The character portraits on the top right and left are supposed to mirror the roles that each team got. For example, you and Gideon are both in the middle, Steel and Narbash are both supports. This is not always the case, because people can be in a party/ on comms, but you understand what I mean.

Because of how popular Gideon is, I love playing Morigesh. Screw all those Gideons thinking they can teli away from.
Fun fact,you can jump into Gideon Tele and the slow isnt strong enough to matter

I think most people would agree that epoch(stasis) is the worst of the three common crest for midlaners. Its generally only picked against midlaners with very strong ults, like the fey, morigesh, and howitzer. Gadget is probably the only midlaner who doesn't mind picking it since her ult and abilities continue to do damage while she is stasised. Every other midlaner prefers the speed and the shield that soulbearer brings or if they have a stun or is an assassin likes the one shot potential of obelisk. Not to mention soulbearer and obelisk give ability haste and flat magic pen respectively which not every build has in abundance.
If you play this character well then Gideon stands absolutely no chance. I was playing Gideon and got absolutely swamped by this character the other day after winning like 4 different matches against her previously. I was hitting my basic attacks as often as she was hitting me and we traded 141 on abilities and I died every time because she was just that much more powerful.
Hey Mast, an item i highly recommend rushing on any midlaner is time warp
Its one of the only items that give you mana sustain and has the bighest base ability haste on top of the passive.
Even though its not a bursty item like combustion or heavy on the DoT like megacosm, the sustain and ability spam more than makes up for it

Morigesh is my fav! her ult makes me giggle every time, she's fun in mid but I play her mostly in support and that is really fun, but you can do some nasty things in offlane too, great to see you play her Excited to see more Pred vids too, glad you're enjoying the game

stasis is actually really good on characters like gadget in certain situations. just pop ult, little drone and sticky bomb and stasis and u just chill til teamfight ends lol

Stasis only ever comes in clutch against Shinbi, Morigesh Feng Mao, or Gideon ults maybe more but
The only time status helped me was when I got morrigesh ulted
