Enclosing the space above the cabinets gave the kitchen a more custom look and it turned out really nice. The abundance of knowledge that you provide is so welcomed and thank you for that.

Good morning Nadia! I totally agree with you. My home has never meant to be my forever home. However there are a few improvements/ updates I've implemented. And I have a few more that I want to do in the near future. Everything is looking really good Nadia. I prefer the video breakdowns and process they way you're doing it. I can totally relate. Its definitely a process. I'm very intentional about what comes into my home. You're son is adorable.
They just clingy b/c your an a-ma-zing mom!!! I have always homeschooled all my kiddos so they hug on me A LOT!!! I welcome all of it!!! I have considered closing above my cabinets and after watching this (and seeing them on IG Live) I was like...., “Honey....?” My husband just 👀 like, “What now!!” 😂🤣😂🤣

Hi Nadia, one question I would love for you to explore in your next builder video is the selection of the countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. Your countertops look very custom, because I haven’t seen something that luxurious as a builder option (are they fantasy marble?). Can you also discuss your opinion on marble, quartz, or granite countertops?

Nadia.. I so appreciate this video and it was right on time! I should be closing on my new home (thank the Lord!) around Thanksgiving & our kitchens are very similar. I will have the same open space above my kitchen cabinets & to have the builder put the 42 inch cabinets in was almost a 11k upgrade 😕 sooo I passed on that. You have given me yet another great idea to level up my home.. so thanks again!!

I like seeing the process and learning that it is ok to take it slow. My home was built last year and it was a spec model which means I had no say so in any of the colors or finishes. It was a good option cause it was cheaper but when I realized I wanted the window in the unfinished basement on a different side, I couldn’t have it changed. I would live to know the criteria you look for when working with contractors? I will need the basement finished as an in-law suite for my brother cause I need my guest room back.

OMG...I didn't think about Covid being the reason. I've always been close with my girls but they do seem to text or call even more now. Enclosing the spaces made a big difference. Definitely looks custom. The way you are doing things makes more sense financially.
