“I married her for her, not the idea of having a kid.” That whole segment had me high-fiving ya. Props. People should get married because they love EACH OTHER, and not to fulfill a fantasy. Husband goals. 👏🏻
I agree to some degree. I’m married and currently pregnant so this doesn’t apply to me 😂 If I wanted a child and I was dating someone who wasn’t interested in children, that is not my person. We have to be with someone who has similar goals as us. Which is why these two are perfect together. They both had no expectations and they both are okay with either outcome 💕
I wish people would ask "if" you want kids rather than "when" are you going to have kids. It's ok not to want kids. It's also ok to want kids. You are both awesome people and so supportive of each other - thanks for these discussions and have a wonderful holiday!🎄
I just wanna say that I met Manny at an event for Patrick Star and got the courage to go up to him and say hi. He was so nice, looked me in the eyes, and complimented my makeup which was peak because I used his palette lol. One of the few influencers that I’ve met who was nice and accessible. You’ve been complimenting strangers Manny, good job! ❤
Laura hyping up her sister even after everything they’ve been through is so inspiring. My sister and I (she’s younger) have had issues throughout life and I haven’t talked to her in a while. This gives me hope ❤️ Love you guys 💞 Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🥳
don't stop the compliments Manny! I try to give two small, sincere complements every day. You never know how somebody else is feeling and it could really pull up their day plus you just feel nice knowing you gave someone a compliment that they weren't expecting.
Random compliments from strangers is always nice to hear....I compliment strangers all the time and u can always tell they appreciate...you also never know what someone is going through and a simple compliment could make that person's day ❤️
I want them to do what's best for them, but as a childfree person I would love for Laura and Tyler to join the community!! We definitely need more representation that you can be happy and fulfilled without having children 🥰🥰🥰
I heard someone say once(i think miles with the try guys) that life prepares you for the hard parts of being a parent. You’ve been sleep deprived before, you’ve been stressed before, you’ve been annoyed before. You can handle that. What life doesn’t prepare you for is the amazing parts of being a parent. I also feel like people scare you before you become a parent and it’s so much better than I was expecting. I love my girl so much. She is 2 and the love of my life. I still have my own identity. I still work and enjoy my career. Life doesn’t have to end just because you have kids.
The way you're showing how recovery can work for people is amazing. I'm 7 yrs clean and I've been wondering how she was. Glad to hear how great she's doing! I lost my Mom almost 3 years ago and I get needing a family member, some people don't understand that. Merry Christmas to all of you 🎄❄️❤️
@@laurac86 congrats to you also!! She spoke about how her and her sister are talking alot now and it warmed my heart. Would still love an update though.
My parents had me later in life and now in their old age I’m caring for them both while I’m in my mid 30’s, which I’d do over and over again in a heartbeat, but I feel Tyler and Manny when they say they’d feel guilty about having kids later in life. Love the pod, Merry Foolmas ❤
I wish you’d guys let Laura talk out the subject of kids. She was going to get into it and you guys kept talking over her. I think it’s very relatable because as a woman in my 30s it’s a constant question. A lot of us can relate Laura.
Hey Fool Fam! I’m having a really bad Christmas, my mom’s in the hospital with some complications from her end stage liver disease (which we didn’t even find out about until less than 2 months go, and no my mother NEVER drank alcohol). So it’s been a lot emotionally. But I’m really grateful to you guys because you guys make my holiday brighter ❤ Thank you guys! God bless you all 💞
I lost my mom to liver cancer 5 years ago, it was only a month from the time we found out to the time she passed away. She never drank either. Enjoy this time with her and make sure you say all the things to her! ❤️
I am working, cleaning houses, and was just searching for something to listen to. So thank you for posting. It’s the best Christmas present! Merry Christmas to you all.🎄🧡
Honestly, ages 2-4 are my FAVORITE!! 🥰 They start really showing their personalities and the things they say crack me up. 💜 At 5-6, my daughter started with attitude, and the sass. 🙄
There is nothing wrong with not wanting children. I will say everyone is nervous to have a child even if they don’t say it. I hate how people portray parenthood on social media bc it is just so different. And no matter what trauma you have you love that baby with all your heart.
I checked for a new episode like an hour ago and was worried that y’all weren’t going to post today because of Christmas being this week. I’m SOOO happy y’all pulled through with a new episode! Y’all rock! Love fool coverage
This is incredibly important lesson in discussing children before getting married. Being on the same page of having or not having kids is a need not a want. Make sure you have this discussion before you choose your life partner.
