcgee | Albedo will manipulate Ainz' feelings. However, she know he will leave Nazarick eventually, the question is, will she be alongside him? Isekai Quartet answered that with… Yes.
Well thats a whole bunch about Albedo I didnt know about. There is so much more to her even though she is portrayed as a succubus that wants Ainz to bone her.
Deathstar 699 and that's nothing compared to the left out content that the animé didn't adapt....... Sadly overld animé adaptation doesn't leave out to the full source material
originally her creator planned was about to make her (Albedo) as a high rank Angel, but she decided to mix her racial level as a "demon of a dreams". So basically she's not entirely a succubus.
Rakha Sulaiman | A way of seeing her is as The Devil, who is an Angel. In the Islamic Qur'anic version, Iblis does not bow toward Adam, eventhough the order was given. All angels received the order. Therefore, Albedo is actually a loyal servant, but there are some commands she will not obey. Ainz is a King Solomon style character by the way.
The idea of the squad formation being saved for a later season makes sense, at least to me. If the point comes when it will effect the main story, then the scene could be inserted as a sorta "flashback", not truly flashing back, but distorting the time gap in a more "viewer-friendly" way. Say the hit squad doesn't actually do anything for a couple seasons, the audience might forget about them. So, I'm of the opinion that the scene could be shown if a time comes where they play a large enough role. That's my take, anyway.
You can sum up Albedo's thing in one sentence: She feels betrayed by the other members of Momonga's guild, as Momonga was the only one who decided to stay with them instead of abandoning them, so she is going to try to kill everyone but Momonga.
I think it's quite tragic too though; if Albedo actually killed a guild member, and Momonga found out, his wrath would be quite extreme. And I think he'd know too, despite what Albedo might think, as he's able to communicate and be alerted to things. He might get some sort of popup (that isn't a popup graphic) whenever someone on his friends list comes 'online.' Remember he even tried to contact GM's (without response) when he first got sucked into the world.
Ainz does have that undead buff of suppressing his emotions so he can't feel angry for long. I can see him blaming himself for altering her personality which led to this obsession for revenge.
Agreed if ainz found out albedo found and killed a friend of his exile from nazarick would be the nicest thing he do Hell he would so enraged the suppression would fail and he will punish albedo brutally get shalltear to take part in that much to our favorite vampires delight
You have it backwards... in order to relieve Ainz of his weakness of his memory of his Guild mates, She truly does form this elite team to legit search for the other supreme beings in order to reunite them with Ainz thus filling his emptiness that is his weakness. Could go both ways...
This basically also confirms that, at the very least, Albedo is aware that Ainz is not some super genius that transcends normal intelligence. As otherwise she would not have dared to lie against him, thinking he would find out/see through it easily.
She might think this is what momonga secretly wants from her, but needed her to do it to cloak his intentions from the other guardians who would surely have an issue with it. In this sense, she wouldn't see it as lying to him, but telling a lie *to him*, meant to deceive the others.
In Season 4, Ains kissed on Albedo’s cheek though. Who knows what’s in future for that lol, and hopefully she does get what she wants at least rather than in an emotional trap.
But also you can think of that she's aware that ainz love their NPCs so he can blindy trust on them, even the most intelligent person can blindy trust the wrong person because you love that person, it happened in history a lot of times.
@@gasparmxm True, its likely more in that direction. Albedo seeing Ainz's unconditional love for the NPC's and his guild mates as a gaping clear target, a weakness to be exploited by enemies.

He briefly did after the last member left just before the servers closed, but then he collected himself. It was pretty sad and what got me into the series just because of how real it felt.

@@nyazillagojira7079 Ainz did try to blame them after the last party member Herohero leave the game. he even hit the table but then again rethink it back that it is not their fault
@@nyazillagojira7079 It could also be the fear of the last supreme being leaving Nazarick. (most likely wrong but long shot xD) As when Ainz stated in episode 11 of season 1 when they were in the treasury room that he was preparing a place for himself for the one day he leaves. She broke down in tears (i dont think she has cried anywhere else in the anime). Also had he said that they had all perished in battle it may have changed her view on the other supreme beings
I sure wish that theory is wrong, because if Albedo or more specifically her elite squad really does kill a supreme being and Ainz finds out about it, the combined sufering of the loss of his friend, the pain of the betrail and the guilt for changing Albedo's settings which would make him feel like it was his fault, would probably be one of if not the only situation that could drive Ainz to giving up on "life"(he is a undead, so i'm not sure if life is the right word).
