I'm in NJ zone 7 and I'm watching learning. For cold waves maybe frost cloth might help? I like idea of putting the tropical plants in bathroom. Would growing chayote on a wheeled garden bed work? Since it's a key ingredient for the beloved Filipino chicken soup Tinola ng Manok I'm in rapt attention.
Yes, frost cloth covering would help duirng a cold snap, but won't protect the plantnfrom extended freezing temperature. A heated greenhouse would help.
Ganda chayote mo 😂 Hey Maria america burn here just want to say hi and thanks for your videos. Question when your final harvest is complete and all the leaves die do you take everything down and compost it or do you leave it on the trellis? Thxs again , sa-la-mat
