    The rebuild one spins for about 23 seconds, the other one just for 6 seconds, but yes I got the idea, and the importance of rebuilding the E50. Thanks for sharing.

    It all depends on the use the td 124 has previously had. If there is no play on the bearings they can be returned to good working order, no need to replace them. Just put tem in the oven in a paper towel, repeat process for 2/3 times. Then reheat in the oven and put them on a solvent, repeat twice. Then heat the bearings in oil and let it cool down, they will retain max oil. Clean the inside of the motor, use new felt pads, mount and align the shaft for minimun noise and drag. And voilá, as good as new. Anyone with some DIY capabilities can do it!

    OK, fine. But my TD124 is located 6K miles from your shop. No way to send it to you, so I'll take Mr. Kaplan's advice (below) and lubricate it as best I can.
