    Hi! I found your page and super like your technique and results! If by chance you see this comment can you tell me something… is the difference in marveling vs hydro dipping the thickness of the solution you start with? What would you recommend for sealing a piece- like a top coat?

      Hydro dipping is just a fancy way of saying that it’s been dipped in water solution. I have used clear spray, sealant and I’ve also used watered down PVA glue or clear varnish.

      @@JamesMouland Thank You very much!!!! Iv been asked to do a piece that I’m confident in doing only because I know I’ll make it happen but Iv never hydro dipped or marbled before! 🤦‍♀️🤞😂- I’m doing my homework!

      @@justmemandalee most 3D objects will need treating with alum first..good luck!

      @@JamesMouland THANK YOU VERY MUCH- you have been helpful, I appreciate you! I’m seeing the spray paint technique (vivid colors) with a spray primer as well- it looks like it could be the way to go for a larger item (leg brace) do you have any suggestion s either way???

      @@justmemandalee i've not done anything metal or plastic, the biggest thing i did was a ceramic cast of a torso and becuase ceramic is porous it was very easy to bind the paint. Before you dip the main item make sure you practise on similar material
