Seems to only work if they are crouching. Not sure if it can be done standing or prone.

Eh, just use a tank shell or ant tank rifle to the person riding the horse it will kill it instantly

little late but a couple good shots and laying prone when the horse rider tries to stab you and it’s an easy kill
