i would just like to say thank you to the both of you. I've never travelled b4 but you guys have given me the courage, inspiration and confidence to stop using excuses not to travel and just do it so I've started saving for my first trip and hopefully end up professional bloggers just like yourselves. You inspire so many people. I first found you on RUclips with your South American videos and since then I've been obsessed with you two lol. My mum loves your videos as well. we watch your new videos in a bunch each Sunday night and for 3 months a year i re watch all your videos from the start each night before i go to sleep. Thank you for everything you've done and thank you in advance for all the amazing stuff you'll share with us in the future. happy and safe travels. sending lots of love from the UK x
Thank you very much Karl! We really appreciate hearing that and feel very humbled. We just view ourselves as very ordinary people and if we can enjoy travel I think just about anyone can. That is so exciting to hear. Where are you thinking of going first?
I have spent a week watching your videos...you guys are really charming and I like your dad too! I travel quite a bit and so it is a gentle pleasure to just sit back and watch your videos!
What a wonderful experience, and the views are just beautiful. It is sad but fascinating at the same time, that is definitely one place for the bucket list. That was quite the hike as well LOL, you will have some fantastic stories to tell your kids in the future.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos And I advice you, that if you had enough time you should had visited di Imperial villa in Oplontis too... It is one if the two forgotten places (Oplontis and Stabiae) of the four cities destroyed by the Vesuvius in 79 AD, but it is one of the latest being excavated so it still contains almost intact all its beautiful frescos, while in Pompeii and Herculaneum best part of it were ripped off the walls in 1700 and transferred to National Archeological Musem in Naples. If I remember well, ticket for Archeological Sites is cumulative, and if you organize with precison your visit day, you can experience two or three sites (Herculaneum, Pompeii and Oplontis) and paying only one ticket once.
Pompei and Herculaneum were also the center of the "red light" districts in those days as were discovered by UK Scientists. Those frescoes does not only mean those are prominent people's houses but high class "entertainment" centers. The regular "entertainment" centers have stone beds and smaller rooms.
Could you please include a trip to Sicily this time as my wife & I have holiday booked there in September & would appreciate your impressions? I love your videos & recommend them to my friends frequently. Have fun guy's, hope you are getting rich & famous as you go along. Kind regards.
I've been to Vesuvius this January, taking my Ukranian roomate with me. Even though I'm from Caserta, I've never been there, neither in Pompei or Ercolano, but I have to thank you for going to Ercolano. Tourists only go to Pompei, and it's a pity Ercolano is always left out, since it doesn't receive the mass tourism Pompei receives, thus it's better kept, I beleive.
I love watching videos. They are informative and fun. And as a fellow Canadian it's great to support you guys! How do you get your walking shots so smooth without a gimbal? I always thought you were using one but then I read your camera gear today.
Thank you! The Panasonic GH5 has really good stabilization and when we shoot in a higher frame rate (180, 150 or 120 fps) the footage becomes even smoother :)
I am thinking of visiting Herculaneum from Rome. What train should I take from to reach Herculaneum. How far is the Herculaneum from the train station.
What do you look for to decide for one tour over the other? When we went to Thailand we used Viator but I have heard you can better deals there. But it just seems like so many people are offering tours it's hard to know which ones offer good tours. We were very happy with the tours we took overall though. Your videos were a huge help though so thanks!
Thank you! As a general rule of thumb you get a better price in person versus booking online from far away or even another city. The downside though, as you mentioned, is not knowing if it is a reputable operator. I would suggest looking up companies, tours and such on sites like tripadvisor where they've been reviewed and given ratings by users. Aside from that reading blogs posts about good experiences or having a recommendation from a friend or traveler is often a good bet.
I love u guys videos... Please share about what place you stay in Sorrento. I am going there in august and I would love any tips or where to stay. Thank you.
It has been speculated that the skeletal remains are of those who managed to get out from the town (interior/centre) and were so very close to safety, but in the end could not escape out to sea. True or not, we will never know but makes it all the more tragic.
Audrey, one of the perks about Sam's "fashion sense" is there is NO chance you are gonna lose him randomly in some crowd, indistinguishable from locals.....:-)
Thanks a lot for the video! I will be visiting Napoli next month! I was wondering.. So in other words.. isn't it better to rent a car from Napoli to do both Vesuvius and Pompeii? Considering you could rent a car for maybe 40/euros per day at the airport? Im just wondering about parking at Vesuvius and Pompeii. Thanks again!
Footwear issues? I thought the lack arch support on Audrey's shoes would be the issue, not slipping and sliding on ice. The new jacket was a good call. Waiting on new shoes to keep her feet healthy, warm and safe. One pair to conquer every situation.
I like your videos very much, you are so nice! Im'm going to Naples in April so your videos are very helpfull, thank you. What is the address the pizzeria you ate after Vesuvio?
I see you arrived in Portici but you walked in the inferior road almost narrow sea and some alleys. If you had walked the main street you had seen the King of Naples Summer Palace in Portici. Check Google for Reggia di Portici. Today it is 14 of March for me writing the comment and two weeks ago we had the biggest snow since 1956. You got no lucky about it and about ice on the Vesuvius road. You can experience we in Naples are totally unprepared to snow and ice. Very different situation from Canada. 🤗