This message is for Tyler lol. I was getting really bad tension headaches and started to develop a dowagers hump. And the headaches were so bad and would also cause me to have TMJ. What helped me was seeing a chiropractor, getting massages, foam rolling and having the foam sit right where the hump is. Also correcting your posture will really help. But focusing on those things has really helped my headaches and pain. But the foam rolling really worked. Hope this helps!
So happy your sister is doing well and found her path with grooming. Thank you for sharing her story. It’s been wonderful to hear about her successes and watch Erin thrive with your and Ty’s love and support. You and Ty are special people, Laura Lee.
Laura I feel you on the pregnancy thing. I had a fitting room attendant ask me one time when my baby is due. I am a heavier set person & was wearing a babydoll style top but come on. That’s just not something you ask a random stranger!
Laura Thank you for sharing the part about “Not needing a break from your own child” because i also saw that original tik tok and its always hung with me as well. Im also 32 and have no wants for a child right now. I just want to take my time because its such a big decision. But, anyways thanks because it helped me.
OHHH I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS. HAPPY HOLIDAYS MANNY, TY, ERIN, AND LAURA ❤❤❤❤ LOVE YOU GUYS SMMMM. Most definitely couldn’t have made it through 2022 without your channels, or Fool Coverage!!
I’m sorry there is no other podcast I’ve ever listened to that is this hilarious lol your guys story times and commentary is sooooo hilarious please never stop doing these I look forward to it every week
Tyler smiling while Laura’s telling the story about the guy trying to run her off the road is giving me psychotic vibes like he wishes he would’ve been in the car when this went down 😂
I was going to stop watching RUclips and clean my house for Christmas but you posted so I’ll stay on my couch for little longer!! Love you guys ❤️ Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Shoutout to Laura for talking about her sister’s issue. It’s a very common one and often someone around you is experiencing it and you’ll never know. ❤️
I’m totally in the same boat on agreeing with Laura about all the scary things that come with having kids and giving birth and being really careful with that choice! You have to know everything that could happen and be super sure
Laura, you and I are on the EXACT same page with having kids. I’ve been with my husband for 8+ years and sometimes I think it’d be amazing to share that together but ALSO YIKES. 😅
Same here! My husband and I have been together for 15 years and we lean mostly on no for kids but sometimes we wonder if we don't, then we're missing out on a big part of life.
I’m 31 and had my daughter in February. I have never ever wanted kids. I never wanted to be a mom. Something changed one day out of the blue. I never thought it would happen. I was also terrified because all you ever hear is how terrible post partum is, how you’ll never sleep again, how hard breastfeeding is, and honestly just how terrible it is having a kid. I was terrified. She’s 10 months old now and I have never been happier. Maybe I was blessed with a happy, easy baby but I can’t imagine my life without her. Seeing my husband with her is wonderful. I didn’t go through post partum even though I had something traumatic happen (that I won’t go into), I’m still breastfeeding and it’s such a wonderful bond. It’s hard but so rewarding. And I sleep just fine! 🤷🏽♀️
I understand the back and forth about having kids and when they’re babies it’s a very worrisome but amazing time. I will say that the time that you have before they go to school seriously flashes by in the blink of an eye. Also, I’m in recovery (since may 15, 2019) and for you to speak about your sister the way you do is so refreshing. Family is the thing a lot of us need most. Even if we don’t realize that at the time. I have a little sister by 9 years and she is my biggest supporter and idk what I’d do without her. Or the rest of my close family. 🤎
Highly recommend complimentIng people in person. It makes them feel so much better about themselves and it also makes you feel like a good person because they will have a surprise reaction because they’re not used to getting compliments.
I had my first kid at 39 and yes it's difficult but I do see the worth! She is so special! You will never be ready to have kids, I never was but I would do it again if I was younger and see the benefits of doing it younger now. It was an easy experience for me pregnancy and birth wise. The harder part was doing during COVID we had to keep everyone away for the safety of our new baby, that was the hard painful part.
Me doing a vacuum while doing makeup and Laura saying women can’t have anything hanging out. Could not have been a better moment! Tighter sister, tighter! 😂 Also love the moment when Ty was going to say his pit and Laura’s eyes were like “what is he going to say?!”
I think Tyler’s sweater wins for being hand made and for the reference! Side note: I saw Laura’s sweater at winners in Canada which is a tj maxx sister store
I was 19 when I had my son. I turned 20 a few months later. And he's honestly the love of my life. There is no best job for me than being a mom. I love it🥰
