For the love of- stay out of those caves. You've already got a ton of hearts and accessories, what else are you going to find in these little level 1 areas? Stay on the surface until you find stars or corruption man!

@thedarklordx That's exactly it though- he found the hermes boots twice. When he heard the guide saying the same thing he'd move on sure he'd seen all there was there. When he sees the same loot in dirt caves he should do the same thing. Stone caves, corruption, other stuff he's hasn't been through a lot of: these are worth stopping for. Dirt caves? Well at least not while he's hunting stars. Come on. At least wait until daytime. You can give up on the surface at dawn and THEN go explore caves

@Eksohcorg You need to equip an Obsidian Skull in your Accessories area. You craft it at a Furnace (Normal furnace) with 20 obsidian blocks. Hope that helps.

More importantly though tougher slimes show up when you go deeper so it makes sense that the loot would be better too, right? But even if dirt and stone are the same then that just means he's seen more of it so he really needs to go down to lava or do more corruption areas and bosses. Seems like there isn't even magic related stuff near the surface.

My point though is that if he's looking for "better stuff" in caves he has to go deeper, as that's where higher level things would be. If the game does little pockets of biome at shallow depths I hadn't seen any indication of that or heard any of the people playing say anything to that effect. But since you know, about what level are the things up high?
@Eksohcorg If you're talking about the Hellforge, you can't. You have to 'loot' it from the Hellworld. Which means, you need good gear, and possibly even the Molten Hamaxe. So, ja. Try to find a way into the Hellworld and ya should try to mine Hellstone Ore and Obsidian, to turn into Hellstone Bars in the Hellforge, then go home, make a Molten Hamaxe (will need a nice amount of Helstone Bars) then go back into the Hellworld and Hamaxe the shit out of that Hellforge. XD
i don't search for falling stars i just wait for a falling star to fall out of the sky around may house. doing so i have 2 mana crystals and a few shooting stars left

I think the probability of falling stars is probably set for all world sizes, so it is harder to find one in a large world than in a small one

yea you can craft ten gems (each diff gem makes diff color lightsaber) with some (20)meteorite to make a lightsaber (phaseblade)
I hope they eventually let you test out the multiplayer so we can get a taste of the lag and issues we can expect if we got the game. =)