Something to note is that Albedo has since called Ainz "Momonga-sama" while speaking to him. I can only recall one case of this, but I expect there will be more to come.
Its also interesting to note Albedos creator loves horror storys/the gerne overall gab moe and "pranks". These tendencys escalated at one point where one of Albedos sisters was used to suprise the supreme beings at their throne room & scared them all so bad that they almost all attacked the newly created NPCs. (The scray one with the creepy doll mechanic & weird head. She was originally first introduced before the fight with Shalltear where Momonga used her powers to find Shalltear but that scene was skipped) With that in mind & the huge lore tab Momonga didnt read besides some lines & included that "madly in love with Momonga" stuff. A few people theroize that maybe her lore is also due this somewhat fated to be the one NPC who betrays them due the lore details. I believe the most "un-loyal" is Demirgue. Whenever he does the "comedy" "I know you know but you are just testing my intelligence, while Ains actually doesn't knew", he is intelligent enough to realize Ains actually doesn't and is very gullible. Demirgue tests how far he can push his loyalty setting and is tricking Ains to his bidding all the time. The thing about Demirgues happy farm? Demirgue knew all the time Ains don't understand and told him this way to manipulate him.
I feel the exact opposite, being loyal to Ainz is a matter of pride to him so nothing would enrage him more than any form of betrayal. We've seen how angry he gets at Albedo, Sebas, and Eclair when their actions seem treasonous.
If we notice, each guardian had had a major arc involving them so far. There's a few that haven't, but they're coming. I think each season is going to dedicate a story line to two or three guardians at a time. Albedo will probably only get small stories and supporting roles until her time. When her arc roles around, her sisters might get introduced. My theory at least. So far we've had cocytus, demiurge, sebas, narberal, lupusregena, and shalltear. Could be wrong but who knows
Mm she gets a kinda big role was ambassador to the kingdom later on, ... actually as I type this I remember it wasn’t actually that long tho.. it was pretty cool but pretty short part if my memory serves me... Oh also... that’s when we are reminded of the dumbest fucking character ever... the dumb mf thinks he can marry albedo and rule the sorcerer kingdom! What a brilliant man he truly is!
I dont think she will betray Ainz. Like in Volume 13 or something when Ainz was heading off to find the dwarven kingdom; he kissed her, I think on the cheek or something and she started to cry like a child since she was so overwhelmed. It was extremely cute. Edit: But yeah I'm like 99% certain shes hunting the other supreme beings ~ But ultimately Ainz will be fine
I don't think so. I believe she's genuinely trying to find them, but since she has grown to be distrusting of them, is prepared to kill them if they are hostile.
@@Ytremz agreed. Albedo love Ainz more than she hate other Supreme Being. So, her priority is Ainz's wish, to meet other Supreme Being. She will likely never try to prioritize her hate over Ainz's wish.
Ahem She created a suicide squad to hunt down the other SB because she believes they betrayed him. In order to do so she recruits Several members (Pandora's actor and her sister as well)
Ngl, good shit mate. I've watched this anime twice (all three seasons) but not once have I ever considered all the minor yet eye opening pieces of what the world of overlord really is. Subbed.
I'm so ready for season 4! Rewatching the anime and watching your videos just makes the wait feel even longer! Great content, I can't wait to hear your breakdowns for the seasons to come.
i fucking knew it.... the bed scene and the ains ool gown flag was lying on ground while the flag of momonga was hanged was a clue!! all because he changed his name
this is why i love overlord... Albedo seems like a useless character added for fan service but if u dig deeper she may be the biggest conspiracy. I hope the anime continues
Hen Shin | Actually, Albedo is the unofficial Queen of Nazarick, and might actually be the defacto leader, like many female companions. In short, what happened in Nazarick is her responsibility. If someone got accussed falsely (or even truthfully) in Nazarick, it would be her neck and reputation that is put on the line.