i was thinking either SE Asia cos it's so cheap or Eastern Europe as it's close to the UK. so it'd be good to be close to home for a 1st trip.
I have spent a week watching your videos...you guys are really charming and I like your dad too! I travel quite a bit and so it is a gentle pleasure to just sit back and watch your videos!
Thank you very much Dolli!
What an incredible day! This is the kind of day trip I love taking.
Thanks! Same with us :)
What a beautiful trip. The Vesuvius looks incredible. And that pizza... just as it should be in Italy.
Thank you! We really enjoyed visiting this area of Italy :)
What a wonderful experience, and the views are just beautiful. It is sad but fascinating at the same time, that is definitely one place for the bucket list. That was quite the hike as well LOL, you will have some fantastic stories to tell your kids in the future.
Thank you! We'd highly recommend visiting both :)

I really like the new background music! The cuts during the video synchronized with the music very well too, quite enjoyable.
Thank you very much!
What a perfect day! Gorgeous video!
Thank you! We sure had fun that day.
I will fall in love with your movies :) I very like Italy so wow ! Keep doing it !!
Thank you :)
Love your videos! Instantly subscribed. I live near the Amalfi coast and I appreciated so much your vlogs! Hugs from Italy xx
Thank you very much!
Herculaneum is very interesting, I liked it a lot. And the pizza, wow, everytime you show these huge and delicious Italian pizzas, my mouth waters LOL
Thank you! It was a really interesting day combining both things and we've been eating a bit too much pizza lately ;) LOL
Me and my twin sister enjoy and appreciate yours videos and we wish happiness follows you both, wherever y'all may go. 💖💙
Thank you very much!
I love Naples!! Can't wait to see your thought about it. Also we miss you guys over on Instagram!
Thank you! We loved it as well. Pizza and a guide coming out soon. We've been a bit lazy on instagram lately ;)

6.15 non si può sbagliare ......... magnifico !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🍕👏🇮🇹
Sam and Audrey are like one of my favorite couples in the world.
I hope one day I can travel and see as much as they do.
Thank you very much!
Soo cool. I really enjoyed it! Thank you! 😊😊😊😊
Thank you very much!
Great videos myself and my wife are going to sorrento next September, your videos are fun and informative kind regards Wayne
Thank you very much! That is exciting to hear.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos can’t wait
Could you please include a trip to Sicily this time as my wife & I have holiday booked there in September & would appreciate your impressions? I love your videos & recommend them to my friends frequently. Have fun guy's, hope you are getting rich & famous as you go along. Kind regards.
Thank you very much! Oh, we'd love to visit Sicily but I don't think we'll get around to it soon unfortunately.

Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos glad you enjoyed! 😊
Just wondering what were the queues like to Pompeii and Herculaneum like in March x can’t wait to visit soon x
Good question! Can anyone with experience help with that?

