- Trying to keep up with Leg Arms, Hollywood decides to make some nice upgrades to the spray tender! Stretching the deck 4ft and plumbing in a streamlined 3 inch system will increase efficiency and capacity. $700 in hose, fittings, and iron can go a long way if it means an excellent spray tender!

You should put some remote batt terminals mounted on the bumper of the Fummins. Would be nice for constantly jumpstarting stuff.
Or buy that booster pack he's been talking about for ever.
Yep they have those now.
There ya go. I like it!!!
Old welding leads with the quick connect ends work great.
I have a plug from an electric forklift mounted on the front bumper and just inside the box on my F150. Added a second battery, upgraded the alternator, and on the other end of the plugs, I have a 30' and a 15' set leads with clamps on 00 welding cable. They never get stiff and will carry any amperage I want to push through it. Makes it nice when you can pull into someone's driveway behind their vehicle, run the cables up and jump-start them.
When you reorder those decals make sure to look for "cast" vinyl. Even if it says "automotive grade" that can mean several things. You specifically want cast vinyl (not calendared). Cast vinyl is made specifically for long-term, outdoor use. It is also highly conformable.
Forget the decals. Paint the stripes on
Does the go faster stripes give it more horse power
Expensive but worth it
No electrical tape is better
Right? The dude who did the paint should be able to pinstripe that in an hour or two.
this year was the first year i threw a little copper sulfate into my tanks to prevent that scummy algae from forming. you might want to try it out. I'm happy i don't have to clean tanks this spring.....
We used copper sulfate all the time and it worked great and kept the screens from plugging up all the time.
Had the same problem - dead modem for no reason. Had been going though a modem every other year. Thought the modem was getting a power 'surge' or 'loss'. So fixed it by putting a small power 'ups' on it. Been working fine since using one. So far this modem has lasted 3 years. Could have been living at the 'end of the line' of the power system. Glad I had added the APC 'ups' to the system. Take care 'Spin'
Welding with the Welker boys!! Great vid guys thanks for doing what ya do! We enjoy your vids over on the Stoney Ridge Farm!
Thanks man 👍. So good to meet you in San Antonio. Blessings.
Spring has always been my favorite time of year. Everything coming back to life. The joy of knowing you and the livestock/ animals survived another winter....
Where there's a Welker, there's a way.
Awesome job Nick
Guys should look at finding a tanker trailer. We ended up getting a 8000 gallon tanker for our spraying. Added a platform on the back for the two mixer tanks for chemical. Only problem is no place for the shuttles. We just have them on a pickup. The other plus side of having that tanker is we take it to fires when theres one goin on in the neighborhood to fill up other guys fire outfits.
This is the "Confined Space" episode.
Not much longer... Hopefully!
I have that same heater. If you look on the thermostat, there's a snow flake just below the low end of the dial - that makes it turn on only when it gets below freezing and will keep the temperature just above instead of trying to heat things to 80°
Thought you should know.
Take care all of ya.
I hope whatever your getting for the farm is a handled battery booster pack. I've only seen around 20 episodes as I just discovered your channel but it looks like it'd be one of the most valuable tools on the farm. Not to mention cheap especially for the hours it'll save you walking back and forth. Really like the channel guys, keep up the good work.
When you are watching older videos and a new just upload😍
😁
Recently I’ve been going back and watching old videos I haven’t watched yet
It never ceases to amaze me what you all can do on your farm. I farm in mid Mo and I love seeing how things are done in other states.
You should get a winch wire quick disconnect and mount it in the grill of the fummins and of course connect the other side to a jumper cable. Make it a hell of a lot easier for jumping vehicles lol
Great video Nick
Hey Nick, I would recommend one of the last videos of Cole the Cornstar for your spraying trailer. They have quite an awesome setup now.
*Cornstar
@@cilliangalvin8646 sorry, that for real was autocorrection😉
I posted the same thing. I wish I would have scrolled down and your comment first.
Was literally going to recommend the same thing
Cole needs their trailer mounted ladder 😂🤣
Another great video... definitely reminds me of my days on the farm! Guess that's what has had me hooked to this channel for years, nostalgia! Thanks for all the work y'all put into the videos to provide us with great entertainment. God bless..