My theory is that Pandora’s actor is a double agent. As Ainz’s creation, he understands more than anyone that Ainz is lonely, and desires companionship. And he is shown to be a lot smarter than he seems. But Albedo doesn’t take him seriously at all, and thinks he’s just a fool. Which is why she allows him to join, believing he will be willing to follow her.
Can you make an analysis on Victim? he looks very interesting and gets pretty shadowed out in the anime. I didn't even notice him being there until I rewatched the anime.
there really isn't much about him even in the LN ( up to the volume 13 at least) so i don't think you got stuff for a video only known stuff *spoiler* is he speak a weird language and him needing to die to activate his power which is rumored to be what stopped the 1500 men invasion on the 8th floor i never read that Rubedo had anything to do with the invasion
Ainz would be unbelievably pissed if he found out about Albedo's secret plan. The only reason he cares for all the inhabitants of Nazarick in the first place is because he thinks of them as his friends' children. So,if Albedo does actually succeed in killing a supreme being(which she won't because we know for a fact that none of them are there anymore) and then Ainz finds out,I don't even want to know what will happen to her.
It could also be that Ainz's outburst simply motivated Albedo to out and look for the other supreme beings just so she could make Ainz happy and bringing along Rubedo was just because of how important the task is. Plus bringing Rubedo along also means they wouldn't be able to kill Tabula. But on the flip side, if we're assuming Albedo is looking for the supreme ones with good intentions, the way she acted in the scene with Hekran dosn't make much sense. She isn't upset that Ainz is freaking out, just grim and angry. Assuming that she is just trying to make Ainz happy it would make sense for her to be upset and angry at Hekran for lying to him, instead she just seems angry. Like she is angry that Ainz cares about the supreme beings perhaps because it is clearly a weak point of Ainz or it could be simply out of jealousy. In the light novel it does come up quite a few times that she hates the name Ainz Ooal Gown not only because of the fact that it is not Momonga but because of how it represents the other supreme beings that hurt Ainz by abandoning him. There is a scene in her personal room where she tramples on the flag of Ainz Ooal Gown and freaks out about how much she hates the other supreme beings for abandoning everyone. So it does seem more likely that she is motivated by her hatred of the other supreme beings then the other way around. I don't want to see Ainz fight Albedo though, I think I would prefer it the series instead just went full hentai and Ainz used some contrived magic something to grow a dick or something stupid. It would hurt alot less then to see Ainz heartbroken after finding out Albedo killed one his friends...
this theory is mainly true this search team has a purpose of getting rid of any guild members found immediately that is why she insists in making rubedo one the team but what about her creator if that is found will be the biggest treason in nazarek
If Rubedo is a golem, like the other fan theory states, then her meeting her creator won't be a problem as she is mindless. If Albedo meets her creator, she may use the excuse of being in love and trying to protect Ainz while making him the sole ruler of Nazarick.
This makes a lot of sense. I've gotten a vibe from Albedo for a while that she could be the one, if anyone, to betray Ainz. I've been kinda torn on that idea though since her programming and obsessive love for him are incredibly at odds with planning to betray him. But this theory, Albedo planning to Betray Ainz by forming a hit squad to secretly take out other supreme beings, that makes perfect sense.
