Not only is he one of the baddest guitar players, he played on MTV Unplugged with one of my all time favorite bands, Stone Temple Pilots, right when they were rising stars. So cool!
I have a Valley Arts Standard Pro that I got from a music store that I taught guitar at in 1991. Full maple, Seymour Duncan JB HSS. It's a beautiful guitar that plays incredibly well.
I have watched Shaun's video's for a while now. The thing i like most about him is he replyed to a comment of mine and i really wasn't expecting it. Very approachable and not an ounce of stuck upedness, if that's a word. From an Ozzie cover/church band guitarist, i respect humility, and he has it in droves. Nice to hear a bit about his guitars, but also his random acts of guitar destruction and forgetfulness etc. Great interview. I do feel that first guitar would be close to having a strat with 3xP90's in it. I have loaded a frankinstrat with JJ's pick up P90 simulcast pickups and they give me this kind of tone but look like normal single coils. Anyway, Thanks for the cool video Robert.
total monster. incredible chops aside-easily the most inventive guitar player ive seen out of all the amazing ones i follow from the nashville scene. also, man I used to go in that Mesa Boogie store so many times and just stare at all the beautiful Wood cab boogies and the Tom Anderson’s every time I was in LA visiting family or on business I would go there. I must’ve met shawn at some point tho this was way back in the 90’s-Maybe he was there after me or before me anyhow killer video thank you Robert and thank you shawn. I do have your album by the way- it is awesome.
I hate it when guitarists are exponentially better than me. He's fuckin great. I ran over my guitar once too (hard to admit because that was my only guitar at the time..d'oh)...if it had been a gig bag, nite nite...it broke the case, but the guitar was amazingly unscathed. One of those guitars I should never have sold. Still gets me. I'm hard on my guitar gear
Robert, been tuning into Shawn from his beginning. A humble powerhouse genius. Such an incredible player and innovator. Always watch and listen in awe. Would love to see You, and Shawn sit down together, same studio and just let ‘er rip!!! Bouncing off of each other in a power packed jam session! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄⭐️🎁⭐️🙏
That dude would be pretty good with a little practice 😂 How on earth does he keep those all those guitars in such great condition? Mine always look like they have been through WW3 after 6 months 😂
Shecter Hellcat values just went through the roof 😂 What I find ironic about this video is that he’s wearing a Fender shirt but he has the biggest collection of “non Fender” Fenders I’ve ever seen 😂
Thanks so much Robert!

Really!? I didn't know that! And I've watched all those Mtv Unplugged sessions a million times lol. I'm gonna go watch it right now

He’s awesome. Met him at a Big Wreck show in Nashville. Super nice guy.
Tubbs is the best :)
It's so cool to hear Tom Anderson's name. I was working at T.A.G. during the time Shawn was at Mesa Boogie Hollywood.
He doesn’t seem very scary. Seems to be a reasonably pleasant person. Fine player too.

🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 Well done once again.🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🎸
I could listen to #shawntubbs play all day long...especially his "are 80's tones cool again" episode !
That Tyler sounded like a Stones tune was going erupt from the pickups!
