2042 didn’t have a single chance to become a great Battlefield game. It was just built as battle royale game from the core… nowhere near to a great game.

FFXIV launched in a terrible state and it tightened up instantly and was able to not only retain players but bring in droves more over the years and it's still pulling in new people. No Man's Sky, same thing. ESO, same thing. I feel like the potential is there but where a lot of companies miss out on is good marketing. SO many GOOD indie games launch and end up dying instantly because they can't afford marketing in their budget. Dice can afford it, not sure why they didn't do more of it.

Nothing against Battlebit, but *for me* it's just not as good as BF2042 (although I'm quite happy for anyone to disagree with me). It just seems to be something that's used by people upset at the BF2042 launch, to push more players away. Personally I'd say play and enjoy both, just don't dismiss how decent BF2042 is now!

So many players were butthurt and are still crying. Too proud to admit that 2042 could be good. I also Think EA/Dice needs to promote it one last time. A final push. So many players dont even remember this game still exists. They remade the maps... now its time to remake the launch trailer and relaunch the game for the second year of content. On TV, on internet, rebrand the cover of the physical game.

Lol. I saw the title and thought you made a video because of my comment. And here we are :) Here is some context. I started bf5 two years after launch. Most bugs fixed and there were no new releases. I played it good 2 years and had so much fun before 2042 release. There were plenty servers and player base when I jumped on it on game pass. I believe I'd have had the same great experience with Bf2042 if I had done the same. BTW, even though I stopped playing, I watch your videos daily and get entertained. When I do get back in the game, I'd love to have a session with you :) Cheers bud, keep up the great work.

Its always been about the people who play, on the battlefield, with vehicles and the freedom of an open map. Its the fun ideas I come up with that make me want to play, and laugh. 2042 is super fun, im having more fun in it than in BF5 and BF1 , i know that will piss off some, i couldnt care less 🤷💩 The game was horrible when released but since then, its now super fun ever since season 1. Funny vid as usual 👊
As someone who has played Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5.... I can say battlefield 2042 is the best battlefield experience I ever had solely because portal exists and casual gamers like me can enjoy the game fighting with Bots and leveling up rather than spawning in and getting killed by sweaty players in every match... Also unlike other battlefield games u don't have to worry about it being dead when players leave
Its taken Dice almost 2 years from release to finally get it to run ok and look good, that’s shocking. Basically the game was released 2 years to early. Dice have severely damaged there own reputation with this game and I would be surprised if people will buy dice games in the future.
I'm still missing 600 coins from this season. Contacted EA Help and they were no help. They said there was nothing they could do. I get all the other rewards, but the coins stopped when I reached 5100. So happy I didn't buy them.

Not hating , but please tell DICE to make more maps, I love the game but feel the content is really really lacking and concerned if they cut content after s6 - not sure why they can't add more maps to portal there so many BF3 maps that would be great to add to portal, Isn't it possible to get a couple level designers to update some of the old maps and get a group of interns to do the donkey work (adding updated textures etc) ???

I pre-ordered it, played a glitchy buggy mess, uninstalled, waited and waited and waited, I installed it again in season 3, installed it, played, couldn’t see my gun 🤦🏼♂️, uninstalled 😂 waited, waited, season 4, install, played, game was ok but not quite there yet… season 5 turned everything around and now the game is actually enjoyable 😮
I didn't pre-order, but I did play the beta. It turned me off. I then tried again during the Xmas free weekend last year, again, wasn't that great. Then it was free through PS+ with the onset of season 5. I play it most days and I enjoy it for the most part. With that said, I'm still glad I didn't pay for it. I actually just got a survey from EA the other day, asking how likely I am to recommend the game. Honestly, if they grabbed it free but don't play it I tell people to give it a shot. But considering the PS store is still asking full price for the game, I tell people not to bother.

a lot of people just have a bias towards battlebit because of all the positive feedback and a negative bias of 2042 for all the bad reasons

The early bf1942 from pc was the champion along with bf Vietnam and secret weapons of ww2. The mechanics totally worked. Down hill after bf4.