Edit: To summerize: - All the floord guardians are set to be loyal to all guild members, including Momonga, thus Albedo cannot and will not outright betray him. - Albedo knows she can't harm the other guild members herself because they can order her to stop, so she wants a squad not loyal to the other guild members so she can issue a hit.(Then either isolate herself from the other guild members or commit suicide to avoid being ordered to stop them before they can complete their task) - She scoffs at the Ains Ooal Gown flag because it's a changed brought about by the memories and ineraction with the other guild members. This is a threat to Momonga's very being; a threat to her Lord. - Despite being living beings in the new world, I don't think they CAN deviate much from their settings. There is evidence to this theory in the fact that they all lack what we consider common sense which just flies over their head despite being exposed to humans and Ains who still shows some form of common sense(in human terms) Actually, I think the reason Albedo would probably kill any of the other guild members is a bit more petty than what you've stated here lol. She probably sees them as being the reason Momonga changed his name and changing the person she loves, that's enough of a threat to her Lord for her to want to kill the rest of them from a loyal crazy in love servant stand point. In the Japanese dub where we see the flag on the floor of the bedroom, she says what is equivalent to "Rubbish" in Japanese in that context(The same word can also be used to mean other things like mundane, worthless, etc in other contexts) This probably refers to the fact that the change in Momonga's name and it's association with the other guild members(the name of the staff) which his friends all helped get which is a threat to his very being. Even as living beings in the new world, they still lack common sense and don't seem to pick up any common sense despite being exposed to the human world and to Ainz who obviously shows some fashion of common sense(in human standards) This to me shows that no matter what happens, Albedo won't outright betray him as in turn hostile towards him or the other floor guardians as this would be an act of aggression towards her Lord. I think the reason she wants a hit squad is because she knows she herself wouldn't be able to bring herself to harm the other guild members, but any monsters and beings created by Ainz would be able to with her standing order. Thus, if she can order a hit on the other guild members and then isolate herself from the other guild members or even commits suicide before she can be ordered by one of the other guild members to make them stop, she'll have achieved her goal.
Could you imagine later on in the series Touch Me confronts Ainz as the last remaining of the 41, after Albedo has hunted down and slain the other Supreme Ones with Rubedo. But from Touch Me's perspective, this creature using his guilds name and creations had caused this pain (not knowing Ainz is Momonga until he finally confronts him). And then Momonga realizes his friends are dead, effectively by his own hand with him changing Albedo's lore configuration.
There's one thing you missed here. Though more of a fan theory than stated fact, it's highly plausible. The fact that Ainz changed Albedos stats may have inadvertently changed her creator. I don't mean that Ainz literally became her creator, she knows who created her, but she doesn't have any feelings towards them. I don't think this is simply because she loves Ainz and sees the other supreme beings as having abandoned them, but something deeper than that. The other guardians all put their creators above all else, regardless of their "flavor text". I would argue that even if their personality traits directly indicated that they hated their creator that they would still somehow reconcile with themselves to be most loyal to that person. Now in games where you can create and change things like in YGGDRASIL (obviously not as detailed though) if they incorperate an ownership tag, often the last person to make any sort of edit or change will be designated as the "owner" of the item. The concept from a computers perspective is much more straightforward, it's not who did the majority of the work, or started the work, but the last person to make a change regardless of how small it is. The primary reason for this is that an ownership tag usually isn't important to actual gameplay and is very easy to change. A common example is modifiable items in games, if person A crafts a sword they are the creator or owner of that sword, if person B buys is then that creator tag will stay with the item and still show created by person B. But if person B then modifies the sword, by adding an enchantment or a better part to it then most systems will change the creator tag to person B. If you gave that sword sentience it would probably remember being created by person A, but would most likely see person B as its actual creator, in terms of emotion that is. That is exactly what I believe happened to Albedo, even though she knows who her actual "creator" is, her creator tag was transferred to Ainz when he changed her stats and thus the emotions and loyalty that she would normally feel toward her creator was transferred to Ainz. I believe the "love" part of her "flavor text" plays a completely different role than deciding her loyalty. In fact I would even go so far as to argue that if Ainz changed her personality stats to hating him, or even wanting him dead, she would still be deathly loyal to him, just like Eclair is deathly loyal even though his personality is trying to rule over Nazzaric, though that might be a bad example lol.
Rubedo is not an NPC she is a world item. Ainz fears that she is not bound by loyalty like the rest of the floor guardians by that fact. That is why she is sealed of on the 8th floor.
