Hope to see Grace on the floor more next season. Thanks for being the ultimate professionals throughout the season. Can’t wait to see you next season!!
With little time on the floor, your defense was great. I hope you get more time and can become the player we know you are. Enjoy and grow your game in Turkey. Be safe Thank you for your positivity. Blessings 🌺🌺🩷🩷🙏
I am glad she going to get a chance to play even if she has to go to Turkey in the off season. I like her attitude and I really hope we see more of her next year. She is a great hidden assist to the team. Great ball handler. I feel she would be a great person to play when Caitlin needs a break.
I would love to see Grace get playing time next year! A 6'0" point guard is rare, and the Fever have two, so it seems to me like they should take advantage of that. Can't wait to see what's next for Grace, and I hope it includes more time on the floor! ❤💛💙
Keep your head up girl you are an amazing player, I enjoyed watching you play at Indiana so I know you can play the game at a high level and you will get your chance just stay positive because life has its ups and downs.
She wasn't tasked to guard CC much in college. She has a very good midrange game, but her three ball and foot speed need more work. She seems to be a very likable person though.
That's why she rides the bench. Her game is more efficient. Everyone would benefit from her game except for Clark. Who can only shoot 3s and run the floor. She has no half court game. Grace has that. The problem was the torches would come out if Clark was not starting.
So good to see the solid work ethic in Grace and the attitude. I'm confident this will pay good dividends in the future. Congratulations Grace on your successes. Stay strong in Turkey.
Grace deserved more time on the court. It's a shame that the coaching didn't allow it. Congratulations nonetheless, Grace. I hope you find redemption in Turkey.
This woman should have been along side CC... their games mesh so well! Shame she didn't see much time on the floor! Hopefully, next season, the Coaching Staff will be able to see that asset Berger is on the floor!
Grace has a great midrange game, but unfortunately her foot speed isn't conducive to the uptempo style of game CC and the Fever want to play at. Even at IU she was in a more half court style of offense. If she wants to retain a roster spot she needs to be a 3 and D player, develop a consistent three ball and work on the foot speed. She gets blown by too easily on defense.
@@closequarters4575 ---and Wheeler went along with Sides plan to slow the game down, which always squandered the lead they had built. Berger should be on the court.
Hang in there Grace, next season the Fever needs speed, defense and arc shooting, and I'm sure you'll find your spot. Great watching you when you are out there!
Many of the Fever fans are heartbroken that Sides didn't give Grace even a reasonable amount of time on the court. It's a shame she has to go to Turkey to show her talent and utilize all the work she put in this season with a personal trainer and with the team. She has always been a great player. She was the one player I feared, as an Iowa fan, when the Hawkeyes played the Hoosiers. Her playmaking, shooting, and defensive skills were evident in college and certainly last season at Indiana. I consider it a crime that Sides kept her on the bench. Her lack of playing time is my biggest regret for the Fever's season this year. I wish Grace the best in Turkey and for next year in the W and many years to follow. You were not treated justly by Sides, and I admire you for always working on your game regardless of the injustice you've been dealt. Thank you, Grace
Another idolator bot. But yeah I like Grace, maybe someday her skill set will translate tjj on the pro game. Hope it does. But one thing for sure…. Good thing you’re not a coach.
I would have liked to see you play more , I've seen you play before and you have skills . . Your time will come , hopefully with the fever .. I' will be rooting for you where ever you go and will follow your career . You have made a fan out of me for the way you kept your head high through the season . Grace , your a class act , keep on ballin and you will achieve your due .
Grace, i hope your off-season play in Turkey turns out to be a fantastic experience for you! And i hope that you'll get meaningful minutes at Fever next year!
Please stop asking CC teammates about her impact to the team. It’s obvious her impact towards the Fever team. Give the other players their flowers and some grace.
I've seen this often in the past where a player's position is to understudy the star player. Grace has to stay positive and develop her skills further so that she's always ready to step up when required. Grace's personality helps and she has a steel core which will help her get there.
Grace needs more PT this girl can get buckets and run the offense. I really want her to be Clark's main backup PG going forward or get an opportunity to be a starting PG in this league, elsewhere.
Hang in there Grace. I loved watching you in college. Hope you get to play for someone that lets you showcase your talent. Hope we don’t lose you to another team.
I’m sure anyone reading these comments knows this but Grace is a true competitor and a really great basketball player. It’s a shame she didn’t fit in with the coaches system this year because I know she has a lot more to show everyone and I hope that happens next season, whether it’s on the Fever or a team that can appreciate her abilities. She’s tall, strong, and competitive. And has a great attitude. I really wish we saw her more the second half of the season.
She was the 7th overall pick in the 1st round for Fever in 2023. Mind boggling why she didn't get any minutes. They need to cut Erica Wheeler and have her come off the bench behind Caitlin Clark.
