This game is a spiritual successor to Kingpin Life of Crime 1999 in my headcannon. a contrast of what the game would be if it used the Quake 3 engine instead of 2, no surprise since Xatrix aka Gray Matter Studios made both games. Also those viking skeletal zombies are really similar to Clive Barker Undying's stubborn zombies that just won't give up no matter what.
Yeah, although both games (kingpin and rtcw) takes place in different settings but they have that similar feeling of grittiness in visual level design. Even the enemies design has that bulletspongines and hitscanner style.
I hope to see a full Kingpin walkthrough aswell, I think the game's mechanics are ahead of its time and it had features that I wish were brought back in RTCW like enemies try to get close to you when they get blasted by flamethrowers so you get caught in the fire aswell was good AI for the time, and having to destroy boxes for loot, also who could forget the gore system in Kingpin where you blow enemies body parts apart legs, arms, torso and head. It was so unique for the time! @@giedmich