@@adviel wait isn't she an NPC created with a world item? Either way she wouldn't follow normal NPC behavior, but I'm nott sure that she herself is a world item. (She's just something above a normal NPC)
adviel No, she's not a world item; and her creation using a world item, which is the caloric stone, is just a theory. It is stated by nigredo that she's a threat to Nazarick because she's "created differently" but that was all that is said about her creation. It is likely that she was created ising the caloric stone (which can be used to create the core of a golem)
"Is Albedo going to betray Ainz?" Me (in the back of the classrom): Sorry, but I can already hear the sound of Albedo's panties dropping and ovaries exploding if Ainz merely pulls her in for a kiss.
I literally watched you yap for 18+ mins but I was still entertained. Love your vids, please keep up the hard work cause I appreciate you and your interpretation of the stories.
Great video as always there was some evidence that you did not mention but you got all the main points also the fact that albedo hates the suppreme one was confirmed in a short story i dont remeber which one exactly maybe it was the emissary of the king also in the sub version for season 2 i watched and the version that all the reactors i hav seen watched albedo sais this is ridiculous which is not what she said in the light novels the anime is know for mistarslations so in not supprised but this is ridiculous.
I'm only reading the manga and watching the anime, so this may have already been covered in the books. But I am pretty sure Ainz could ensure her eternal loyalty simply by giving her special permission to call him Momonga in private.
There are also hints that Albedo is very interested on Downfall of Land and Castle, the World Item that can Mind Control anything. Many speculate that she could potentially plan to use it on Ainz himself to make him reciprocate her feelings.
This video is just wow so much information back by research and complete understanding of the characters I love this channel, regarding the matter of the task force it’s possible that it could be meant for both since you have 2 of the smartest beings in the world albedo and Pandora’s actor they don’t really need anybody else when you have someone who’s a jack of all trades like pandora’s actor even if he can only copy the supreme ones I’m completely posible that one of them and a better tracking or searching skill better than aure(sorry if misspelled) even if it’s a lower level the purpose of the squad could be a judgment squad to decide whether a supreme one should be lead back to Ains to make him happy and help in his goals or be eliminated by rubedo if seen as a threat to ains remember the NPC are there characters to the fullest in personality and intelligence while the supreme ones might have the bodies of all powerful beings they still have the minds of normal people and I don’t think any of them have the intelligence of the flore guardians so someone smarter could manipulate them ains was nasarik(sorry) strategists and leader so the npc asume his genius but let’s say one of the supreme ones who’s a tank and mainly focus on fighting like touch me someone who no one in the squad has any real connection to might be manipulated or not seen a real threat to ains while someone like Ulbert Alain Odle might be seeing as he liked bad guys and was always arguing with other members of the guild might be a threat to ains hense the need to be eliminated and it’s possible that another member didn’t get along with ains and might want to take his position and that is my reasoning and analysis for the purpose of the squad comprised by Albedo, Pandoras actor, Rubedo and other lesser NPC
I think this scene would appear in season 4. It might be the trope where it shows a scene with the task force going somewhere and then use a flashback to show the scene of Albedo asking for the task force

You should have also mentioned the epilogue of the "Emissary of the King" side story. She pretty much says in it that she despises the rest of the Ainz Ooal Goan members, except Momonga.
Here it is:
The room she had been given was luxurious. No, as a room
which was worthy of the Supreme Beings, that much was
only to be expected.
Behind the desk in the center of the room was the sparkling
flag of Ainz Ooal Gown,
Not long after she had watched her master leave with a
cheerful smile on her face, a change came over her, and her
face was as cold as winter.
“-Hmph.”
Albedo raised the flag with one hand, and opened the door
within.
Inside was the bedroom of an absolute ruler of Nazarick.
After entering the room and ensuring it was properly locked,
she cast the flag aside.
The brilliant flag fell to the ground.
“The Ainz Ooal Gown which abandoned us… It makes me
mad.”
Although she had been filled with joy when her beloved had
taken that name for his own, that had turned to worry when
she realized that it also referred to the people who upset her.
With a fiendish expression on her face, Albedo approached
the flag on the floor and raised her foot to step on it.
“-Shit! How dare these pieces of shit insult my love’s
name!”
