But no doubt the trip itself was a factor. It was a very clean game with very few penalties for either team. I think only one personal foul and that was a face mask. A lot of time when a team is loosing badly they commit frustration fouls but that didn't happen here. That tells me these kids are well coached and/or raised right. I was actually a little worried coming into this game just from a few highlight videos. I could tell they had good size and speed. Steele is definitely not a state power right now. Birmingham?! They were in my school's league and we were the lowest of the low🤣
Lmao Anybody from L.A. knows that Birmingham plays in the city and nobody plays in the city lol
I know damn well y’all didn’t just beat a team nobody even heard of an think they beat the hole state of California Iv never heard of no Birmingham🤦🏾♂️ ever and Iv been following CIF football for over 20 years😂
Just like y’all put MD on Creekside, GA y’all stay playing unknown teams. Y’all can dish it out but can’t take it
@@rackss1661 how many times they have to play Duncanville, no body else wants to play.
Steele Knight here. We have a 6 team district so everyone else is already playing district. It is hard to get a game in week 5. I am not sure how many teams were reached out to but am glad this team made the trip and hope the boys enjoyed their time here. They got to do a few things other than play this game including attending a Texas State game.
I personally do not think this is a "bad" team. They made a lot of mistakes that made the game easy for us. Take away all of the missed snaps and fumbles and it would have been a competitive game in my opinion.
We are probably the best team in the San Antonio area and a top 4 in the San Antonio/Austin area in my opinion. But a lot of Houston and DFW area schools are much better than we are. We played a solid but not perfect game in this one. Our opponent just made too many mistakes and turnovers to keep up. I do wish this team the best the rest of their season.

You just can’t compare TX football to football anywhere else. Period. Them Tx boys beat the breaks off a trash CA team as they should. To you all it may not be TX bs Cali but them players know it’s TX vs anyone else.
Compare Apples to Apples. Steele needs to play a Division 1 team. Birmingham is a city team, Not even the top City team.
Cali who?
Birmingham is 132 in Cali and Steele is top 30 in texas steele would get smoked if they played a top 30 cali team

@@freezy8593 what cause I said a top 30 Cali team would beat a top 30 Texas team lmao?
Ive said it numerous times, California nationally is only as good as their 3 private schools: Mater Dei, St. John Bosco, and De La Salle. And even then those schools don't impress me because they are private schools that have no school zones and selectively recruit across the region.
It amazes me that they praise those schools. When they’re basically ran like a college program with all their team from other parts of the country. If Texas was to put together just a Texas all star team like those schools Texas would smash them.
@@bryankirkham8249 Play against those below top 3 then? Hmm Texas want ...Where California teams play anyone. You looked at the top 25 this year California has 6 teams Texas 3.
@xavierquinn2364, do you see any schools in Texas sending out any invites to play Rancho Cucamonga or Mission Viejo? No. Because they would get slaughtered. Texas recruits in state and out of the state of Texas and still can’t beat any top teams. When have you ever seen a Texas high school number one in the rankings😂😅

How y’all gonna compare a team that’s not even ranked top 50 in California and plays for a shiityyy division in Cali… to the #23 team in Texas… top 20 Cali teams different story
For all the Texas ppl talking shit about Birmingham and what not. Yall beat a Cali team that’s not all that good. I played in this division 10 years ago, Birmingham had ballers back then I believe the team I played against had 3 players go pro. Right now that division can’t compete with the top Texas schools. If you want to compare apples to apples then play the top public schools. Like I said I lived down the street from Birmingham that Division is weak compared to top LA school s.
Look who’s backpedaling, saving face, and downplaying the game. Same as per usual. Can’t expect any responsibility nor ownership from y’all. However when a private school from Cali beats up on a public school from Texas y’all parade around and make it a big deal when it’s a skewed match to begin with. Hypocrites.
MD still whooped on donkeyville last and y’all can’t compete with Centennial out of the public schools.
How long was that?
MD recruits which proves my point and we will never know about Centennial because they don't come to Texas

All LA City section are garbage and. That’s why they are never playing against the CIF Southern section teams. Narbonne and Crenshaw used to compete against the mid tier teams from the CIF. But now they are all pretty much garbage. I hope Texas feels proud to play our garbage public schools in LA city section. Next time challenge a decent CIF public school.
There's always an excuse when Texas beat Cali and Florida teams that don't recruit.
Stfu y’all picked SJB to play Allen who is trash and knowing MD and Bosco recruit. Cen10 Sierra LBP and all y’all good publica never play good teams in Texas.
Narbonne got axed for recruiting but MD, Bosco and the privates can do the same. Some one was hating on them. They were basically the new LB Poly for a few years.
"Don't recruit"? You know that for sure or regurgitating what u read in the comment section? I know most Miami teams are from neighborhoods chief. Miami is not the size of Texas where you're schools are basically county teams. Central, Northwestern, Booker T, Norland, Carol City, etc are neighborhood schools. Not like Allen, Duncanville, Desoto,.etc.that cover the size of counties.
@@keithjones6970 so you’re comparing kids living in the same county to kids because recruited across the country to make your argument. Of court Miami ain’t the size of TEXAS! Was that a real comment? And you made my argument for me, the fact that Florida neighborhood schools compete nationwide because they’re allowed to recruit.
what a waste
Texas high school football is straight up trash. When’s the last time a Texas high school has been number one in the nation? Texas high school football can’t even keep a power 5 conference alive…Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri all had to leave the Big 12 because they said Texas ruined it. Now Texas runs to the SEC and no one in the SEC wants them there. Texas is so pathetic, they made a tv network called the Longhorn Network that no one watches and loses money year after year😂
