  • The RC F is one of sportiest cars from Lexus in a long time. Key elements like a big motor and sharp styling make the RC F an interesting entry in the Luxury Sport Coupe class. The RC F may not be the fastest in the class when compared with cars like the BMW M4 or the Cadillac ATS-V, but it is a great middle of the road choice. The Lexus not only offers style and looks; but it offers comfort as well. The RC F is much more Grand Tourer than Sports Car. Base MSRP pricing starts at $64,165.
    Up front is the aggressive Lexus Spindle Grill and unique daytime running lights. Moving down the side of the RC F you will notice the great looking 19-inch rims and fender vents. Out back sits an integrated spoiler and quad exhaust tips which are a staple of Lexus F series vehicles.
    Under the hood is a 5.0 liter engine making 467 horsepower and 389 lb-ft. of torque. Power is put down to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy checks in at 16 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway.

    Now this is how you review a car, you provide pros and cons without overhype or slandering the vehicle. Very logical way of reviewing cars. Keep up the great work.

    Buy this car if you plan on keeping it for 5-10 years+. Your BMW, Cadi and Mercedes will all have problems and will ALL lose much more of their value. Lexus customers generally put resale value and reliability high on their list.

    Great review from one of the few journalists who actually understand the point and purpose of the RC F. After all, to afford such cars, how many days of the year do you spend on a race track?

  • @GarthLovesTRAVEL
    @GarthLovesTRAVEL 7 лет назад +33

    Most people like me that would spend that money on a Lexus most likely already had BMW's or Mercedes and are looking for something that's close to those specs but most of all reliable and I think that's what the RCF offers.

    I just tested the Kia Stinger today. I would believe it to be a formidable opponent to this car. It's sporty, it's powerful, comfortable and quiet. The Kia reliability is in the higher midfield, what is good, but you have this damn good 7 years of warranty, that the Lexus doesn't have.
    It's sad that the Lexus isn't proposed in a 3.5L V6 version on many maket (and mine), this engine would have been perfect for this car. The 200t lacks power when it comes to sporty driving.

    • @rellykz2175
      @rellykz2175 5 лет назад

      There's an RC350 and there's an AWD option, 3.5L V6. You know what you're talking about? The RCF is a 5.0L V8.

    This car is like a big Audi TT- misunderstood. It's about style, sound, and being both comfortable and sporty. Lexus made the LFA- if they want to compete with the M4 they definitely can do that.

      Plus you can remove the hood vent underside plastic for even better cooling on track days. That’s what I do when I pound on my RC F all day long at the track and the car has no issue. Part of the reason I bought it was for the reliability.

    He is wrong about one thing though, on the track "not a drag race" this car will definitely beat the cadillac and the m4 or tie it. It is actually very compliant when it comes to cornering and only lost to the m4 which cost 10,000$ more by .03 sec in a race, stiffening the suspension and slight mods costing under 10, 000$ will definitely put it ahead.

    • @websniper666
      @websniper666 6 лет назад

      idk, lexus is difficult to mod cause of the ecu & the m3 /4 is a lot more responsive to mods , yielding higher gains. A rcf would need major work to keep up with a lightly modded m3/4. I'd keep the rc f stock, or get a m4 if i wanted to mod a car for speed.