Albedo cursed freely as she trampled the flag. With her
breathing in chaos, she seemed to notice something and
raised her face, whose expression softened as she saw it.
Albedo opened her inventory and drew forth a large new flag.
She rubbed it against her face with a blissful expression, and
then when it was not enough, she rubbed her entire body
against it.
The flag she was holding was one of the 41 displayed before
the throne, the one representing his own name that
Momonga had struck down.
Albedo had swiftly retrieved it after the fact.
“Ahhh, Ainz-sama. No, Momonga-sama. Only you are my true
master. I shall make you the sole ruler of Nazarick. There’s no
need for those other people. Only you, and only you will rule
forever-”
As though her master were truly there, Albedo chanted those
words in a moist, breathy tone.
“Yes, absolutely. If anyone tries to stop you, I will destroy
them even if they’re a Guardian. I am your true follower, your
loyal slave. So please, bestow your compassion upon my
body…”
She slowly slid her hand downward, to the lower reaches of
her belly.

If anything watch season one episode 11. Watching Albedo cry when she heard that Ainz was preparing a place for himself for the day when he will be leaving them was heartbreaking and worth watching over and over again.
I dont think he meant he was going to leave them but that's how she took it Ainz himself said he has no intention of returning to his old world even if it were possible. He had a miserable life there and views nazarick as his home. Hes not going to leave
@@thedungeoneer33 It was more beautiful in the light novels.. in the LN, ainz stated that he might be gone someday (either by dying or going somewhere).. albedo cried a lot after that.. but the greatest scene was when ainz kissed albedo on the cheeks and albefo cried because she thought he would not do it.. and she even mentioned "momonga" and not "ainz" afterwards...
@@thedungeoneer33 Its not that he'd leave them
No, its that he might die fighting Shalltear. It was pretty obvious
Hence, it can be said that Albedo is the only NPC created by 2 players, causing a duality in her.
interesting
Like she inherited Ainz’s buried resentment for the former members of the guild but because she lacks the actual context as to why, it evolved into outright hatred.
@@VolticWindthat’s true I’m watching the anime now and his illogical side felt betrayed

13:54 "There was an ideia. To bring together a group of remarkable npcs. so when we needed them, they could fight the battles that we never could".
Seeing this made me think about a civil war scenario like Albedo and Pandora's actor vs. Rubedo would be an awesome fight
"That NPC dosent belong to you! I made Albedo!"
Albedo = Fury (Formed the team. Loyal to their ideals(protect Momonga) against anything and everything. No matter what)
Pandora's Actor = Captain America (Loyal to their ideals(Momonga) and will fight until the end)
Who else? I throw out Demiurge as Tony. Egocentric and intelligent beyond all measure. Constantly working on making their projects to be perfect, learning more each step of the way. Eventually fights an opposing forces that contradicts their ideals(Protecting Mononga by hurting him). Not a perfect 1:1, Tony fights Steve not Fury. You get the idea
I see it as, Albedo inherited Ainz's feelings of abandonment when he changed her settings the same way the other characters inherited the aspects of their creators.
Ainz’s editing of her settings would basically make him her co-creator.
Yeah, I feel this is how the outright hate she seems to have for the other supreme beings came to be, he was literally pissed off about them leaving him there, alone as he made the change to her settings.
He's literally her bone daddy.
Maybe Ainz need to do a full body transformation, get a body and lay some pipe.
D M Fuck that, maybe temporarily though. But he is bone daddy so not permanently
He has libido that reacts... It was hinted in the 1st season!
It'll be like hell. Getting boner then suddenly turned off.
Hahaha he can’t cause of his passive ability.
Its and Anime/Light Novel it would never happen.
I feel kinda bad for Albedo pretty often because of this unrequited love she has for him tbh.
@@melikechoc0 the tragic part is that he hurts her without intention and he doesn't know How to respond to each approache
@@melikechoc0 You're right and that's also why I actually wish he could show a little sympathy to her..

No hit squad in season 4, however the movies should show the part where she stipulates using a certain lizard for her squad... (no spoilers lmao)
no mention of the hit squad even in the recent vol
Infact the traitor is the penguin.
