- In this second part of our Atlantic crossing we leave Portugal and sail downwind to the Caribbean. The days are calm and peaceful (albeit rolling) and it looks like we will make it to Martinique in record time. That is, until we receive a mayday call and have to turn around to perform a rescue at sea.

This was three years ago. How life changes, congrats you two. Welcome back.
So good to see you posting again. I know this was from three years ago so I hope you're staying safe in thee trying times.
Thank you. These are tough times indeed. But we are staying well and trying to do what we can to stay safe. Hope you are as well!
So nice to see you guys again. Hope you are safe and healthy. Thanks for posting some content for everyone to enjoy.
I love following your adventures. Great to see you guys back!
Excited to see your upcoming adventures! Have a great trip Kat and Will!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing. Really miss your style of video along with your positive/adventurous attitude! 😊👍😍. Hope you guys are doing well. 👍⛵😊👍⛵😍⛵👍😊⛵👍😊
Thanks Bill! We are hoping to put out more content soon. We are doing well and staying inside and safe. Hope you are too!
Pleasant surprise to see you back and to see all the footage from the Tilly Mint rescue.
Good memories, hope you're both safe and well.
Great that you’ve posted 2 new videos! Hopefully more will be coming soon!
Oh my Goodness..good to see y'all again
wow back to Back episodes excellent!
So good to see a sign of life from you two! Hope you are doing well! Even in lock-down with all ports closed, living on a boat is good. My boat cost only 10.000 euros, a neighbor a few boats down payed 1500 for his. Any budget will do, although you will spend it all without a problem. You don't need a 700.000 euro catamaran. Life short, go simple, go cheap, go now :-) Well maybe wait until the thick of the corona has passed. Any boat's value has dropped really bad the last month.
we couldn't agree more! and as luck would have it, we bought a new boat in January. Not great timing... but we're hopeful that when the dust settles we'll be able to go out sailing again. Until then, we're sitting tight like everyone else and hoping to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe. Hope you are staying well and safe as well!
@@Mondaynever Don't know in your area, but boat prices went trough the roof last summer here in Holland. Hope you still have her and are doing well. Covid-19 seems to be a vitamin-D deficiency related issue. Look for a place with the sun higher then 45 degrees in the sky, or take your supplements and you'll be fine. Looking forward to some footage of the new boat.
Someone is using their enforced isolation productively. Thank you!
Glad your are on the water...Damn, I need the next episode now!!
Hope after all the virus stuff dies down, you start making videos again. Stay healthy and stay safe.
Cat, you’re a great video editor. Thanks for the video!
Solid again.
So great to see a few videos from you two. Hope you are well! ;-)
Missed you guys!
Yeah... Welcome back.
We miss you guys 💙 Hope you are well!
Welcome back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (& 1st)
Missed you guys. When all this madness is over I hope we'll see your new boat
Always wondered how you got to that rescue... nice to see The Rest of the story.... 👍🙂
Wonder that happen to these guys ??
Missed you.
Fantastic to see you both back on RUclips. Very glad to hear that you've bought another boat. What kind and where are you now? Looking forward to seeing more from you.
Stay safe.
We bought a Contest 46. She’s amazing :) we are in Chicago still and the boat is currently in Florida. We had big plans to be back on her and cruising soon, but like everyone, we are now hunkering down and staying inside and safe. Someday we’ll get back to cruising though!
Just finished watching both your seasons all in one day. Very entertaining and educational. I'm surprised nobody has asked this question, but what do the two of you do for regular employment when you're not out sailing or adventuring?
Dang I missed you guys!
too mach people, very nice
Good to see you guys gain! Look forward to what you guys have planned in future. How are you making out with the current craziness?
we're doing good. we had just bought a new boat (GREAT timing...) but now just sitting tight and seeing what happens. We are sad, anxious, scared, and all the other emotions. But trying to stay positive while staying inside and safe. Hope you are doing well and staying safe too!
what a pity going in canary islands with motor !! it's sailboat !! 😞
That's the difference between mono hull and catamarans... rolling. Sails, no storm jib back-up?
Gripping stuff! Whatever happened to the boat that was abandoned in your earlier video?
You guys do a real MATURE view of sailing. You and RAN and Cloudy Bay, along with Distant Shores . Pls dont go down the road of all the cute sexy ladies and how you can sail depending on handouts. Keep it real and professional. Vaughan
are you saying I'm not cute or sexy??? ;) But seriously, thanks so much. We're glad you like them! We made these videos because we loved doing it and having a record of our travels. Our plan is to keep on making them once we are sailing again.
Was this the Tilly mint??? (SP)
sure was!
I think Dove II was never found?
it was never found...
Where is your Patreon page?
What happens NEXT........?
that's the "rescue at sea" video. We posted out of order... like 3 years out of order (whoops!)
Anyone know why they quit posting?
there boat sank
They didn't have a boat ?? I didn't think ? They were crewing on other boats ? Right ? I m sad to see them leave the ocean . With no goodbye
Is it gonna take another year to find out about the rescue? Since you average 1 video a year.
good question! But no, you can watch the rescue footage here (ruclips.net/video/e8bfj2Mx65k/видео.html) we released that video back in 2017 right after the rescue happened. So it's a bit out of sequence...
Still alive?🤔
What happened u guys aren’t dead right u haven’t posted ina year ???
Hi Will and Cat! So nice to hear from you again!.. even if the footage is from 2016. If you're like me, you are stuck inside on COVID lockdown reminiscing about travels past. I've been watching lots of sailing videos, including yours. Awesome, by the way! You've inspired me to make one of my own videos featuring a recent sail in the Grenadines Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/gY8Hq-i2xOM/видео.html Would be interested in your professional opinion, if you have a chance. You may recognize some of the islands. Looking forward to more of your videos. Stay safe!
Another channel gone!
You need a catamaran 😂
well we did just buy a new boat... but not a catamaran. we bought a 46 foot Contest that SOMEDAY will be great to sail on.
You lost me at the poem.
