To be honest we have the s type cat back with Black tip but I want to swap the atak in jt
😂
My big time fan of the borla sound/tone.
Have an XR1 on my 4th gen, It sounds very "truck-like", deep, rumbles at idle and growls at WOT.
I knew I was going to get a full system this time, I'll probably watch these a few hundred times to decide!
The “ Touring “ is spot on in my opinion !
You must have a vagina then cause atak is the only option worth getting
Luis Flores different strokes for different folks
Luis Flores disagree
Luis Flores sounding off your exhaust like a douche only speaks volumes of ones compensation.
Luis Flores I have to disagree with you
Absolutely love the Borla Touring! Gives the perfect sound when you want it the most (in my opinion). Definitely am gonna trying to install one if I get my dream American half ton truck 2019-22 RAM 1500 Laramie 4X4 5.7 HEMI.
I learned it does little good to listen to these videos. I put the Atak on my 2019 ram and was still shocked at how loud it is. But the sound is so clean that I love it!
Videos never do the sound justice :)
How is it driving highway speed? I drive a lot with my kids and don't want it to be loud if they want to sleep
@@c-hd5696 only gets loud if you get on the gas hard. Just cruising down the road it isn't too loud at all. Probably help them sleep.
Borla makes exhausts that make V8's sound like V8's
A v8 sounds like a v8 regardless of the exhaust type
@@bonillabros9613 def not true....you must drive a 6 cylinder 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Really? waooo .... lol
So do straight pipes and that costs you $300 at a local exhaust shop
Not unless you want pay 1000$+ for an exhaust
THANK YOU....now thats how you sell SOUND. My truck with a-b-c exhaust back to back runs!!! I NOW KNOW EXACTLY which system I will purchase. (Atak) ;)
Amazing sound
Touring it is , placing order tomorrow
I own a 2021 rebel without the e-torque. Watched this video and wasn't sure if I wanted the Atak or S-type. Pulled the trigger on the Atak and NO REGRETS!!! No drone and cruising down the interstate at 80mph was mellow, wasn't so loud as to affect the stereo! Cold start immediately plasters a smile on your face! And dropping the hammer let's that Hemi announce it's presence! Muffler shop installed it under 2 hours. You only live once, so live!!!!
Would having the Etorque option make a difference? I just bought a 2021 1500 Lonestar Built to Serve edition.
@@RudyJG1981 no. The MDS still shuts down half the cylinders.
When starting is it loud enough that neighbors would get pissed? Hard to judge how loud it is in a RUclips video.
@thefinder808 no! Initially has the loud bang for couple seconds then calms down at idle
I've got the Borla 147052BC which is the S type with black chrome tips. I love it! Sounds really nice when you start it yet is still suddel when you're cruising or idling in a parking lot. I would reccomend it. Defenitly a Borla customer for life.
Suddel?
@@mikefelton1482 It depends actually. I've had it for 3 months now and I think it's perfect for my application. As it gets colder, the truck cold starts get quite loud at 5 in the morning as I head to work. But it quietens down after the RPMs drop. During the 5 minute drive to the highway, I take it easy as I'm still sleepy, but once I get on the highway, the motor is warm and it isn't super loud. That is, until you step on it! Theres some days I wish I got the Atak but I know I will get tickets so it just isn't worth it. S type is the perfect middle ground IMO.
@@mikefelton1482 lol
Do you recoment the S-type or Atak.. im undecided..
@@karanmakhija do you recomend the S-type or the Atak im undecided…
Last week I bought a 21 Ram 1500 with what I presume to be stock exhaust...very quiet, which simply won't do. Just ordered the S-Type! By most accounts here, it roars when you get on it, but not uncomfortable in the cab during average driving. I was going to get the Touring, out of consideration for my neighbors...but they will get over it...or move. LOL!
The attack is the best
I got a Borla xr1 muffler with resonators removed behind the tips and it sounds better than any of these three.. also the drone is there but not loud enough to be bothersome.
Need the attack for the longbed crewcab now
Une petite ligne BORLA atak pour réveiller un peu ce V8👍
Nice comparison. Would be great to see a switchable option.
The S-type sounds like a G63 AMG
Like the S-Type and the Atak!
Looks like I may be going Stype!
Love the sound, just wish you had something for the 2500 5.7
In a touring for towing
I have borla on my 2016 supercharged ram it’s sounds gnarled as hell
What kind of supercharger? Any issues?
Very nice borla
When do you guys plan on bringing the ATAK out for the 2019 6.2L GM trucks? The ram sounds aggressive as hell with even the s-type, awesome systems!!
Thank you for reaching out! We do not currently have a release date as we have not brought the truck in for R&D, but we will definitely be offering systems for the 2019 6.2L Silverado/Sierra.
I love my SRT Jeep but a Ram is callin my name
TheRealDirtyDan why not both?
It’s what I did. Traded in my 15 Jeep SRT for a 19 Ram Rebel 12
Same. In love with the blacked out Limited.
