Great Teacher Onizuka (グレート・ティーチャー・オニヅカ Gurēto Tīchā Onizuka?), conocido también como GTO (ジーティーオー Jī Tī Ō?), es un spin-off del manga Shounan Jun'ai Gumi de Tōru Fujisawa, en el cual el personaje de Eikichi Onizuka era un delincuente junto a su mejor amigo, Ryuji Danma, quien además era el narrador de la historia. En este manga, el autor decidió elegir a Onizuka como protagonista y meterlo en el papel menos esperado, profesor. Fue premiado con el premio Kōdansha al mejor manga en 1998 en la categoría shōnen. También cuenta con una secuela llamada GTO; Shonan 14 Days, que relata la historia ocurrida en los 14 días después del incidente con el profesor Teshigawara, los cuales no salieron en el manga original. La historia cuenta con adaptaciones a series de anime y a dos series rodadas en imagen real.
