I loved this movie so much! this film brings reflections that touch our souls and our hearts. with sensitivity, we can capture every detail of the richness of this work. This movie has joined my list of my favorites. The colors, the bittersweet humor, the scenes that also convey the characters' emotional state. The mourning camouflaged in the man who lost his lover was one of the observations that most touched me. Really this movie was an amazing job!
Hey, just curious, what does Mint Volcano mean to you guys? I love the name, but can only find mentos and coke when I google it lol. Also those bobble heads! Hahahahaha.
We were looking for names for our film collective and were using a word randomizer, when the words "Mint Volcano" came up we liked it because it was kind of like a strange way to describe Taiwan, which is a green island created by volcanos -- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatun_Volcano_Group
I agree that the mother is more upset about the cheating than the money. If we watched the movie and we’ve never been in Taiwan I think the mother seems to be exaggerated and over acted, however I think it’s an accurate portrait of Taiwanese aunties. There is one scene when the lover finally perform his play where I think is definitely trying too hard to pull emotions and reactions from the audience. WTF happened with your video and the big heads?
Correct me if I missed something but I don’t think she was cheated on and that’s the reason he kept saying I didn’t steal anyone. The way the movie kinda set the time line through the wind chime flash back is that 17 years ago he met both and maybe started to date both at the same time but chose the wife due to wanting to be normal and when I guess he found out he had cancer decided to be true to himself and who he really loved? Yes? No?? Idk lol

Hahaha, our video cut out because our SD card was full and we lost picture so I had to put that in to cover the last few minutes of audio