Im debating if to trade in my rt for a 1500. Im 50/50
This is going to go great with my supercharger I'm installing on my 2019 Ram Limited
i have the same pickup. just curious , whar supercharger you putting on it. I have been considering doing one to mine.
How much did the supercharger cost and what was it called? I just bought a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited and definitely interested. Most importantly did it void warranty?
@@ryanneyland2997 a supercharger is DEFINITELY going to void your warranty for your at least your drivetrain lol.
I think u can't put a supercharger because if the e torque on the limited, u would have to do turbos
Ordered the ATAK... then watched a bunch of videos and returned it for the S-Type. I want that bite but also don’t want to turn my new truck into a truck series ride! 😂
How did it work out for you? I was thinking the same thing.
@@Fulcra the s-type are fantastic. Perfect mix of noise when your on it… and not obnoxious taking the family places. Essentially loud when you want it to be.
@@coyotestickers nice! Thanks man, I think I’m going to go with that one. Sounds like exactly what I’m looking for.
It would be nice to see stock decibel levels along with each Borla exhaust - it's hard to gauge sound level over speakers... but the tones are nice. Aside from the lower growl, are there any performance improvements in HP, Torque, or MPG? I just picked up a new style ram rebel with the 5.7 etorque, and really considering the touring exhaust. It's a hard buy for just sound, but if there are performance increases it makes it worth it for me. Any videos showing it pared with a CIA? I'd imagine that brings up the volume a bit... but does it change the tone?
In our testing, on a vehicle with no other modifications, part numbers 140758 averaged 98.8 dBs, 140752 averaged 100.3 dBs, and 140753 averaged 105.3 dBs. Test standard SAE J1492 was used to obtain these measurements. Please note these tests were performed on a vehicle that was completely stock with the exception of Borla Cat-Back systems. Unfortunately, we don’t have the stock exhaust measurement.
You aren’t going to gain much power with a Cat-Back exhaust alone, you’re looking at 10-12 horsepower with our systems. Any gains in gas mileage would be negligible. You may hear your engine more in the cabin with an intake, but it does not affect the sound of the exhaust. I'm afraid we don’t have a video of the truck with a cold air intake and our exhaust.
Definitely shldve did all four from in the cabin. And how do you take the restrictor off? Rpm won't go past 4000. Really doesn't give you the full get up and go like my 07
If you are considering these pass on them. I ordered the Borla ATAK in September of 2021 from my Corvette dealer. They did not arrive until a/4/22. It was so long I decided not install these and had found another product available. Borla with not having even made them yet refused to cancel the order. Grudgingly, I had them installed and low and behold it has an issue that generates a sound like you have a fan belt that is loose. So now I have to order a replacement for 3 to 5 months from now while driving what sounds like a souped up '72 Vega. The candle on top of the icing is that Borla will not pay for the require labor to remove their faulty product and install the new set. They do not have good customer service and will not support you their customer.
Hi, I'm sorry to hear about the long wait for your new exhaust and that it seems to be defective! All Borla Cat-Backs are covered by a Million-Mile manufacturer’s warranty and we would be glad to send you a replacement system. If I may ask, were you working directly with one of our Customer Service team members or your parts distributor for a replacement? We always recommend contacting us directly for issues with our products. Please reach out to our Customer Service Manager for help getting a replacement system and to discuss potential reimbursement. His email address is ChrisB@Borla.com. Again, I apologize for inconvenience and trouble. We'll get you taken care of. Thank you.
Just purchased the Borla S for my 2022 Ram 1500. I think it will have just the right amount of growl & loudness.
Did you get it installed yet? If so how do you like it so far? Im looking to get one

No I never yet. I plan on getting a afe soon.
Anyone know the stock weight of a 2019 ram 1500 exhaust system next to the Borla?
I know these are marked “No Drone” but would still love to see an interior shot with MDS on
That's what I was thinking. My 17 has the Flowmaster Outlaw system on it and it sounds great... Until MDS kicks in. Then it's overly annoying. I shut it off a lot of times.
I had a 2015 (8spd) 5.7 with 3.92 gears and the Borla. Literally no drone. I have had good luck with only Corsa and Borla on my V8's.
I use manual shifter to keep it in 8th gear and MDS doesn't come on.
to me there's "drone" which is a monotonous frequency coming into cab when cruising, and the MDS sound which is more like a FBI helicoptor following you around...both bad, but while better exhausts eliminate drone, it's almost impossible to fully eliminate MDS without deleting or disabling it.
I know my comment is 2 years old but for anyone who might run into this: it really isn't a thing. MDS doesn't sound any different besides being a little more quiet. I really enjoy mine (part 145702)
Does this mean that the 2013-2018 Ram 1500 has an ATAK system now?
No resonators?
My neighbor got Magnaflow on his 18 1500 and it sounds a little bit louder than factory should have got the Atak do it once do it right!
