As much as I'm against the whole "walter is such a badass oh my god" stuff, that scene at the end with the music is just so damn good and always gives me chills, I love it!
I don’t think it’s wrong or immature to label moments like that as “badass” because that is precisely what Walt feels like in that moment, and those feelings are what drive him further into darkness. I think you can acknowledge that Walt’s decisions are immoral while still empathizing with his desire for power and recognition which drove him to make said decisions. In fact, I’d argue that’s essential to understanding his character. What’s more, I think that feeling gratification while watching Walt’s crimes forces us to reckon with the fact that we all have a little Heisenberg within us. A little part of us that desires power in the same way Walt does. The whole point of the show is to show us the consequences of letting that part of ourselves run wild.
I know it isn't 'professional' and breaks immersion or whatever when we catch actors accidentally smiling or laughing in serious scenes, but when Walt Jr. does it here, and that previous time during the 'intervention,' it just makes me happy knowing that the cast is having fun and reminds me that they're human. I like to see that.
I think skillet Jesse uses in #4 is a nod to the "under the surface" shots they love to use in the show, being as how this time it's not a camera trick and the pan is actually glass.
3:34 It’s so rare for me to laugh these days, thank you for that. It was hilarious. Especially considering that Bryan’s performance in “say my name” scene has a slight comedic tint.
I’ve rewatched this show countless times but would always skip through this episode as I couldn’t handle the cringe but your editing of the party scene made me laugh so hard I was finally able to rewatch it after 10 years! I’d be amazed if you missed a single detail, I would love to know the stories behind all those continuity errors but I’m sure they’re lost to time. Thanks for the shoutout and excellent video as always!
Wow, thanks! Sooo cringe, second only to the cringe in the next episode!! I imagine they just did multiple takes and didn't notice or didn't care(?) about small details like the popsicle. Seems to happen a lot with any scene involving food. The outlet one is just so weird to me, though. Seems inexcusable!
I'm not a plumber, but I am a building maintenance worker who's fixed her fair share of water heater leaks, and that doesn't look like a gas line to me. At least in Arizona, and so plausibly in New Mexico as well, gas lines are in stripwound hoses, the flexible metal kind made out of two long interlocking spirals. That looks like the return water line that's leaking, which suggests to me that they have a recirc pump. Pretty swanky for such a crappy heater. A gas line wouldn't split in two to go up and down like that one does, and it wouldn't have a gate-valve type shutoff (circular handle), it would have a ball valve (long thin handle that turns 90 degrees).
Awesome video!! As per usual, you made my day much better during lunch break. Thanks so much, Better Watch TV! (or is there something else you'd go by?)
"its light out so theres no way its 10pm like her watch says" Me looking out the window at the 10:50pm Scottish summer sunset with my arctic circle ass: yeah checks out
Fun fact....anytime a watch is pictured it is set to 10:10 because it represents a smile, both hands are shown fully, and that position doesn't hide any of the watch's branding or logos. I'd venture a guess that in MOST watch shots in various shows it will be set to 10:10.
One thing to note about the hardware scene at the end is that Walt sets aside the white paint buckets, getting rid of Walter White and allowing Heisenberg to come out.
The crawl space is such an amazing symbol for the darkness within Walter White. The "rot" beneath the surface. Rot which had been growing for years before surfacing, AKA the Heisenberg persona which grew after years of resentment. The shot where Walt punctures the floor with a screwdriver comes shortly after Walt's confrontation with Hank. This represents how Walt was finally given a glimpse inside of himself and found something disgusting, and potentially dangerous. The crawl space is also a symbol for Hell, and as Jesse tells us: "Mr. White, he's the Devil". This makes the final scene of the Crawl Space episode even more disturbing: the Devil cackling in Hell". In that moment Walter White realized that in order to save his family he had to do something monstrous. What remained of Walter White went into the crawl space but never came out. Instead, what emerged was all Heisenberg. The Devil himself arising from underground.
Fact #9 That was filmed at an Ace Hardward on San Mateo. I live by that store actually. Also I myself was an extra on BTC when they filmed at the Cottonwood Mall. Don't walk up and ask to be in a scene. In those shots all the background actors are hired extras. They have PAs stop everyone for a moment during takes.
5:35 to be fair, when I buy new shoes, the first thing I do is dump my old worn-out pair into the new box so I can wear the good shoes out of the store lol
😮 Maybe? I think these videos do function very well as a condensed version of each episode, except that I keep butting in! And I sometimes reference future events!
@@betterwatchtv that’s is how I view it anyway lol, I didn’t even notice you said “may not know” in the video til now 🤣 keep it up yo, I’m going through the whole series and then some. You got a dope channel, new member coming soon ❤️
WOAH THE FACT NUMBER 4 IS CRAZY HOW DID YOU FOUND THAT
I knew about those commercials! There were more modern versions, too.
It was a pretty common commercial back then
Might could be that some of us remember those commercials still! They had commercials in the 90s too.
Bro acts like 80's was 400 years ago.,
Everyone born before the millennium knows about "this is your brain on drugs" meme
As much as I'm against the whole "walter is such a badass oh my god" stuff, that scene at the end with the music is just so damn good and always gives me chills, I love it!
Yeah, sometimes they do create cool moments like that. “Because your boss is gonna need me” comes to mind!

