It awsome to see SIR on RUclips. Grew up a few hours away from Saskatoon and watched a few races when I was young. Now I live just down the road so I see the track everyday. Love the sound of these hotrods wide open from a couple km away.
richards old gto sure gets around i watch all the races in the states and he drives that gto down there and manages to compete in most of the drag and drives and the other big races first time catching your great channel quality stuff keep it up if there was more racing up here you could give be as big as 1320 vid
I use to go to SIR in '74 and '75. When did they switch over to 1/8 mile racing? If any racers or just fans are looking for great tech tips, dyno action and motor build videos they should check out Steve Morris Engines from Muskegon, Michigan. Steve also makes his own awesome billet aluminum SML/SMX blocks and heads and 2000 to 3000 HP plus street engines that live.
It's wild to me that all these cars are "street legal" when friggin SGI won't safety my 2001 Cummins truck, because it has a straight pipe exhaust. Just moved to Sask, the SGI monopoly on everything automotive sucks. You barely have wrecking yards out here, but everyone is a car guy. It's so bizzare.
There are wrecking yards everywhere but its all 60 year old stuff. Only cops in stoon care if ur road legal and sgi's rule on having a muffler is pretty universal everywhere you go haha
"The canadian chuck norris"...great guy, beautifully done car. But my lanta is it ever sad that alls ya need to do in this day and age to gain "fame" money and sponsors is publicly document your trip from Canada to drag week. Guys probly the 500th man to accomplish this but the inky one to bring it to social medias front row attention. So funny, catch yas all on my road trip from northern canada to drag week next year! LOL
SIR is a great place , but a racetrack is only as good as it's leadership. The problem in Manitoba is the RM of Gimli owns the tracl and they don't invest any money into it at all, then they lease it out to 3 different groups. None of them want to put money into it, because it's not their asset. We have a really bad deal here in Manitoba.
Richard Guido drives his car from Red Deer Alberta to Florida for Sick week, Oklahoma, Texas etc for Rocky Mountain Raceweek etc etc. Definitely a street car.
@@ThatTrackChannelI say it the same way as you. NOT Sell-ica. Like you say different places. Friend from uk says MACK 1. We say or I say Mawk 1 for Mach 1. We all know what car it is, doesn’t matter how it’s pronounced.
Cool the see SIR on the tubes. I used to Race my KZ1000 there in the 90s.

Damn that orange truck is absolutely GORGEOUS, the little Toyota is insane looking also. Jesus that Toyota gets it and just eats.
The old 30's red& white hotrod is some kind of quick
@@reidgilker4473 yeah, blazing fast! Low 5s in a stick shift car is pretty crazy!
Some fast cars out in Saskatchewan. Nice to see team Manitoba representing 👍🏻. Great video

Top notch video. Well done.
@@rickwilde918 thanks for the comment, inappreciate it.
I'm so happy to see some more press on sask car culture. I plan on doing a cross country documentation of Canada's car culture in the far future
Great video. Couldn’t make it that day to watch the racing…thanks for sharing. Sub added…from Rosthern, Sask. by the way…excellent commentary!
@@bobjons7 thanks for the comment! I appreciate it@
Well done job of that video. Entertaining interviews, great view of the action. Some really cool cars too. Be nice to see 1/4 mile though.
@tomp1612 hey thanks for the comment. I appreciate it!
Nothing to do on the prairies but build fast cars! Thanks for the great content Gary!!
Thanks for another great video.
I grew up in Saskatoon and never realized we had a drag strip. Is it always just 1/8 mile, or is it a 1/4 mile track too?
That black nova 🤯🤤👌
EPIC thanks for sharing !!

Good to watch

Did you get a video for wildrides Gimli August 24
It’s probably coming soon. He’s a one man show.
I was there filming. I'm just really far behind, so I gotta see when i can fit it in.
Second! Keep the bangers coming brother!

@@04srt4champ gimli has a lot of potential. It just needs to have constant promotion.

@indianaslim4971 thanks for the comment! Hopefully one day the following will grow significantly.
sheldons acadian is the same car my grandma had.
I think I seen that car at Walmart
That can’t be. Saskatchewan. Not a single running board on those cars.
Dude burned the other guy down
It does appear that way. I know they have 7 seconds to get in, but 7 seconds on the trans is brutal.
I own this track buddy
for street legal, you never see them on the street.
@@fila6243 it's definitely rare to see any of em on the street.
Sweet lol
Street cars?
Race cars with license plates. None of these cars would pass the SGI safety inspection.

@Tupaistella I'm pretty sure the other car was a turbo car too in this case.
Pretty small turn out, some quick cars though
@user-xt3ot1xu1b yeah, it was small. But quality stuff there.
