In this video, we're comparing the winner of the previous midrange showdown, the MVP Lizottl Hex vs a disc that use to be very near and dear to Simon Lizotte's heart and that is the Discmania Mind Bender! These two are very straight, point and shoot midranges. The MVP Lizottl Hex is new in the eclipse plastic making it a touch more stable than usual. This extra stability in the MVP Hex makes the comparison between it and the Discmania Mind Bender much closer than ever before! I have never thrown a Discmania Mind Bender up until this point, but I can say I see why Simon loved to throw it! This should be one heck of a battle!

I currently bag them both. The Hex being the most recent to the bag. The Mindbender is my absolute favorite disc for the high sweeping anhyzer shot that just keeps bending right. I'm trying to decide between the MD3 and the Hex. They seem to fly more similarly for me. Keep up the awesome content!

I've got the pre-Simon Hex and the Lizottl, plus my Uplink, so the straight and understable slots are well covered. I was thinking of going for the Mindbender, but then Simon went and did his thing 🙂
Ya sounds like you got all the midrange slots covered! I’ll be using the mind bender for my understable slot, the lizottl for my straight shots with a bit of turn, and the pathfinder for my dead straight mid
I have Simon's hex and a regular one and it's fun to compare both of them. The glow one is a little more stable, and I noticed the regular has a little more turn
Ya I reckon the glow plastic makes it a touch more stable which I like 💯

Mindbender has my vote for better hand & plastic feel, but both are amazing discs.
Ya I was really surprised how good the mind bender felt in the hand it really gives the lizottl a run for its money in that department
I have a pre-Simon Hex and a Mindbender. My Head has more turn and more fade, both being faithful to their numbers. My Mindbender is dead straight. I just aced with my Mindbender the other day and I honestly was expecting it to miss because I was expecting a hyser finish but it just glided straight into the chains. My Hex will flip up or turn a bit for me but has a hyser finish. I love both discs and get different flights.
They both really are great discs. And I think there’s room for both in a bag 💯
I bag both, I feel like the MindBender is a little slower than the Hex and will hold lines better at about 275ft. Hex has a nice finish to it and will hold lines fine with more power. I really appreciate the lack of fade with the MindBender as I play mostly heavily wooded golf, I know if I throw it flats it's going dead straight and landing basically flat.
Ya I’d say the mind bender is more glidey and more touchy than the lizottl. At least for me 😅
The discmania plastic does feel good. Got to give them that.
Man everything is so nice and green there. I am hoping to get a house in the southern Hemisphere to get away from the northern winters. It makes me happy to watch your videos and be reminded of all the green lol
Ya we’ve gotten a ton of rain out here in the past year so it’s been really green at the courses 😅 but the grass grows so dang quick 😂
Mind Bender has 6 glide so no surprise it goes a little further than the HEX. Also the Mindbender is 0 0 so probably more sensitive to how it is thrown.

I bag the mindbender and the lizottl. The mindbender is for understable turnovers and the lizottl is for straight shots that finish left.

I own a mindbender but don't wanna throw it because you can't buy them anymore, also own a Hex - great disc!

Why did you choose to straddle putt. It that easier on your arm?
I find I get a more consistent putt from the straddle and less misses left to right. And it’s a bit easier on my shoulder 😅
@@discgolfjustice I have been working on my straddle putt. It is great for inside 25 feet but outside of that I feel lost. I don't have power and my straddle jump putt isn't there yet.
I’m pretty bad at putting so I’m not one who should give much advice, but what’s been helping me is using my legs and focusing on my follow through 💯
well 50% of my bag was MVP. I don't think I used any discmania molds. I did use an enigma and a tactic for a while which I did like. Now though I have almost a full MVP bag. I still putt with PA3s though and I have a berg too.

@@discgolfjustice I know! Mostly just mystery boxes or random factory second discs. Almost my whole bag now are factory 2nds to help keep the cost down.

A hex is a hex it dosen.t matter if it Simon Lizottl it fly's straight, a lot of marketing BS going on here