When did you guys visit italy?
Hello, I am going to naples in a few days and I want to visit pompeii and mount versuvius and the info on line is not enough at all, please help me
There’s a boy called Tranio and he lived in 79 A.D. he lived in Naples 😊
Intersting to hear!
Where did you guys stayed? Love the video, poor Canadians dealing with ice roads, I amaze they didn't have chains on the tires??
You need to take a Yak Tracks with you. Slip onto any shoes for ice traction.
Those would have come in very handy for this trip!
you guys are great love from Dublin : )
Thank you! :)

You and the ice was funny! I hate when we have that here in Toronto.
Hahaha...thanks! You get a lot of that in TO!
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos it's not as much like Montreal and Ottawa.
Hi there, what month did you made this visit? We are planning to go there in February and hope it’s not that cold for us.
Thank you for talking about the price of tickets.
Thanks! We try to mention the prices when we remember.
How much time did it take you n what was your starting point?
I love u guys videos... Please share about what place you stay in Sorrento.
I am going there in august and I would love any tips or where to stay. Thank you.
Thanks! We stayed in Pompei and took a train to visit. Would recommend that if you're looking to save money.
Nice journey.
Thank you!
What’s the name of train did u take? From Naples going to Herculaneum
.
That looks a lot better than the over touristy Pompeii
It was much smaller and not nearly as packed.
What city did y’all stay? I planned on staying in Naples and taking a bus to Pompeii
If we have to choose between Pompeii and Herculaneum, what site should we go for and why?
I'd have to say Pompeii. It is a much larger area to explore.
It has been speculated that the skeletal remains are of those who managed to get out from the town (interior/centre) and were so very close to safety, but in the end could not escape out to sea. True or not, we will never know but makes it all the more tragic.
Indeed, it was tragic.
Audrey, one of the perks about Sam's "fashion sense" is there is NO chance you are gonna lose him randomly in some crowd, indistinguishable from locals.....:-)
Space Shadow yeah , his top reminds me of Yugoslavia Olympic team
Hahaha....it's like Where's Wally?
LOL
I am glad that I am not the one who noticed it.
The real paradise is Italy.......forza Italia!!!
Italy is incredible for sure!
@@samuelandaudrey you guys are awesome love u guys from BD

Thank you! That could be a great option as it gives you control over the trip. Both places are not that big so parking should not be an issue.
Great vid as usual guys! So the Herculaneum is pretty much a graveyard then? And you guys like margarita pizza a lot! lol 😝 🍕
Thank you! Oh, we've been eating way too much pizza...haha ;)
Hello. Thanks for the uploads and all the tips. Going there Apr 2019. Herculaneum worth it?
Thank you! We really think it is worth it :)
Love your videos! Although you have been making me crave pizza everyday lol
Thank you! Our biggest pizza video is coming out on Saturday :)
You can order them from Walmart for $17.95 and they are compact! Yak Tracks!
Woah! That's a deal.
Is it better to tour alone rather than with tour guides?
If you are short on time maybe it is better.
@@samuelandaudrey thanks that's very helpful.
Footwear issues? I thought the lack arch support on Audrey's shoes would be the issue, not slipping and sliding on ice. The new jacket was a good call. Waiting on new shoes to keep her feet healthy, warm and safe. One pair to conquer every situation.

What is the address the pizzeria you ate after Vesuvio?
impressionante pensare che sono passati quasi 2.000 anni ......................... e che organizzazione c'era già ai tempi
È vero!
lol, okay what’s with just pizza? The region where you are have some of the best seafoods, and I know eating all that cheese isn’t good for Sam, lol.
Thanks! Ah, way too much pizza of late...lol We regret not trying more seafood.
Guys since you are nearby, consider visiting Tunisia 😊
Thanks, we'd love to!
I enjoyed herc way more then pompeii. Was a bit more built up with 2 storie buildings.
That is cool to hear. Less crowded as well?
I see you arrived in Portici but you walked in the inferior road almost narrow sea and some alleys.

More pizza? You can't do this to us, we have rarely access to pizza here in Thailand😩😀
Sorry about that! ;)
Nice dear 🤗🤗
Thanks
He is a lucky guy to have Audrey as his girl friend.
?
1:21 NOOOOOOO It's prohibited to cross the rails!
I'd be nervous over a 5 min pizza 😂
hehe
....Pizza in Napoli.....Im not jealous....nopppe, 🙈
Thanks! ;) Our big pizza video is coming out soon where we try pizza at 5 different pizzerias in Naples.
I'll make sure to watch that 🙂
those skeletons are new, 20 yrs ago all covered in mud!
It's napule ..in the Neapolitan language
Audrey... You are so beautiful
thanks
I am from Salerno and you have to come in my city as soon as possible.. There is a lot of things to visit. 👋👋👋👋
next time buy campania arte card. much cheaper
thanks
:-)
:)
che bona!
Do what you like at home but when in Italy DON'T eat pizza with your hands. Only kids under six would do so.
Amazing 😍
Thanks!
