The "Shin" Of Godzilla has to be the best line imo. Smooth reference/nice pun. Whole thing is pretty funny. Good place to ask. Hope you can check out the MonsterVerse, Shin or even Godzilla Minus One even. Just good entry points to the franchise imo. I mean you don't have to just suggesting. Also if Beth doesnt care for serious Godzillas I do think Godzilla Vs. Megalon would win her over. Seems like something she'd dig ngl. With King Kong I gotta say the 2005 one is the best however.

I'd actually love Godzilla or King Kong reactions as well. Dragon Ball fandoms tend to overlap with Godzilla so its likely you will like the two. The popular choice is Godzilla Minus One , Shin or the MonsterVerse. But you could go for something sillier or lighthearted and watch Godzilla Vs. Megalon or Godzilla Vs. Gigan. King Kong doesn't have as many movies but he has a solid one in the MonsterVerse and that Jack Black one that was mentioned it pretty good actually. Which I know is admittedly a big ask lol.

After Godzilla 2014 (the one that advertized that Hell out of Brian Cranston being in it even though he's killed off within 30 minutes) and Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters was released and had all the things fans were craving. More monster fights, the iconic music, and fan-favorites like Ghidora, Rodan, and Mothra. It bombed _hard._ Didn't make nearly as much as Skull Island did. Then Godzilla vs Kong came out and made a mind. During _lockdown._
I think Godzilla won this one for me. Kong had some solid bars but Godzilla was pretty consistent with his punchs through the entire battle. Plus throwing in the haiku was a nice touch.
This one is so close for me they both had super hard hitting lines and creative bars and amazing references. For me Godzilla won for with the Jussie Smollett line & the haiku I also love the triple he did in his 3rd verse. But Kong made in close with the 0-2 bar and him using sign language in a bar was absolutely incredible

The only problem with that is Kong only has three films, the original from the 30's, the one from the late 70's early 80's and the one from the 2000's, Godzilla has 50-60+ movies and for a time the only one released theatrically outside of Asia was the 1954 film because of a US embargo over its anti-nuclear stance. it wasn't till the late seventies that they were even aired in other countries on TV as part of a creature double feature but still racked up huge sums at the Asian box offices. If one added up the 70 years worth of ticket sales and video purchase and merchandise of which Godzilla has a huge market of it squashes Kongs success. And to say that there are more Kong fans than Godzilla is ridiculous in and of itself, especially when you only offer an opinion unsupported by facts or poll to even validate such a claim. As for the bar about needing King Kong that is bullshit cause Kong has been dormant since his last solo movie while Godzilla has been releasing film after film that has been in theaters all over the world Toho is was very selective about western releases because of how the western 98 movie and anime flopped which they say as damaging to their IP. Prior to the 1998 release the only film Godzilla film released in America was Godzilla 1985 and even it was lacking in box office sales cause it's fan base in the states consisted of kids and young teens who would need their parents to take them to see it who weren't fans of it themselves.
