His playing is beautiful and sparkly clean, but I feel it sometimes steps on other people's shoes. There's little space for the other musicians onstage to shine imo
I doubt he will play drums again on a professional level anytime soon, dude got serious issues... he's been fired by Kenny Garrett early last year and stopped playing with Kamasi...
All solo no groove. A wank. Seriously ridiculous chops but….really. Just listening while I type-he’s shitting all over the organ solo spot. ABSOLUTELY NO SPACE
@timothypaige7862 So true. I like that speed and sound like this, but you right some stuff (ideas )the same. I do not like everything that he's playing. Just some rudiments
@@vadimshubindrummeri'm sorry to bother but if you want to see someone less playing a lot of notes, just listen to pop music. Jazz fusion requires interactions so what he's playing is like what jazz fusion drummers are doing. Dave weckl and vinnie did things like this. And everything we drummers do also using rudiments. Ron bruner doin it to the next level
@@riekysamodraDon’t agree with you!!! There is a difference between playing for the music and playing to satisfy yourself!! This guy only thinks about his own self-indulgence and comes across that way and shows how undisciplined he is as a player!!!! Add the fact also that he is not all there in his mind!!!
@@sticktrik you just don't know how jazz fusion drummers play. He can play pocket but this scenario is different. If you think that way, why he can play with stanley clarke, george duke, prince, kamasi washington, allan holdsworth, erykah bahdu, kenny garrett, tony grey, lee ritenour, tribal tech even with his brother himself thundercat? If he just think about himself, he won't be on a gig. Too much pocket in you, you just don't know how to play chops.
Yes, this is the kind of news. I love to hear about the amazing Ronald Bruner.

Just amazing. Very precise and rudimentary. He is in a different stratosphere with these chops ❤❤
@@mikes7707 so true 😀🥁👍
Ronald's playing is so freaking sick!
Also Brian Evans at the end

@chrispotter766 everybody deffrent. You are so right. That is just fusion improvisation. Flying around drums.
He's pushing the envelope, It's fusion,he's a M.F. Enough said.🥁🎶🔥
Is all that speed necessary ? I kno he has a enormous build up but man is it always the same thing ?
