I like mine, Fits in well with the other 32 or so I have. Casios are cool this one is that too. I change watches whenever the mood strikes me during the day. if I am gonna need a specific function I grab one with that function. When I don't know what I might need or when I will be able to change I opt for something with everything but it is always a Casio. Nothing better in my opinion.
I happen to like this watch quite a bit. Yes, the styling is different. Yes, it should have better functionality from the module. But it has what I use the most and I like the looks. My biggest complaint is battery life. I’d love to see a solar version or a 10 year version. If you want to sell yours, let me know!
Excellent points. Tough Solar would a MAJOR upgrade and that would solve what I see as it's #1 complaint. I'd love to see the numbers enlarged. Too small of a digital readout for the size case surrounding it.
I think the font is the same size of that on the DW5600. What is different is the spacing between characters. I you want large fonts try the DW291, it’s $32 and has world time plus multiple alarms. Also the buttons on the 290 are superior to the ones on the DW5600. Notice the larger buttons on top and the even the larger ones at the bottom. Even the recessed adjust button can be easily pressed with a finger. The recessed button the 5600 is a challenge on which nail to use.
Very cool. However, there are too many Casios out there that I think are way better. You’re right, you really have to be into the movie this watch was in to get it for the price. Thanks!
Cool, cool video! I love the Hoover for the leaves! !I’m 100% with you: 2 year battery only? You gotta be kidding me, Casio! And yet. I have THREE of these! A Japanese from the mid-90’s, a made in china from 2012 and a more recent one with blue/green lettering still on. The difference in the light is interesting. I reviewed ‘em on my channel,
I can only tolerate one. Picking up leaves is sooo different with that setup. Thanks for watching and I'm checking out your channel. Have a great weekend!
how is the green lettering holding up? really want this watch but alot of people say the test rubs off...maybe some sort of sealent can keep the letters on
Well, if you wear it a lot- the green writings will certainly fade (first). Yet you can take anti measures for this situation as I did- I own a second one, bran new in the box- when the first piece will wear out, I’m gonna switch.
Me alegra oírlo.
Not impressed but a 9 / 10. Damn. Seems like should have been a 6. I have it. I dig it for the 90s vibe and the MI connect. A decent one for me to keep in the affordable sub collection. I strongly believe this is being phased out and discontinued. An update of this one from Casio would be nice, but I doubt we will see that.
Thanks for watching less than 20 seconds of the video and constructing a thorough critique based on evidence presented in less than 20 seconds. Wonderful analytical technique. Have a great week.
I love this watch. It’s fun to wear and I smile whenever I look at it. Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoy it!

That explanation is perhaps the BEST explanation for wearing/swapping watches I’ve ever seen. I’m adopting it. Thank you for sharing.
I even might have a diver on one wrist and a Casio on another. When I get back home, I might switch to another watch.
Such a great design, and a joy to put on, especially now I've changed the strap to a non-tapering, supple rubber.
I like that idea.
I happen to like the grove in the middle of the strap.

100% agree the buttons on the 5600 series of watches are very difficult to use. Thanks for watching and have a great Sunday.
Almost a month wait time between filming (15 Oct) and publishing (11 Nov). Wow! 😮
It’s time consuming…and there is even more time spent on the wrist to get data for practical purposes.
Very professional and informative video, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I use a leather punch to make an in-between hole, usually between holes 7and 8
yes, plenty of affordable options on Amazon as well.
Love the music.
Throwback music from when I was a kid. (1970-80s). Take care.

I don’t wear it much. It’s still on the case but I’m not a good test for longevity.

Amo este reloj, saludos desde Colombia 🇨🇴

@@Realidealgear Hola! Cómo evitar se borren las letras verdes?

The steel buckle from a standard G-Shock is a direct replacement for the plastic one.
Good to know, thank you.

Excellent points. It is a cult classic and that's what drives this watch. Have a great week.
Flash alert is great! Here's some more models that have it: dw6900
Dw5600e
G7900
G9000
Great info, thanks.
yeah yeah the watch is great. when can you do my leaves?
In no time flat.
I like this one so much- I have two. 😉🤷🏼♂️
It’s a popular watch with a truly unique 90s design. Have a great Sunday.
First! Had this one some years ago. Gave it to my son and I think it's no longer functioning.
It's an odd watch. Any idea what happened?
@@Realidealgear I think it was just left aside and neglected. Battery probably leaked by now.
Haha, dust proof. I replaced my band with nylon, much better fit and more comfortable.
I need to do that with more of my Casios!
Find a punch diameter near the tine size., I have skinny wrist syndrome 😊
I have purchased a lunch set and have used it on straps. Very helpful.
It’s a brilliant watch! Period! Your review is unending negativity. Never mind, that’s 19.49 seconds of my life I’ll never get back