Love seeing the old Honda three wheeler in the background in the wood shop there 👍
Me too!
@@WelkerFarms would love to see if in action in one of the videos
I love this channel and you all but I really love Montana . I’ve been hunting up There for 25 yrs . I have really good friends actually the best people I know they have a 🍒/ 🍏 farm/orchard in Polson . Love that state Also have friends in Townsend , Butte , Missoula and Whitehall beautiful state and the nicest people I’ve ever met . Wish my wife could handle the cold I’d love to live there in a heartbeat I would go ! Great channel guys keep it going thank you for sharing your lives !
The places you mentioned are awesome country. My wife is from 10 miles south of Polson.
Oh nice we Hunt in the Southwest Outta Dillon MT. Up in the Snowcrest Range and the Blacktail . I really love it up there , I live 50 miles south of Los Angeles in Newport Beach ca. I have a lil slice of country living . We live in an equestrian Neighborhood and I have a Tractor business taking care of the horse arena footing and I also do all sorts of Tractor Work Right now is the start of my busy season brush cutting like a mad man here we can’t have any wild brush on land or vacant lots etc due to brush fires so I clear it all this year is gonna be great lots of rain means lots Of brush green gold I say lol ! Anyways great channel keep
Up the great work!!
Listen guys, I just lost my job recently and watching your videos has seriously gotten me through some rough times. I am a long time subscriber and watch every video that's posted. Keep up the amazing job! God bless you and your families. Cheers my friends.
Sorry to hear that Brad. Praying new opportunity will open for you when government gives back our rights and freedom
Love the Ubiquiti pumphouse setup! I did a couple Ubiquiti Wifi installations at our place last year and it's solid reliable tech.
Cool 😎 there needs to be at least one high tech person per farm
Wow you guys are strong!! Just two of you pushed that 7000 lbs tank into place! Amazing!!!!!
Don't be ashamed of the walk of shame. In West Virginia every time someone needs a jump it means that someone has to buy new jumper cables, because of copper thieves. Never seems to fail. Be thankful for that beautiful set of jumper cables you have and are able to use more than once.
My guess on the two items being picked up. A pair of quads. I do not think we've seen the farm quad in a video recently, and I suspect that having two of them might be a good idea with all the adults on the farm who need to go places during planting season where normal vehicles just won't cut it.
You look like an excited little boy
Great job Nick 😎😎😎👍👍👍
You guys never fail to impress me with the mechanical work on your vehicles and harvesting/planting/spraying.kepp it up
Thank you!!
Nicely done! 👍🏼💪
Awesome tender unit.
Thanks!
Hey Nick....
NICE!!!!!
Nick look into plugging an air line into the load out hose that way you can blow it empty, one of the best things we've done to all of our spray trailers where I work. Though if you do make sure to put a check valve in so its one way to blow out the hose and no risk of backfeeding water or fertilizer into the air system
Hey Nick!!! Nice job👍👌. Retooling' things on the farm when circumstances change is a good thing...making yourself more efficient by re-routing the plumbing on your water trailer makes sense to me. Changing with the times is a good thing...a nice thing! Nice job Nick...Thanks for sharing your project with us...take care Nick!
Oh! I think that you and your wife are going to buy a couple of jet skis to use on Flathead Lake this summer. Am I right?? 😎
There is about 6 other youtubers that I follow that have gotten side by sides/UTVs so it's not a guess. They all go for the double seat 4 door that can go into a longer bed. Not sure what it is about this year but it seems like everyone has to have one. The year of the UTV.
I don't get on the comments often, but i watch all the videos of Welker Farms. Ya'll stay safe, and i look foward to more videos.
Thanks Eddie. Glad to have you with us. Blessings
Replace that 6 plug strip with a Wattbox power strip. It is networkable and you can login with our mobile device and turn outlets on and off. Even better is the ability to setup a workflow on the unit that can ping an IP like 8.8.8.8 and if it can’t be reached it will power cycle an outlet.
I've had really good luck on previous generation used Cisco equipment dealing with the cold and exposure. They just work.
I saw the can am defender in the background!
