Wow, Ailyn singing Evanescence! A vocalist from my favourite band (Sirenia) singing a song from my other favourite band. This is epic. It's kind of like two of my favourite bands coming together!
This is such a beautiful cover... Her voice isn't as powerful as Amy's in some ways, but it's just as amazing. In some ways, she even surpasses Amy's vocals. Beautifully done.
I love the original the most, obviously. This version, however, is done really well and I quite like ailyn's voice with this song, she does it justice, in my humble opinion.

En opinion critica el tema ha tomado dos ambientaciones diferentes la original con voz messosoprano de amy lee y la version europea cantada por la soprano ailyn creo que esto hace que la cancion sea mas aceptable para los que les gustan un registro claro y amplio como el de amy lee y los que prefieren una voz lirixa como la de ailyn .. asi que no creo malinterpretar o criticar este material de forma destructiva ya que un tema que se reinterpreta de nueve debe tener un nuevo estilo ya que ahi se esconde la escencia de la interpretacion usar y xonquistar la cancion con tu estilo y adaptarla a el . Asi que ailyn como otaku aprendio mucho sobre el arte del cover y lo aplica muy bien .

+WeN Kath no confundas la cantidad de notas que un cantante hace con su registro vocal . la voz se clasifica mas por su color , timbre , densidad . aunque una soprano suba menos que una mezzo . te das cuen ta de quien es quien con el color de su voz . el fa central de ailyn suena mas ligero que el de amy lee pero ambas hacen esas notas . solo compara los colores y timbres de sus voces . mariah carrey , whitney houston y ariana grande tiene distintas tesituras en lo que abarcan pero las tres aon sopranos y te das cuentas por el color dw sus notas desde que cantan en voz media

When I heard she came from X-Factor (non-US) and covered some Evanescence, I HAD to hear it! I'm a huge fan of Sirenia. This is good stuff, of course, but Sirenia is so much better! Ailyn does this song justice.

Geez, I don't want to be disrespectful with anyone's opinion, but come on, new album is the best Sirenia has ever released! And Ailyn does sing this song beautifully, she puts a whole new emotion on it, a lot of agressiveness, and she shows what she's capable to do. I just wish Morten would stop writing all the songs with the same old vocal lines and use the potential she has. Sorry I didn't write in spanish, I can read it, but I don't write well ^^'
sorry but you are wrong first of all imaginary is not evanescence oldest song it was not on the first 2 track demo cd they did second of all covers are flattery immitation is the sincerest form so allthough i like the original better its a tribute therefore good
its weird when people say 'Amy Lee sings a lot better'...damn straight she does and I'm sure Ailyn isn't trying to compete with Amy Lee....thats not the point of covering a song. I do like Ailyn's voice a lot, particularly in the album the 13th floor with Sirenia, but her voice isn't suited for evanescence songs.

Ailyn did a pretty good job. but her voice doesn't match the Evanescence style. this is good, but nothing compared to the original. NO ONE can cover an Evanescence song and sound amazing. Amy Lee is the one and only person with that unique sound in her voice that matches with Evanescence.
