It depends they are all Tuned Up Custom Rods and since you asked before my next video came out I will give you a heads up as you can now use CODE: DWS10 for 10% off of all orders on their website I have linked in the description! If you want the same rods I was using in this video one is a 36in Bullwhip one is a 34in Precision and one is a 36in Commander! But remember they are custom to what you want so make them yours!
Ice fishing videos amaze me at how many fish people actually catch. I live on a 32000 acre lake in NC and the crappie, perch and bass have gotten serious lockjaw. When our water temps get below 45 fishing definitely becomes fishing and not catching. You can watch crappie on livescope look at the bait but nothing eats it. They just swim away.
Just subbed, Awesome day on the ice. I see you use a Gopro 7 as your main camera. Try this setup with it: GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter for Hero7/6/5 w/H&A Mic, Ulanzi V2 Pro Vlog Set Case Audio will be so much better. If your camera is facing forward and you are behind the camera, turn the mic towards you, Vlog style, have the mic face you. Works great on the 7 black.
I drill two holes all the time in my shelter, sometimes outside too. In areas with current it's generally a necessity to do this just so you can read your jig. The other advantage is you don't have to pull your transducer out every time!
Those were some nice crappie! What I was just as impressed with was catching smallmouth and largemouth in the same holes as well. That looked like a ton of fun!
Small mouth and crappie like that in the same hole! Mark that on the gps! Thats a true honey hole man. One thing ive found out that if your catch a small mouth through the ice ive always had good luck!
right on lad! :) Nothing wrong with keeping a limit from time to time when they are plentiful, did the same on the weekend! Interested in seeing the pickling recipe.
@@DWSOutdoors when I looked up those fishing reels some of them were rated 6lb some of them were rated 20 pounds must be the size of line they can hold up to? Not sure but thank you. Most of the ones I was looking for were sold out anyway at my local stores going to have to go elsewhere online
Yeah it normally gives you a range when you choose the reel size! I run all 1000s on my jigging rods except my commander that has a 2500 on it this year and I normally run 4lb P-Line Floroclear on them all but the commander with the 2500 has 6lb if that helps?
Congrats on the day. You worked hard for those. Like the hole setup for the flasher. May have to steal that. Nice to be able to sit inside and still do well.
You say 12's are perfect eaters which I agree. Some say 10" are perfect eaters and advocate to release the 12's because 12's are too big to eat. I say stfu and keep whatever you like as long as you are legally doing it...
I change my size based on the body of water I am fishing and try to only keep the average sized fish letting go all "Bigger" fish for that body of water. Big fish make other BIG fish its how it works lol I fished a lake earlier this season where I kept 5 9-11in fish because that was what I caught 1000s of.
@@DWSOutdoors I understand. I just can't stand when others try to push thier agenda to the masses. Mind your own business or congratulate someone on thier awesome catch and walk away. No need to be negative about someone keeping thier fair share of a fish limit whether it be 13"+ of crappies or 5" to 6" of gills.
Yeah I have no agenda I just like catching big fish so I don't take them out of the system lol You don't have to be a scientist to know they are gone once you remove them!
I don't think I'd get that lucky if I tried with gettin picking that crappie up just floating at the hole!! That was pretty cool an by the way will you be ice fishing Delavan this winter for Crappie?
Not trying to brag but I catch crappie on a bare tungsten every time i go out. Once i figured out how dumb they are I was like hmmmm why waste $ on waxies. 😄

That was awesome, keep up the great videos!! Thanks!
Man that’s crazy what lake is this
Where'd u get those tips ups that hold a pole
They are IFishPro's and I have them listed in the description below
Years ago I'd use tip downs for pan fish they actually work pretty good don't see anyone use them anymore
Lots of people still out there chasing tip downs! Those things are crappie catchers!
What kind of rod you used to catch crappies? Looks very slick

nice video! love those feeding windows when they open up!
Also known as First and Last Ice lol I am happiest during those times!
Nonstop action is a good problem to have!
I try to develop that problem regularly lol

Thanks for the tip!
whenever the fish are this aggressive you have to take it for granted. Had the same thing happen this summer, we caught over 45 crappies. Great job

Great shows! Love your raw honesty! It's refreshing in these times. Had a day with perch biting a bare hook in Michigan this week.

How come you are not using the vultures on the ifish pros?
Wasn't planning on using the Ifishpros that day
That ice looks pretty thin. How many inches was it?
Plenty 😂
Only reason I'm asking is cuz I'm from ND and we have over a foot of ice already. That ice looked about 5-6
I didn't measure it but I know it was more than 8

What spinreal was it that had the double drag system for ifish use you told us about?
Okuma ABF-1000

Love the slo-mo release. Thanks for releasing those hogs.
Always!
A great catch worth cleaning. Pickling sounds good show us how to.
Your kleats are scaring everything off. Way too noisy on the ice.
Gonnq me a good one when you set the trip and then watch it go off a millisecond later!
