[ÜSTRA] Special trip with an overland feeling | Cab ride | Line 1 Döhren / Depot - Sarstedt [4K]

Looking over the shoulder of the tram driver in TW 2000 as a special trip from Döhren / depot to Sarstedt.
After you asked for it again and again, I recently rented a TW 2000 and went as a special trip to Sarstedt without passengers to be able to present this charming route with inter-country charm to you in the video.
Look over my shoulder while preparing the train before we leave the Stadtbahn depot in Döhren.
The first signal goes a little crazy and must be run over stop so that we can finally get on the track.
Through the district of Wülfel it goes to the city limits of Hanover and Laatzen. Two sections lead through Laatzen, we use the new section through Laatzen-Mitte, which was opened in 1973 and extended in 1976, and pass the recently converted Laatzen turning loop.
The first short overland section is located between Laatzen and Rethen.
In the Rethen / Nord section to the Rethen loop, a lot will change in the next year, we are still passing the current route condition.
In the further course on Galgenbergweg and at the entrance to Gleidingen, construction work will soon begin and two new elevated platforms will be built.
The route leads through Gleidingen in the best streetcar feeling in the middle of the street through the village. Behind Gleidingen is also the border of the Hanover region and the Hildesheim district.
An overland section follows, which can be driven at 70 km / h. Almost unique in the Hanover tram network.
Through Heisede we finally reach Sarstedt. The Gleidingen - Sarstedt section is always under debate, as the Hildesheim district is reluctant to contribute to the cost of maintaining the route.
After a good 30 minutes driving time, the end point Sarstedt is reached.
The camera was attached to the driver's stand with a suction cup tripod before the trip and was not operated while driving
