  • “Extant literature on cross-cultural conflict management and negotiation has largely focused on the message domain of communication, namely norms for direct vs indirect expression and conflict management. Chapter 5 presents a holistic analysis of four domains of communication context in negotiation and conflict management and proposes that in addition to managing the message context through engaged listening, negotiators and conflict managers can explore relationships, time orientation, and space sensitivity as potential opportunities for building consensus.”
