I was literally just saying that in another comment above. I have no idea if that's to mean he's old, or that he's not "really Klingon" any more, as he's working with the Romulans?
Considering he's on the Enterprise at the time, he may have been limited to what the replicator can make.

There's something very comforting being able to sit down in private, to a very well prepared meal with everything accounted for (in terms of the food) and no financial cost. No wonder the Ambassador was content - its positively luxurious in its own way!
It does look delicious, in its own way. Somewhat like seafood.

now that you mention it, is it possible Geordi's visor can help him see through the door? 🤔🧐 more likely he's just used to waving at other klingons rather than being on a federation ship
@@tjwparso I thought about the visor but it still provided a funny visual since we didn't know who was on the other side of the door until it opened (could have been Riker) and Geordi didn't actually open the door until he spoke up anyway

LaForge is a mad fan of "Kriosian Independence". Has all the posters of the rebel leaders on the wall in his quarters. Bring up the topic of "Kriosian Independence" within ear shot of LaForge, he'll soon tell you all about what's goin' on.
I asked him about it, and he encouraged me to read up on Kriosian independence. He even let me borrow this seven-volume set on the subject. Each book was color-coded, including violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red... a veritable rainbow of reading material.
He invited me to a meeting of 'Friends of Kriosia'. It was pretty innocent stuff. We started out talking and I read some pamphlets he had given me. There was nice buffet and we ended up firing off a few Phaser rifles at the range. Mine was firing oddly with an increased energy output, but he told me it was fine and we parted after a glass of blue ale of some description.

I always interpreted Geordi repeatedly stating his horrible alibi, and working so efficiently to work through everything as a cry of help, trying to be caught as much as possible before the romulan conditioning kicked in ahain

HOW many episodes do they do a computer inquiry of: 'Computer: Locate so and so'?
All of them.
It's very strange that they felt the need to write in several lines where characters ask if the possible suspects have alibis, write several more lines that clearly state that Geordi does not have an alibi, and have absolutely nobody ever acknowledge that fact.
It's almost as if these were written specifically for the audience, which still doesn't make sense considering the way the episode is framed, the audience already knows the culprit is Geordi. It'd be understandable for this to be a case of the accused being a trusted friend of those involved in the investigation and thus his lack of an alibi is ignored, but the fact that the writers keep bringing it up without having anyone so much as acknowledge it is extremely strange and overall just makes everyone involved seem almost comedically incompetent.

So, in Undiscovered COuntry, the Klingons had NO IDEA how to use napkins....SO they watched the humans and did it...plced them on there laps....and about 100 years later, its became a thing.... ......Shit, the fact I know this, and TYPED IT....lord help me, I think Im 40% Trekkie

Forget about the gloves, why is he using a fork? As I recall, Klingons aren't too big on utensils...

old Trek makeup trick. When the character is already made up from the neck up, either hide their hands or make them wear gloves to avoid having to make up their hands as well. The Ambassador already has huge ridges and fake hair so to save the actor they told him to wear gloves.
From a story standpoint he likely doesn't want any trace of his involvement anywhere. Not sure if Klingons have fingerprints, but that would help. Perhaps his E band transmitter is in the gloves?

And this episode was well after the Duras family had been introduced. Malicious actors everywhere in the Klingon power structure. Goes to show that the Klingon Empire had already been on its way down for a long time.
Not to play down Geordi's suffering, but all I really want to know is more about the Andorian waiter.

Always thought it was funny that the Communicators, which serve as "Universal Translators", don't interpret ALL Klingon words, ot select words of other races? How many times as Worf, or another member of the crew said something in Klingon, that wasn't translated?
Such a shame that they dont have advanced techniques, like fingerprints, or video surveillance.
