The thing is, they all act nice at the beggining. Take you to the movies, for dinner, compliment you all the time, buy you nice things. But overtime, they eventually start acting different, like their true self. You can only put an act on for so long. And i think most ppl want to believe that their partner can be good, that this monster they see before them, isnt the real them. But it is. The good person you saw at the beggining, wasn't them, it was all fake. They are a monster, and they won't change. If you're in an abusive relationship you need to get out, it'll only get worse. Stop clinging onto false hope, you can have such a happier life.
The thing is that you really end up believing that its your fault and you hate yourself for it and it's not them that will change it is us that need to make the change because this will shut you down where there will be times you can't speak the words won't come out you have to actually write to communicate and it affects the people' who witness it too
