The change from B major to heavy riffing in C sharp minor is very stylishly done. It changes the direction of the song - from pretty upbeat and dreamy to very dark - without sounding forced or dissonant. Superb musicians. Overall, it is surely one of their best songs.

And yes this music is like a time machine for our minds. A much needed escape from the 24/7 psychological warfare.
The Feelings I get from old school music like this feels like a warm cozy security blanket.
I would not have survived my life, but especially the last 4 years without my music and art. I am working on all sorts of playlists on my RUclips channel.

Time has seemed to have accelerated - the nineties, seemed to have started so normally, blink, I finished High School, blink again it was the year 2000 - Sydney Olympics. Blink again, I'm a Dad. Blink again I have two teenage girls and am building Lego listening to this awesome song.
Sometimes it makes me cry, that I didn't just stop and soak in those years. All in the pursuit of an education, job, money. I feel like I have somewhat wasted those years - just to go back to the mid nineties as a young man and enjoy myself a little bit more. I suppose they call it melancholy.

I hear you man. Finished high school in 97 - grunge and post grunge was the defining music. Listened to Faith No More and Foo Fighters at uni. Now it's 20 years later I have a wife and kids and I'm in my 40s. THAT went fast.

this still leaves me speechless after all these years.... in fact all of their work; I hope he gets better... we need voices and attitudes towards music and songwriting like Mike's

This song sounds unique, even in their diverse catalog. The powerhouse rhythm section of Gould and Bordin create a hypnotic effect. Pure magic.

I don't know why this song and this film clip have stuck with me so many years later. I first saw this as a kid in my mid teens and as a man in his 40s, it still resides in my mind.

This song gives me goosebumps...then the video doubly so. Brilliant filming and editing. How we see something one way and make an assumption only to learn we really knew nothing at all.