I just got the s-type for my 2020 RAM
Can any of your exhaust systems work on the 2019 v6 ram classic?
Hello! Unfortunately, we don't have an exhaust system for the 2019 RAM 1500 3.6L. Sorry about that!
I would have but i travel to far to work and back
Is borla going to make any exhaust line that will fit on the tradesman edition (single exhaust tip)
Check out Gibson exhaust, they might.
Borla hook it up for my ecodiesel Ram.
Notice there are no videos showing the interior noise levels with any of the aftermarket exhaust options.
Hi. Thanks for reaching out! If you are concerned about interior resonance, we can assure you that our systems do not drone during cruise or when holding a constant speed. Thank you.
I cheaped out the first time by just having a 90$ muffler delete and it sounds OK but I have some drone and am looking to go Atak instead. Does the Atak come with the black tips? Forgot to mention its a 2020 rebel crew cab.
Yes, the ATAK system is available with black chrome tips. If you plan to order, we recommend ordering online from one of our dealers as they'll have the better price. They're about 10% off of MSRP. You'll find links to some of our dealers on our product page. Please see link to ATAK with Black Chrome tips below.

Would the s type or atak fit on a 2020 ram rebel crew?
Yes! Our systems will also fit the Rebel trim.
They’re all great, but prices just went up on all of them.
Is it possible to have the borla atack on a ram 1500 from 2017. Because I can’t find it on the site.
Hi! Unfortunately, we don't have an ATAK system for the previous generation RAM 1500 5.7L. Sorry!
TAKE MY MONEY!
On a scale of 1-10, how loud would you say the s-type is?
Awesome! I got mine and it's a 11!
was this video made with all the resinators removed & just the cats & borla muffler
The systems in this video are Cat-Back systems specifically designed for the 2019+ 5th generation RAM 1500 5.7L. Our exhaust systems retain the factory catalytic converters.
Trying to decide between the S-Type and ATAK. Hate drone in the cab, noticeable more with any of the 2?
Hi! Our systems are tuned and will not drone. There is no drone with any of the sound levels.
Do you have any plan to develop an exhaust system for the new Wagoneer who has the same 5.7 HEMI engine?
We do not have plans to develop an exhaust system for the Jeep Wagoneer at this time.
To all that has the Borla Atak how loud is it really in the cab? I have 21 Ram 3.92 gears and curious how it is cruising at 80. My older 2012 Ram just had a Super 44 muffler swap and that didn't bother me one bit. I'm assuming this won't be as bad for interior cab noise?
I just ordered this today. I’ll probably have this done within the next 2 weeks, so remind me then and I’ll answer your question.
@@brandonmininni6601 ??
How many decibels has the atak?
How is gas mileage affected? Other than a heavier foot so that everyone can hear that sweet sound?
Hello! Assuming that your driving habits do not change from before installing the system, differences in gas mileage would be negligible.
Do you have the middle version for a 2019 ram 1500 classic 3.6
Hi. Unfortunately, we don't have exhaust systems for the previous generation RAM 1500 3.6L. Sorry about that!
Are there any performance gains in terms of HP or Torque? Or MPG?
No. If you want it to be more aggressive put a cold air intake on with a tune
Hi. Thank you for reaching out. You can expect a gain of about 7-10 horsepower and torque. In regards to MPG, you will not see any significant gains.
Is the difference between 140753BC and 140753 just a matter of the exhaust tips? Looking to purchase this exhaust in the next couple days for my crew cab 2019 Rebel.
Hello. Thank you for your interest! I do want to confirm that you have the new 2019 5th generation RAM and not the 2019 4th generation. This system is only for the 2019 5th generation. We have a different system for the 2019 4th generation.
@@borla I believe it's the 5th gen as it has the redesigned front end
If you have the new front end then you should have the 5th generation RAM. Yes, the only difference between 140753 and 140753BC are the tips. What is your cab and bed configuration? These systems will only fit the 144.6" wheelbase trucks which is the crew cab with short bed and quad cab with standard bed.
Any chance this works on a 2019 Ram Rebel model? Installed Borla ATAK on a 2018 Raptor and loved it. Would love to install on a 2019 Rebel if possible.
Perfectmadness, great question. If you find out before me, please let me know. I put a Flowmaster 44 on MY 2019 Rebel. It sounds good, but I'm seriously considering the Borla ATAK. And if so, either the muffler or the whole catback.
Hello! Yes, this will fit the 2019 RAM Rebel 5.7L as long as it is a crew cab with short bed or quad cab with extended bed. Thank you!
@@borla Mine is the 2019 Rebel with eTorque. If I did the Borla ATAK, would you recommend the muffler itself, or the whole cat back? I was told the cat back was basically replacing the old pipes with the new, but with this year model, I shouldn't need to do that.
This system will work for your truck as long as you have the 5.7L and not the 3.6L. Unfortunately, we do not sell the mufflers from our systems separately. This exhaust system is sold only as a cat-back system.
