Everyone should give Epic Roller Coaster a try on PSVR2 since it is a completely free game that will let you go through tutorial that helps determine the level of blinders you need for your VR comfort. Beyond that, the free base game includes 4 courses (Rock Falls, Secret Cave, T-Rex Kingdom, and Tropical Island) that can be played in one of three modes (Classic, Race or Shooter). It is a VR Experience game that lets you ride roller coasters in one of the modes. * Classic let's you ride a coaster alone or with a companion of your choosing as you are treated to leisurely ride with ability to take pictures and selfies. * Race puts you in a more thrilling ride where you can accelerate (index trigger) or brake (grip trigger) and try to complete as fast as possible without getting derailed. * Shooter puts you in a moderate ride with focus on dual wield shooting targets (unlimited ammo without reloads) where point per target increases from consecutive shots. The Race and Shooter modes both feature leaderboards. Race mode has additional option on whether you are allowed to derail which was off by default. The game includes trophies, but no Platinum. All trophies can be earned playing just the free base game content. As of now, there are 4 paid DLC bundles that I think include 4 courses each $10 each: * Amusement Park Bundle * Real Places * Super Roller Coasters * SpongeBob SquarePants Each course of the base game and any additional course you buy include their own default carriage and weapon. You are allowed to mix and match these to play any of the courses in any of the modes. I don't know if the game is using foveated rendering of any kind, but the game looks pretty good within headset for a Unity game on PSVR2. It also has limited loading and recovering from derailing is near instant. The haptic feedback intensity is set high and you will feel it starting from the title screen and anytime you are riding the coaster. Options do let you turn it off, but don't provide option to customize intensity. I actually like the intensity they are using for controller haptics to simulate the feel of being on a coaster, but some may like option to lower and not turn off completely. There isn't any haptic feedback on the headset, but if added, again I think it would be best to provide a haptics intensity slider rather than on/off. This is a very easy game to recommend, not just because it is free to start, but because I think it is a great showcase game to invite casuals into the classic mode and more trill seeking players can enjoy the Race and Shooter modes for leaderboard placement.
I’m going to give this a go tonight. I enjoyed the rollercoaster in switchback vr and this might be better because it’s faster. And it’s free. Only 1 dlc pack appeals to me and I may buy it , if I like the feee trial
@@grahamkelly8662 Not just faster, you get to control the speed and try to get fastest time for leaderboards in much wider variety of environments and designs. The coaster does go as fast in Switchback Horde mode, but it doesn't have any loops or jumps or Pterodactyl catching you mid air to fly you around before dropping you like Epic Roller Coaster has :)
@@paokaraomadara258 The base game image includes SpongeBob since that is the latest DLC addition, but it doesn't include SpongeBob courses which is a separate DLC for $10 (US Region).
