One thing bro missed that i wanted to add. A few days ago my prius 2007 suddenly gave me a red traingle error(battery error) with check engine light, yellow abs sign, a yellow exclamation mark and the handbrake sign. The car couldn't be placed on D, R or B. The only gear that worked was the N. The mechanic who came to fix the car removed a cell from that orange thing that's attached to the hybrid battery cleaned it up and placed it back inside fixed the error.
Mine won't start and go Into drive either, stays into park and neutral everything else light up alot of code came up cells or all good when trying to start computer keep clicking
tell me more bc thats happening to me, i recently got it fixed for a oxygen sensor and throttle body+sensor, my car still wont start unless i removed the negative terminal for 30 sec and put it back and it starts and runs, but i actually ended up clearing the codes and the triangle is still on, i dont have a code to replace the battery or anything maybe a cell too ?
nice Take a trip to glastonbury ct,ive had the 2004 for 19 yrs 210000 Its silver and looks/clean good , not all beat up, did brakes/tuneup waterpump/02 sensors- everything maintenance, im looking at a 2020 le 2wd now with 6000 miles i might buy- get ready 4 beach season THX 4 the response
are u interested in the 2004 ? its all stock new toyota brakes/water pump- hankook st tires- it runs but the motor goes crazy like i explained- look good /clean had left front fender replaced in 04 when it was new

so my 04 prius starts - all lights on dash come on - the cooling fan runs constant, if i put it in drive the engine revvs and the car will move forward but not enough to drive it- if i put it back in PARK the idle goes back to normal- fans stay on the whole time ? Any ideas PLEASE HELP ?
my 2004 second gen prius made some weird noises , now it wont fully go into drive- it seems like it slips & wines-- when i try reverse same thing barely slowly trys to moves , Like its not engaging all the way- the dash lights and triangle all come on ? Can you help ? any suggestions ?? Please help THANKS
@@carhub2178 no noise, it goes into drive and reverse- but jus tugs & slips a bit- its like its not fully engaged- triangle and all dash warning lights are on , motor runs fine - revs a little high MYSTERY ?? what do u think ?
If the hybrid cells are not very bad it will still be able to start but if you keep driving with the hybrid battery light on it could really damage it. Also the hybrid battery light could be on for other reasons. Not just a bad hybrid battery
Maybe depends "how bad" it is? LOL. Mine would drive normal for like 1M then go into limp mode. If I turned car off for 30 min then it would "run again"...for another 1mile...

@@carhub2178hey man my 05 Prius ran out of gas and after refilling the tank when I started it up the car isn’t fully starting up and just showing all the check lights. Can you please help me out
no theres no rattles ? just how i explained previous Its gone crazy It wont let me read the codes, May b its the computer bad or inverter/some electronic safety module- When u read all my symptoms ? uve never had something similar? THX 4ur time
i sold it it was an 04 with 210000 I bought a 2020 le fwd w/6000 miles for 25000$ with a lithium ion battery, i run it in ECO mode- Its averaging 67-70 mpg all the time combined driving IM AMAZED plus how much more quiet it is, My 04 averaged 45-48 & its 1.5 was noisy@@RogerPack

For what years? Mines a 2010 and we tried everything, replaced so many things fuel lines injectors both batteries

Have to hook it up to a code reader and see what it’s saying. Is it making any rattles when you put it in gear?

Well, The orange components may contain dangerous voltage.
My gen 3 starts right away despite having code replace hybrid battery ,why ?
If the hybrid cells are not very bad it will still be able to start but if you keep driving with the hybrid battery light on it could really damage it. Also the hybrid battery light could be on for other reasons. Not just a bad hybrid battery

You probably burnt up the electric fuel pump in the gas tank as the fuel in the tank cools it...