Yeah! They did seem to have a lot of fun!

That is actually really funny! You’re probably right!
This is the episode where Hiesenburger got Walt “Breakfast” Junior to drink
An all-time cringe moment!
I always drink liquor for breakfast 😁
7:17 THIS WAS INTENTIONAL
Yes! Completely. 🪛
Another detail in the hardware store scene is that Walt mimics the employees body language because he envies the masculinity of him
Ah! Great point! Thanks!
3:34
It’s so rare for me to laugh these days, thank you for that. It was hilarious. Especially considering that Bryan’s performance in “say my name” scene has a slight comedic tint.
Thanks for the compliment! It made me smile.
7:14 - 7:19 skylar luring ted into her office followed by the screw being driven in - coincidence or ? i lol'd !
Definitely not a coincidence!!
Also the drug guy Walt sees in the hardware shop is the actor who plays Washington in Red vs Blue.
Oh, I didn't know that! Thanks!

Are you gonna do BTS, El camino and Slippin jimmy like this too?
I think so. Slippin’ Jimmy might be a different case…

You know, I don't think breaking bad is real from this. I think this might be some kind of tv show filmed and set up by a crew. Just a thought though
You might be onto something…
2:50 Walt's gonna use this again when he talk to Jesse about making HIS formula
👍 He does!
love it! thanks for another great vid and the shoutout!!!
Thanks, Max!
5:35 I think it'd make sense for someone to put their old shoes into the box of the new ones they are now wearing
Yeah. That’s why I didn’t count it as an official detail. Thanks!
2:24 thank you so much for this, it got a good laugh. walt isn't even trying to hide it anymore!
😂 It was a perfect opportunity for it to happen again. Outdoors, even! We know that when Walt drinks, he’s a danger to himself!
awesome job as always
Thanks again!

Ooh, that’s a really interesting interpretation!
Your recap series is criminally underrated.
Thanks, Tape Worm!!
2:40 "Bring the bottle back" reminds me of Conair in which Cameron Poe tells the con to "put the bunny back in the box".
Haha, I never made that connection, but I see it!

Awesome!!
'a few friends' meant your whole house FUCKING FILLED WITH PEOPLE??
This episode is like a calm episode… maybe
Certainly calmer than the end of the next one!
Also I noted that Skyler is wearing way more revealing clothes when at work 🤔
She knows what she's doing!
I have more emoji suggestions: Jesse's Cap'n Cook license plate or Stevia packet👍
🤣 Love them both!
5:35 to be fair, when I buy new shoes, the first thing I do is dump my old worn-out pair into the new box so I can wear the good shoes out of the store lol
Good point! Yeah, I didn't count that one as an official "hidden detail" since it seemed like it could be justified. Thanks!
5:00 this guy voices a charceter called the "professor " in quantum conundrum so that was the only thing I could think of when watching
Oh, that's funny!
3:05 This is the moment flynn became Heisenjunior. You know how much of a pain it is to clean a pool? Let alone one that has vomit in it? Despicable.
Ha, that would be pretty terrible!
new to the channel and have been binging! "tweaky dude" shannon mckormick is the voice of washington from when red vs blue was good
Welcome, Nick! I’m glad you found the channel! I didn’t know that, so thanks!!
i love these videos
Thank you, Cheez Doodlez!
@@betterwatchtv your welcome!
In the remission party. Walt seemed to be having survivors guilt in the way me statement
Yep, indeed!
2:14 i love flynns face hear
Yeah! Before Hank turns to
I found walt's treatment of the rot to make this the funniest episode of the show
Interesting… I haven’t thought about what episode is the funniest!
3:11 Egg yolk breaks, then it's intact
True!
babe wake up better watch TV uploaded
🎉
Are there any videos similar to these for the sopranos?
I don’t know! (Not from me, anyway.)
5:56 Walt says the same to Jesse in season 5 I think
Indeed! “We? Who’s we?” Poor Jesse.
This series is great
I’m not sure if you mean Breaking Bad or this RUclips video series, but thanks! 😉
As always, nice video!
Thanks, as always!
Great!
Thanks, Dahcuesta!
The amount of times I’ve used apology girl as an apology to my girlfriend
🤣 Does it work?
@@betterwatchtv for the most part yeah 😭
Nice!
next time you should do a premere
Ooo! One issue is that I release videos 2 days earlier for members and I’m not sure if I can do that with a premiere!
maybe 1 on fridays for members (if thats possible to do a hidden premiere) and another premiere for the non members on sundays@@betterwatchtv
I’ll look into it! Thanks for the idea!
can you PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE make videos titles explained for game of thrones and Fargo
I’ve added it to my list, but I don’t know when I’ll have time!
Then do it for tv shows you watched. Titles explained concept is better than hidden détails concept
I'll be thinking about it!
I'm watching the show through these videos. Is that herecy?
😮 Maybe? I think these videos do function very well as a condensed version of each episode, except that I keep butting in! And I sometimes reference future events!
Details: yes
Hidden: no
Your mileage may vary! I prefer “details you might not know” like I say in the videos, but it’s too long for titles 😔
