When I was collecting, I purchased a Waffen SS crusher cap from Mr. Weitze. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a well made reproduction. I had no issues in returning the cap and my money was refunded immediately. This shows that even long time sellers can sometimes be fooled. His customer service is outstanding, and I would not hesitate to buy from him again.

Good evening ! I was wondering if I could offer something from my collection to Mr. Weitz, or better yet, offer these items for auction. These are mostly daggers. SS and the like. What do you think? What kind of person is he? Is it OK?

What are your experiences with shipping? I live in New Orleans Louisiana USA, I was very intrigued by some of the swords and long arms in his auctions. If you all have any answers or recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it.

@@samparkerSAMwell usually speaking from europe to us and vise versa the shipping is expensive especially for a sword or long arms cant speak for weitze but I beleive shipping could be from 30$ to maybe even 100$ it really depends what you order but even small items cost. maybe contact mr helmut about it.

@@rocco74superhuman45 Why dont you sell it to the collector directly via WRF or WAF instead of honest Helmut taking his 50% cut.

I found the binoculars, especially as they represented the two major 20th century manufacturers of German optics, Karl Zeiss, Jena and Ernst Leitz, Wetzlar, to be most fascinating, as I used to be a big collector (and trader) of 'vintage' cameras, especially Zeiss Ikon and Leica. Both of these companies produced cameras for the Third Reich, and especially the 35mm Leica cameras were historically very important as it is estimated that as much as 75% of all 20th century famous historical photography were made with Leica 35mm cameras!
So my question is: do you ever come across any of these Zeiss or Leica WWII military cameras, that would be found often in a grey (or feldgrau) paint finish, with "Luftwaffen Eigentum" or "Heer" or "K" stamped into the 'leather/vulcanite' body covering or engraved on the nameplate? Back in my collecting days (1980s-90s) there were already a great many fakes, mostly coming out from Russia (then USSR), but often even made on real cameras from the period and just with the markings and paint added spuriously.

My Father was in a US Army combat engineer battalion in the Eto. He brought back a pair of Zeiss made artillery binoculars. As a child I threw them a roof and they broke in half. They also could not be repaired because of the material they were made of. And yes, I did catch hell for doing that.

What we see here is about the higest clas of items available in the market, altough there are a few exceptions.
There are some items worth in the 100k range or even millions of Dollars.

My father was born in Chemnitz. When the Wall came down, he and his brother's regained ownership of his father's apartment building. At the end of the war, his brothers and him were looting German textile factories that made items for the Kreigsmarine as well as picking up helmets and other items. My father made several trips back and forth to Germany and every time he came home it was like Christmas.

Great quality items but for the collectors who have a lot of expendable money. I like the dealers who sell a little something for everybody, even lower end things to allow younger collectors to get into the hobby, as well as novice collectors the ability to afford average levels items.

Hopefully Helmuth Weitze will hand over all these items to a German war museum when he going further. You cannot bring them were we all end up, mbut leave them for the museums where they belong. Tnak’s for a great video.. Vielen dank.