This is a coaching mistake not to let Grace come off the bench and provide some stiff defense when it's needed. The coaching staff is wasting good talent.
I’ve watched hundreds of great fabulous players in college. That never ever make it pro. Most draftees on their first day of practice are closer to going home than to making a stariting five. Facts.
@DustyTail Yes, I agree. For a variety of reasons, physical, psycholigical and personal, the road to sports as a professional is difficult, but Grace Berger made it. Drafted she must have something special. Not to play every player you draft and pay is questionable. Never saw Grace or Victoria Saxton play in prime time. (Why?) Taylor, top NCAA defensive player never played until she went to Phx where she's a very good bench player.
Imo it was almost criminal what Sides did to this young lady. Relegating her to the bench for virtually the entire season. What happened that put her in Christie's dog house? Here's a young lady who was the winningest player in Indiana U history. Once dropped 26 on Iowa and Caitlin and a career high 29 against Michigan State. She's had all kind of accolades and achievements when she left the University. Averaged 47.1% from 3 as a rookie and made The All Rookie team and you're telling us she can't see the floor even for a few minutes? If there is an expansion draft I hope Grace is on it so she can go to a team where the coach and front office respects her game enough to give her some playing time. Wheeler has great energy and looks like she has pretty good handles. Why she doesn't go to the cup and try to create some contact instead of running under it is beyond me. She has open shots but seems like she doesn't want to take them unless either the game clock or shot clock is running down. She's just entirely too quick of a player not to be getting many more buckets than she does. I believe if she got into the the paint more she can knock down some mid ranges but she won't do it. I would give Grace a try and see what happens. She's 6ft and would be the perfect sub for Caitlin. Could it be that "Someone" put out marching orders that she's not to play? If true I wonder who?
Grace Berger's not playing is not her fault. Its Sides and the other coaches fault. They don't know rotation. That's why they have a difficult time with Lynx and Sun who are so good at rotations!
I think Wheeler needs to take a pay cut, or she leaves and Grace takes the 2 spot to backup CC. She's smart, and she can play. GRACE if you're reading this, we are pulling for ya!! Enjoy Turkey and keep grinding!
I don't know about a pay cut for Wheeler - she is a source of unrivaled team encouragement and positivity on or off the bench. (I totally understand why Christie Sides likes having her in the locker room establishing the culture for these young players to develop under.) That said I've liked what I've seen from Grace - from someone new to her game. Wheeler won't be able to keep playing forever. I like Berger as a Fever teammate who can rotate in / out for the Fever to keep everyone's legs fresh / give another slight variation to the looks the Fever give their opponents. Like many others here, I too hope we'll get to see her on the court more for the Fever next year.
I like Grace very much personally from what I've seen. She seems like such a sweetheart. Hope to see her play more whether on the Fever or maybe the Valkyries if she gets to see the court more. I really had fun watching the Fever backups almost pull out a win over the Mystics. I was laughing and clapping as they caught up and made it exciting. I love to cheer for the underdog who has talent but not on a top tier talent team same as I cheered for Clark at Iowa and the Fever. If games from Turkey or whatever team she goes to were televised I'd watch her play and cheer her on. Kind of how I cheered for Kate Martin to do good. Berger, Muhl, Martin and Taylor are some talented players who don't get to play so I hope they see more PT in the future.
It is tough to go from a very successful Big 10 carrier and then have limited playing time. Your interview showed me a honorable individual. I wish you joy and success in the future.

Well hun, I was one of the fans that yelled, "Put in Gracie" almost every game!. I hope you stay with the team and am able to watch you expand your game with the Fever.
You are one of the most underrated basketball players in the WNBA! A great ball handler who's not afraid to attack the paint against much bigger players. A great nose for the basket.

I have no idea why, but Grace caught my eye as soon as I began to watch the Fever. Perhaps it was her unique headband. In the early season games, I noticed her getting some minutes, not many, but some. Then one day she entered a game, was fouled on a three point shot, and went to the line to shoot three foul shots, missing them all. I never saw her in any more games other than in a mop up role from time to time. In one game where the Fever were hopelessly out of the game, behind by 19 or so, Coach Sides began to substitute and Grace was able to play. The subs made a remarkable comeback, with Grace having a shot to win the game with the clock winding the game. She clanked it off the rim, so disappointing! Most of the time I'd see her on the bench standing up to cheer with her teammates when the team did something good. Perhaps it's just me, but in the interview I could sense and hear some disappointment in her voice and demeanor. That's understandable. I was pleased to learn that she'd going to play in Turkey as that will keep her active in basketball and take her mind off what must have been a disappointing season, personally. Let's hope she come back next season and does well. I'd like to know more about what team she'll be playing on in Turkey and what league. I'd appreciate learning more about where she'll play. I hope she's able to learn to speak Turkish.
