I have a BE KIND plate on my bicycle. Today, I stopped at a store. A lady was sitting on a bench next to my bike. I took out a bag of croissants I had bought earlier and offered her a croissant. She didn't take it. But a few minutes later, she was going into the store and asked if I wanted a soda from the store. I replied, no thank you, I have water. That really made me so happy that my BE KIND plate reaches people.
That book by Paul Breiter 'Venerable Father', where the Monk complained to Ajahn Chah that things were wrong and he replied 'if it wasn't supposed to be like this it wouldn't be like this' - this i remember daily, like 6 remembrances! Thank you Bhante 🙏🙏🙏

@@AjahnAchalo yes bhante I am doing that frequently last year also I came to Thailand at udon thani province for practice living with monks and nuns there I felt that's the best thing to do for our life and find true happiness within ourselves and now this month also am going to Nakhon ratchasima where there is one monastery for three months practice as a Mae Chee....as ur life story also inspires me that when u first became monk 6days a week u wanted to disrobe but u still continued.. like that I also want to give a try for myself so even if my parents dint want me I want to listen to my heart is that ok to hurt them to not listen to them and keep up my practice because I know I have good intention so this will not harm my karma of hurting them as it's for my own good and for my parents
I’m not entirely sure dear Deepika, because of cultural differences. My Australian parents basically considered me to have the right to make my own choices once I was an adult, and wished me happiness. But Asian culture is very different. Eventually they were very proud. I wish you all the best for your three month retreat!
Sadhu bhante it is true we have culture difference alot but for now I think they have given me this opportunity for three months I will just focus on my retreat later dhamma will help automatically thank you for guidance and support it means alot ❤😇🙏🪷

Hi Deepika. Because I don’t know your situation well personally it is difficult to say. But perhaps shorter periods of retreat are possible at first?