This fall have the Big Bud pin striped by a pro. It deserves the full treatment. I am guessing that you are bringing home a cool UTV. Can't wait to see. Love the show. I always learn a lot.
U can get some pin striping tape then lay some clear over it to lock them on there
Nice job Nick
Just a thought, as much as you need to jump things with that truck, perhaps you could fabricate and wire up some external posts on the brush guard of the truck. That would allow you to jump without opening the hood.
Even without fabbing them up I'm thinking external jumper kits probably aren't that expensive. Actually just looking at Amazon you can get a TOPDC brand one with a 25ft jumper cable for $65. Seems like 25ft might be a bit overkill on the length but if it means putting the jump truck in mud or on dry land than the 25ft is worth it.
New quads, great work again Nic
More to come!
Nick, it seemed a little sketchy climbing down that ladder alone into a small pit out at the edge of your property. It's probably next to impossible for CO, CO2 or anything else harmful to be there but it's a good idea to set up a *remote* rescue buddy first.
Phone home first and tell, your wife say, exactly what you are about to do and that if you fail to call again within another three minutes (or whatever) to immediately send the local EMT truck.
It's simple and it could save your neck in similar situations where you don't have on site back-up.
Keep safe and stay healthy, all.👍
Welters. You folks jump your trucks so often you should think about getting your truck set up with plug in jumper cables like the tow trucks. Your local Napa or parts store you have them.
I can't wait to see that trailer full of water and going down the road. Good job on what you built. Have you considered leaving the tank over the axles and what you fabricated on the back for something else, like pumps or something else. Good job Hollywood.
He did but the best optimum room is around the induction meter systems
Winter project, raid boneyard build new sprayer tender trailer.
Hollywood I must say your stunt double is doing a great job.
NICE👍
You should mount a quick connector for a winch in the bumper of the fummins. Then put the other quick connect end on the jumper cables.
Saves having to go under the hood each time
I like your pump house colocation space. If you have pingable equipment in the pump house, you can probably add a monitored power strip and powercycle your modem remotely for not a ton of money. Using the UBNT gear is a good idea. It's cheap, easy, AND robust..
Leg Arms would be proud!! You done good Nick!!
At 18:30 why not turn the front big tank slightly so the outlet is facing more to the back, that would bring the T-coupling in onto the deck instead of hanging on the side.
Love the work you are doing, really inspiring :)
Love the sprayer trailer set up
At 19:30 at the reveal of complete hose setup was when I said NICE, then Leg Arms walks right past :(
Used 3M Automotive Pin Stripes for a custom white board, I used nasty chemicals to clean it and that stuff never faded, ripped off or anything, stuff was amazing.
Great video! Thanks for taking your time to create great video’s. Stay safe and we’re ready to see some planting!
Thank you! Will do!
Like your cap at the end of video
Your sound is awesome like it
So much room for activities on the trailer!!
Nick, you should check out Cole the cornstars tender.....nice set up.
I would say a sandrail. And a VW trike. Which I brought yesterday evening.
If you look at the PSU!! On ubiquti and / switch .. is 12v
Take 2x12v batteri 24v + chardgers and a Buck PSU from 30v to12v Then you are online even with poower out
I love watching his videos
You do a great job
Hi Nick. I set my water trailer up like that and soon realized that the hoses get gravel rash when they hang over the edge of the trailer. It didn't take too long to wind up with a leak. You might want to add something to protect the bottom edge of the hoses and fittings.
I try and reboot my system once a week. I use Napa batteries on the farm simply the best.
Side by sides is my guess. Looking forward to seeing the water trailer finished and am envious of your shop!
Love y'alls Channel. Keep up the good work and be SAFE out there.
Nashville Towing & Recovery
(NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE)
Toys = a couple of Case side by sides. =)
I love how you guys use a machinery step deck trailer for your spray trailer; oh what we wouldn't give to have a machinery step deck on our farm and youtube channel in the first place
I live an hour outside my state capital and don't have fiber, meanwhile the Welkers live outside a small town in MT and have have fiber to the home! Lucky folks. Seriously though, technology is incredible.
Nice.
