Coming right up! While these aren’t the healthiest of choices, the variety of options make it a dream compared to what their grandparents had as kids in the 1950s. I graduated from high school in 1983
I remember the food they served in the school cafeteria especially here where I live in Southern Oklahoma it wasn't the best food but it got you through the day without going hungry and this
brings back the memories of the 70's and 80's thanks for the memories.🇺🇲
The School lunches here in the south back in the 70s and 80s is somthing often talked about and sadly missed. It tasted homemade,wholesome and filling. The homemade spaghetti was my favorite! Now days it's crap thrown on a Styrofoam plate and tasteless. If they only knew what they missed😍
Cafeteria food in the mid 80s was actually pretty good but I never minded when my sweet mom would pack a homemade lunch into my Strawberry Shortcake metal lunchbox - complete with a soup thermos! Ah, those were the days!

Whoppers and Taco Bell for lunch?! That's practically child abuse in my opinion. Not in my area. We're still a little closer to the old fashioned menus in the schools though for sure not as fresh and healthy as the 50s.
