Can this machine do 20-22in tires. Seems like that is the way new car/truck rims are going. Right now I have stock 18 but lookkng for long term. Good video

Would you recommend this machine for a start-up used tire shop? I'm looking at options and this one is the cheapest I can find which seems to be well made.

Yes, if it's not in use all day every day. If your capacity is constant I'd get a coats or other name brand machine. I do anywhere from 2-10 tire a week, I it not daily. There are a few oddities in design and cheaper made components in the unit.

How does it work? Thinking of picking one up for small volume car and motorcycle tires

I am considering getting one of these for a shared shop where several friends work on our cars together.
One has older British cars with wire wheels and splined hubs so this looks like it could work for him too. Another has a motorcycle - you mentioned that you got those aftermarket adapters for ~ $150 for the set. Would you be able to share any details on where you bought those, maybe a web link ?
Thanks for the good video as it this machine is definitely on our list now. We are considering getting the combo with the balancing machine as well. Triumph is a little more expensive than some of the other brands out there, but it sounds like overall it is a good package. Most seem to be satisfied with the sturdiness of the equipment for low volume shops doing a dozen or fewer wheels a week and it seems to have fewer negative comments than the cheaper brands. Looks like a great unit for our relatively small volume use, though my guess is that once we have one others will find out about it and it will get used routinely;) Thanks again for the vid.

Hope it helps you. It has been a good machine for me although I've had a couple issues with it. I use this way more than I ever expected to when I got it. some weeks I might do a few tires. other times I'll do 20 -30 in a weekend. If I was running a commercial shop I'd look for a "brand name one" but these are good starter units for sure.
I purchased a balancer with mine and had to take the balancer back because it was damaged inside the crate. They swapped it out for me with a different one. Hope that helps! The balancer is more cheaply made and has some weird nuances when using. I mostly do trailer, equipment, and work trucks so the balancer is nice to have but not crucial for me. I only need to balance 1 out of 10 tires I do.
I have friends that are professional auto mechanics that are used to high end equipment. They use my equipment occasionally for some personal stuff and they're biggest complaint is some of the odd positioning for the pedals on the changer, and settings on the the balancer.
      I'd rate the tire changer a 7 and the balancer a 4.

@@notoriousJPG - Helps a lot, thanks for the follow up. We will probably do fewer tires than you do so volume wise this should fit really well with our needs.
We are going to order the combo. But I'd bet that like you, once word gets out that we have one we will end up doing more than we plan for friends, then their friends, and so on.
I've also heard the 550 model balancer can have issues. One guy noted that bolting it to a concrete floor and making sure it was exactly level helped improve the accuracy of his a lot so I'll try that route right off the bat.
Do you remember where you bought the motorcycle adapters for $150 ? They have them on Amazon for $200 that are specifically for this machine so if you can't find it we will probably just order those.
Again, thanks for the video and you reply!

@@davidroush1224 yea, I got them through directly from NAT. Where I bought the machine in Columbus Ohio. This was a few years back so prices may have changed some.