@@nightmareblackdoctor3478 lol 😂👌😎
Albedo will go against Ainz' orders. But will not betray him.
I like to refer to the Shalltear incident. Demiurgos was willing to go against Ainz' orders forcing him to stay in Nazarick and was appalled Albedo didn't do so
to the point she should step down as overseer if something happened to Ainz.
Albedo is doing the same in this situation. She hates the other S.B's but above all hate them for the damage they inflict to Ainz.
So she will act against his wishes to protect Ainz and simultaneously vent her hatred.
Is this disobedience? Yes
Is this morally incorrect? Yes
Is this disloyalty/betrayal?

But u see ainz created Pandora actor because he missed his friends.
Being Ainz' creation, I think Pandora's Actor would know what Ainz would really want...He probably wouldn't make a move without informing Ainz.

Basically
Albedo HATE the guild members (the supreme beings) because she thinks they just left Ainz/Momonga alone
She even hate her own creator
But she LOVES Ainz/Momonga
I love all this stuff surrounding Albedo's suspicious actions. Ainz's little joke only condemned Albedo to an eternal suffering, even more so considering her toxic, obsessive and sickening love that will never be reciprocated more because of Ainz's guilt than his physiological imposibility.
She might kill the others but she'd never kill him or remove him
that the point of this video.

The more I hear about these theories, the more I think Overlord is going to end badly. Ains is walking a thin line.
B. Thomas | That is why to avoid 'The Last Problem', they used Isekai Quartet as an Escape Capsule.
Jon Mcgee for real I wouldn’t be surprised if he destroys albedo’s whole squad including albedo herself, but he’d need something to deal with rubedo
Ainz wouldnt get pissed he would understand how albedo felt if he was ever stuck in that same position
He would never kill his subordinates
No, he would probably break down in guilt instead. Ainz never considers his NPCs to do something disloyal or mean because they are bad people. He always see it as a ramification of their NPC settings. In other words if Albedo has killed a Supreme Being, he would believe that this was all a result of him making her love him and wallow in guilt and despair, especially since he not only desecrated their creation, but actually went ahead and caused the death of his dear friends.
Jon Mcgee | There will TWO Hit Squads. One official, the other is unofficial. Hekkeran seems to be part of the unofficial one of Albedo's Hit Squad.

"Albedo best girl"

One point that was hinted at: because of Ainz's edit, he could be seen as Alebdo's creator as much as Tabula.
You can sum up Albedo's thing in one sentence: She feels betrayed by the other members of Momonga's guild, as Momonga was the only one who decided to stay with them instead of abandoning them, so she is going to try to kill everyone but Momonga.
If that happens I'm expecting ainz to be pissed

This basically also confirms that, at the very least, Albedo is aware that Ainz is not some super genius that transcends normal intelligence.
As otherwise she would not have dared to lie against him, thinking he would find out/see through it easily.
Or does it? She could be utterly con inced that she believes Ainz is fully aware of what she will do
She might think this is what momonga secretly wants from her, but needed her to do it to cloak his intentions from the other guardians who would surely have an issue with it.

So,if Albedo does actually succeed in killing a supreme being(which she won't because we know for a fact that none of them are there anymore) and then Ainz finds out,I don't even want to know what will happen to her.
I love these videos about 0verlord and it's deeper lore
You are definitely something else. I loved this video. Keep up the great work!
It would hurt alot less then to see Ainz heartbroken after finding out Albedo killed one his friends...
that post escalated QUICKLY lmfoa
It's 1:40am here and after seeing this video I'm feeling scared because of all that random thoughts and images
not going to lie, this one blew my mind
Question albedo is loyal to ainz or not???
this theory is mainly true this search team has a purpose of getting rid of any guild members found immediately that is why she insists in making rubedo one the team but what about her creator
if that is found will be the biggest treason in nazarek
If Rubedo is a golem, like the other fan theory states, then her meeting her creator won't be a problem as she is mindless. If Albedo meets her creator, she may use the excuse of being in love and trying to protect Ainz while making him the sole ruler of Nazarick.