You should check out the Audew jump starter. Im not promoting. I bought one for our farm. It works awesome. Compact,I started a JD 8100, a case 1340 weather and 2 pickups without batteries .
Swather, not weather
Terry, absolutely right! I was just gonna tell these boys about the Cornstars spray trailer! Hmmm great minds think alike...lol
hey nick i am working on recreating portions of your farm for the build the earth 1-1 scale project and i might need some dimensions of buildings
I would love to see that when you finish it!
Nice job nick
Love you guys but buy some batterries and pull them in the winter and put them on trickle charge all hooked in parallel. On charger for all. No more jumping.
looks like someone watched Cole the corn star. Their trailer is really nice!
Nick, NICE WORK BRO!
Thanks!
Back in the day, 1990, there was a two step process for applying pinstripe. The product was called Pro-Bond. A cleaner and a sticking compound. See if that's still a possibility.
you need to look at the new ladder Corn Star got for there flat bed.... very portable and easy to move anywhere on a trailer....
I always noticed that the batteries on all these trucks that are dead, are always so dirty on the top of them that they could be causing a draw. keeping the tops of batteries clean is one way to stop the voltage drain.
Have you checked out Cole the Cornstars exact mixing set up for his spray trailer? Looks pretty sweet.
It does
3 m is the best pinstripe tape make sure it's clean and it may have a clear exterior that needs to be removed
Btw they make little plugin adapters that you plug the wireless router into that it connects the wifi and when it detects that the wifi goes down it will power cycle the router. I got some off Amazon.
Nice job on the trailer. I would pull all the batteries over winter and keep them in the shop on a trickle charger.
You should reboot the router at least once a month. That refreshes the memory and dumps the cache.
But do it when everyone is sound asleep!
Two 100 watt old style light bulbs will do the job and cost far less.
Cover your decals with clear plastic and they won't come off. I had this done on my car, and no more problems.
If you want to go all out, put 5 coats of ceramic over everything...
We cut hay but i already seen some row cropers planting in Kentucky
NICE!!!!
NICE fab, Nick
Okay. You're in Great Falls, Northwest Bypass, hmmm. What oh what could it be. It's needing the gooseneck, sooo. Oh boy, Oh boy I can't wait!!!!
Stay Tuned!!!!
Hey Nick aren't you worried about all that wait on back of that trailer. I think it's going to be a new side by side. I enjoy your you tube channel.
Hmm new "toys" and multiple and fast... I am gonna say new ATVs/UTVs.
im thinking side by sides maybe can am maverick x3 turbo?
@MinerGate fair point perhaps a side x side then?
@@trentlewis1473 Case makes a Side by Side. Likely that since they are sponsored by Case afterall?
@@trevorashbaugh4368 The utv "Scout"? I don't think they're made by JIC and I think they're more of a golfcart than IH Scout

NICK CLEAN THE TANK !!! LOL
Nice!😉👍🏻
I just finished watching Zack of Minnesota. You know the one with all thos Green Machines. He was the first one to use the BIG Yankem Rope. I want to see someone brake the BIG Yankem Rope or try. Lol ! Biggest tractor in the world? Great videos. Keep them coming. Quarantine is not so bad when you're a farmer.
Might happen or at least a good all farm try.
Nice job Nick. 👍🙂😄
I’ve installed a few Ubiquiti nanobeams here at work in Texas . They work pretty good as long as it’s flat!
Nick silicone goes on with first install not after it leaks. S by S or golf carts fun for all😀😀😀!!!!
Nice little improvement.
Hard to get really excited the Cornstars really went all out on their trailer earlier this week.
Sorry welkers, your big buds are still cooler then their tractors. You win the combine race too.
Gotta give the trailer medal to the cornstars this year, sorry 😐
Haha that's okay. Ours was more of a cheap upgrade, under $700. I'm betting that unite they have is $15k or more. We'll get there someday!
Welker Farms Inc I found you guys first you have my undying loyalty
The cornstars are just something fun on the side ?
Welker Farms Inc I heard depending on the set up that system can run north of 40k 😳
@@JL-yl8gd haha don't worry about it, Cole is a good guy! Glad you guys support him too! We are all happy for where RUclips has taken us!
