let's just say Palestine... wouldn't last one day there and would beg to come home. Many areas on the globe, INCLUDING the elected officials (Hamas) truly HATE Americans. Like, truly HATE us. Not like, "I hate fast food". Real hate.
Today, I would argue MOST legal immigrants are more patriotic than the loudest (most active on the Internet) people. I feel the "loudest" people are usually way less than 10% of the country - the other 90%+ have real life things to worry about like family, health, finances, WORK, etc - they aren't on Twitter all day because they are earning money to pay taxes that (usually) the very blue states waste on woke programs. @@lizroberts1569 While it is true that she is from a country where oppression is endemic, it is important to realize that distance between freedom and oppression is very short. We like to think that it "won't happen to us". Yet it is already happening, just so slowly that most don't realize, and the Overton Window has shifted so much that most thinks that today is the natural and proper. It isn't.
Our Politicians are already our betters, being able to get away with things that we cannot (for instance, Congress can legally do inside trading), regulations which extend to every aspect of our lives, our ability to speak is being muted, etc..
We won't likely turn to tyranny tomorrow, but we are well on the way there. Results of which are obvious and people from Communist countries such as her, or I, have seen it, and lived it.
It's a warning that for most is unheeded, and those who do understand, are in vast minority, in most cases being called "Radicals" or "Extremists" and thereby ignored (As if either is by itself a bad thing).

So I don’t judge them so harshly … yes, they are “adults” under the law, but the government which permits them to drink at a certain age, and fight in wars at a certain age, and be able to take on adult responsibility at a certain “ legal” age, then don’t prepare them for that responsibility…do a disservice to these young people…and because these who are “teaching” them hold themselves above reproach and to no accountability at all, to anyone, because they believe themselves ABOVE ANY standards set by those they consider far beneath them. (I.e., like the “straw man” / “farmer” in the wizard of oz…who kept saying, “if I only had a brain”…which is the common disparagement of country folk, (was then, and is now), and the people who worked in industry (tin man) who kept saying “if I only had a heart”. Maybe that was meant for the industrialists, but the blame was always laid at the feet of the workers. Same thing happened with people who came back from the Vietnam war. They were mandated to go to war against people who they didn’t even know, or be put in prison by people who they likely didn’t vote for. This wasn’t their Idea.

I was once proud of my country, and I'm sad to say that my pride is dwindling. Our people are behaving like idiots and allowing media and universities to change how we think. We're more concerned with the next big celebrity and tiktok trend than we are with taking care of our actual country and keeping it as strong as it has been. I won't pretend that we don't have issues that have been around for a long time, cause we definitely do, but these issues shouldn't be so damaging to our society that we have to be so absolutely divided. My dad talks about how when he was a teen, there were democrats and Republicans, and they disagreed, but their disagreements were minor and their values were basically the same. The main difference between the right and the left back then was how they thought you should handle the issues. Now it's literally arguments about one side wanting to let anyone into the country without any processing, and the other side saying that's a good way of letting drugs and violent criminals into the country. One side is trying to kill babies, and the other is saying killing babies is morally wrong and goes against our rights as Americans. There's no way to compromise with these arguments. The left has gone so far left that the independents are now considered right winged. It's absolutely ridiculous! Everything I see talking about right wing extremists, they look like regular people! All of the people on the left are extremists, and the ones who aren't, they aren't really leftists. It's heartbreaking that our country could be so easily divided, and that people are being so easily brainwashed. Most don't even know how much the media is influencing them. RUclips is influencing us. Tiktok is influencing us. You never really notice because you're just scolling to get another dose of dopamine. To say you're not being influenced is a complete lie. I'm being influenced all of the time, but at least I strive to form my own opinion, all while acknowledging that my own opinion isn't even really my own. I do look to specific creators to give me answers on politics, but I am trying to form my own opinions based on the facts that are provided. It's not easy anymore to listen to the facts when so many media sources are just lying to us all. They don't even try to hide it anyone because they know the people will believe it anyway. They don't have to do anything more than say one person did something and the people will have a riot over it. At this rate, we're not even looking at what someone actually does, we just see the label of their political party and start hating them. Lies upon lies upon lies. I don't know how this will change in the future, but I sure hope it doesn't end like it did for the Roman Empire.