@@Vezoth56 isn't there also a theory song that rubedo is a world item ?
@@Zebelfast Yes. Rubedo being a golem made out of Caloric Stone, a World Class Item, is the theory which I am referring to.
@@Vezoth56 oh cool dope
@ Albedo and Rubedo are sisters so it's Tabula Smaragdina.
Edit: To summerize:
- All the floord guardians are set to be loyal to all guild members, including Momonga, thus Albedo cannot and will not outright betray him.
- Albedo knows she can't harm the other guild members herself because they can order her to stop, so she wants a squad not loyal to the other guild members so she can issue a hit.(Then either isolate herself from the other guild members or commit suicide to avoid being ordered to stop them before they can complete their task)
- She scoffs at the Ains Ooal Gown flag because it's a changed brought about by the memories and ineraction with the other guild members. This is a threat to Momonga's very being; a threat to her Lord.
- Despite being living beings in the new world, I don't think they CAN deviate much from their settings. There is evidence to this theory in the fact that they all lack what we consider common sense which just flies over their head despite being exposed to humans and Ains who still shows some form of common sense(in human terms)
Actually, I think the reason Albedo would probably kill any of the other guild members is a bit more petty than what you've stated here lol.
Albedo is waifu for lifu

This is something I've been waiting for. Thank you
This is the first time I believe in a conspiracy theory.
Goddamn you Tabula!!!
Why!!! Why so many contradictions in your characters!!!!
The headaches involved in her creation!!!!
He liked gap moe
The contradictions were already there , and momonga went and changed one for another worst lol
Getting an Aninews sweatshirt for Christmas love the design!
I hope you enjoy it :)
sure. but PA is in it. If he finds out anything Ainz will hear about it
*slight edit because I learned something
Lex Basco caloric stone can also enhance weapons and armor.who knows maybe ainz found a way to use it enhance a npc
@@adviel even tho the creation of Rubedo is different from the others, she is still an NPC of Nazarick.
Bro your emotional intelligence is something I admire it's a gift this is great what you do only if you know why?
I don't usually like these anime commentaries and analysis but this channel is pretty dope. subbed
Another great video AniNews! And this is such an awesome theory, especially considering Albedo was an afterthought in the published LN/Anime.
"Is Albedo going to betray Ainz?"
Me (in the back of the classrom): Sorry, but I can already hear the sound of Albedo's panties dropping and ovaries exploding if Ainz merely pulls her in for a kiss.
I literally watched you yap for 18+ mins but I was still entertained. Love your vids, please keep up the hard work cause I appreciate you and your interpretation of the stories.
So basically he created a glitch in the system letting Alberto develop in an interesting way
0:20 hey I saw that "Nabe best girl"
Thank Ainz I'm not alone
That climb's pic when you said joke was hilarious 😂
I love your humor
Great video as always there was some evidence that you did not mention but you got all the main points also the fact that albedo hates the suppreme one was confirmed in a short story i dont remeber which one exactly maybe it was the emissary of the king also in the sub version for season 2 i watched and the version that all the reactors i hav seen watched albedo sais this is ridiculous which is not what she said in the light novels the anime is know for mistarslations so in not supprised but this is ridiculous.
For me whenever I try to visualize albedo's perspective, I see her as a very conflicted individual.
I'm only reading the manga and watching the anime, so this may have already been covered in the books. But I am pretty sure Ainz could ensure her eternal loyalty simply by giving her special permission to call him Momonga in private.
Excellent video ....the scenario is extremely plausible cant believe I never connected those dots .......really good job bro
There are also hints that Albedo is very interested on Downfall of Land and Castle, the World Item that can Mind Control anything. Many speculate that she could potentially plan to use it on Ainz himself to make him reciprocate her feelings.
This just makes me even more hyped for a potential s4 :O
That''s why Overlord is a very good story. When a story makes many people thinks about things that you and youtubers made and will make videos about like this, it's a successfull story
Man, the layers of character extrapolation in this is impressive.
