Fishing there in the 60's many years, caught many, watched people try to catch from the far side, and never caught much from there. Walk down from the dam and you should see some old mining areas where they actually did gold mining. Hopewell is one of the better places for camping and getting away from the city. I miss it, now living in Italy, only memories now keep me there. You are all lucky to have this wonderful place and state. Stay off the couch and go see all.

Exactly honest. I fished there so many times in the 60's and no one caught anything on the other side, and almost no one caught any from a boat or raft. Best place was where the fish and game dump in the fish.

Back in the 60's I would catch brook trout there. I bet they are all fished out now. The ones I caught were big , not stocked.

We didn't. They were back near the inlet in shallow water when we were there. The ones in the creek were about four-to-five inches.

what's the difference between the eggs? Such as the green, gold, and silver? Does green have more scent? Or is it that it's the same but with glitter?

    • @TeamPautzke

Good question. Green Label comes from silver salmon whereas Gold and Silver Label are from Chinook salmon. The Green is a smaller egg, but the scent is the same.