My parents and I fled Communist Poland when I was roughly 3 years old and came to the US when I was almost 10...my younger sister was born in Libya. They took contracted positions in Libya and while there they applied to come to US as political refugees. We waited about 18 months in Greece while we waited for everything to be processed and finalized...I remember when we were flying to Greece our plane took a detour and stopped in Poland to deliver someone to the military police...I remember the look on my parents faces when my mother recognized where we had landed..the panic and terror on their faces is something I have never forgotten...I remember my mother handing my baby sister to the person sitting across from us and telling me to sit next to them and not to speak in polish no matter what. If anyone asked me anything I was to speak only arabic, especially if they were taken off the plane...I was confused and terrified by how frightened my parents were...fortunately the soldiers came for someone else...these children, because that's what they are, have no idea about the horrors they're advocating for...they should all do a semester abroad in some of these places and maybe then they'd finally understand how misguided their ideas truly are..

@DanieRoss-rk2gx I don't think her being anti BLM means she doesn't like black people. She's against the people using movements just like BLM to take advantage of the people's compassion, not sure if you know but I don't know the whole story but basically the person who who started BLM got in trouble for using all the money everyone donated for themselves only and didn't use the money to help the people it was intended for. In this video she talked a lot about avoiding big corporations because they are manipulating people and brainwashing kids.

I’ve always believed if someone becomes an actual American citizen, they’re ten times more patriotic than me. Do half of you even know how much work it takes to get here? Or to be a citizen? Count your blessings… you could be her. Be lucky you’ve even touched a cook book. Be the change YOU want to see. Everyday is a new day.

I appreciate this young lady for coming here and telling the truth as hard as it may be for her. Thank you young lady. I hope you get to go to every college campus. I wouldn't be surprised to see them saying racist things about her either, with the way they cry about supposed microagressions or dogwhistles and then make overtly genocidal comments like "from the river to the sea".

If you have an argument with a westerner who supports socialism and ask them to show an example of even one country where socialism has been a big success, they will either have no answer and reference a country that is not actually socialist.

I lived in socialism as a kid. We had beds and hot showers and cook books and food. Also TVs and telephones and toys and cars, even computers. There was no organ harvesting. I'm not saying it was great but it was fine. North Korea has nothing to do with socialism, it's some kind of insane military monarchy, a hybrid dictatorship like no other.

Yeonmi Park - this lady is a complete inspiration: this is the type of education woke students and woke politicians should be listening to. A voice from beyond the dark depths of North Korea, from the depths of poverty who appreciates everything in a land of freedom. The only way such freedoms can be protected is to stop illegal migration, multiculturism fairytale dreams; and prevent woke students and politicians from driving a rhetoric which lives only to destroy western culture, freedoms and way of life.
Listen to Yeonmi Park: she has lived through hell, and clearly sees the freedoms western countries are throwing away so blatantly through politicians and colleges/ student bodies being funded by nefarious regimes.

My mom is from El Salvador and my dad is from Argentina. I remember I was upset about a racial slur someone said to me when I was a kid and I thought my mom would be as angry as I was. She didn’t even bat an eye because she dealt with much worse from people. My mom gave me the best lesson. She told me not to give that person what they wanted, they wanted to upset me. What else did they gain? Nothing. El Salvador’s government was so corrupt they offered money for any rebels reported but they wouldn’t investigate if the tip was true or not. If you pissed off your neighbor, or they needed money, or both, they would call the cops and report you as being a rebel and cops would barge into your home and take family members away. My grandpa had to burn their copy of Che’s book in case someone saw it and reported it because the cops would have killed my grandpa if they entered the house and saw that on the spot. I don’t have that struggle here. I’m very grateful to live in a country where I have more rights than I even realize compared to other countries. It’s far from perfect, but it really could be sooooo much worse.

There is a documentary I watched recently about people trying to escape Northern Korea. One of the women who did get out talks about how families have to save and contribute their own poop to provide fertilizer for the government. And it is someone else's job to collect it and bring it to farms. It is absolutely horrifying to think about.
