I love these hills. People often describe them as "boring", but in winter they are magical. I snowshoed my way to Tolmont and Tom Bhuide a few weeks before the first lockdown, with a couple of friends. It was tough, but a brilliant day, with so many hares in their white winter coats.
Hey Murray. It was great to meet you in person at Ellie Chain Walk today. Didn't want to stop you for too long. Just wanna let you know that we follow your channel and used many of your videos as a guide to find some of the spectacular places in Scotland. Keep it up please. 👍👍👍
I was on my first freedom day two weeks ago on those very hills. Very spring like, but looking out to the higher Cairngorms I could see that winter was still hanging on.
Still winter high up as far as I can see from some recent posts - always a reminder to keep the ice axe and crampons on the bag just incase 👍 Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
What a magical walk...your descriptions of the snow cover and the crunchy sound of it as you made your way up...ah I wish that I could do that again...wonderful video Murry and thank you.
Just gets better and better !! The scenery is fantastic. Got to be prepared to hike in those conditions (which you are)... another great video..... looking forward to seeing more. 👍🤙

Stunning stuff , bet you enjoyed a wee toady when you got back !🥃
We don’t get a lot of snow where I am. Do snow shoes work for crossing muddy fields..? 😏
Absolutely - work a treat - just make sure the mud is soft and deep 🧐😉
Would there be any munro right now that is hikeable without having heavy snow?
A wig round a bald head brilliant
I wondered if anyone would mention my in depth description of the mountain ;) lol
