(OSRS) Today on Oldschool RuneScape I challenged 16 RUclipsr/Streamers to a gigantic OSRS competition that lasted 5 consecutive days. All 16 OSRS creators were not able to leave the RuneScape island of Zeah for 120 straight hours to compete for 1,000,000,000 (1 Billion) OSRS GP. They were randomly split into two "tribes" of creators to battle to win 2 out of 3 judge categories: Total combined tribe bank value, total combined tribe total level, and a final PvP battle. This is the story of our last 5 days on RuneScape.
Rules:
No Trading outside of your tribe
No leaving the home world of 346
No alts, or help from any other account besides your tribe
No leaving Zeah AT ALL.

some little critisms:
1. why was it 5v7 in the final fights?
2. why didn't you actually reveal the total amounts of gp and total levels in graphics? we littereally watched 2 hour video and the way we found out who won was an off handed comment by one of the participants...
I think the "off handed comment by one of the participants..." explains why it was 5v7. They must have been told before the fight that the 2nd tribe won because of the previous 2 conditions, so they didn't need to show up to the fight, because the fight didn't matter? I think a great idea is to not access the bank values or total levels until after the fight, because people can level in the fight potentially and they can also gain/lose bank value if you treat it like it was wildy. This puts high importance on the team fight, because you can overtake the other team by taking from their bank value and adding to yours.

@@marmnjam maybe it wasn't referenced much in the video but the (orange boarder) tribe I was in (Tribal Lumb) was called the Hosidius Hustlers and the other tribe was called the Shayzien Gladiators I believe. But in the discord we just referred to each other as tribe 1 & 2! 😅😅😅
7 vs 5? What happened! Great concept, was fun to watch but the last 30 minutes could have been epic. Suspense, reveal of all the banks, different perspectives and reactions, a fair final fight

watched the whole vid so had to like it!
constructive criticism? Focus more on trying to make the audience like one or other team more, i watched for two hours and honestly couldnt tell you when i was watching a different tribe. They all had names that started the same so i couldnt differentiate one tribe from the other.
also, build suspense with the bank value and total levels, those where huge and we didnt even get to see totals. was kinda pointless to make them a winning factor if we didnt even get a reveal!
One team has green borders and the other orange. But.. I did just watch for about 10mins of only green names almost forget there was another team there. 😅
Yup, I couldn't agree more! Teams needed to be distinguished more so you could root for one of them to really hook people, it was just a little too hard to tell which team was which, so it fell just the tiniest bit short of hooking people.

you never said the final total levels between the tribes and you never showed the total bank value. Kind of missing some of the main reasons for the challenge lol
Would be nice to have a tally of team's total level and bank value at the end of each day so we can see progress! Also maybe doing all content from one tribe for the day, then all content from the other tribe for the day so we can more easily see what each team is doing.

It would improve this sort of challenge considerably if the add-on were modified such that it tracks the cumulative total level and total value and all in real-time so that the teams know the score and it also makes a great overlay so that we as viewers have an idea of the current score at a given time. I think it would make this sort of content which is a very cool idea considerably more compelling.

Edit: Like, I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but you made a video where a team needs to win 2/3 conditions, but then only show the PvP battle and not tell us about the stats of the total bank value and total skill level of the tribes. I WANNA KNOW THIS INFO DAMN IT!

@@Ricardo_Rick I was in the process of "moving" PCs and sadly most of my footage was lost. Only surviving clips were my "end of the day" progress for 2 days which weren't even too fruitful to begin with. Completely understandable. The rest of the crew had banging clips so better highlight those. Especially my best friend Dust.
@@KaozOSRS But surely someone has the stats for both tribe's skills and bank values still saved somewhere other than footage that could at least be mentioned in a pinned comment if nothing else. This was a competition for 3 separate categories and only seeing how the PvP one played out and not getting any info about the other 2 leaves a sour taste for what was a very fun competition to watch.

This was fantastic! I really loved it, and I'd absolutely *LOVE* to see something like this again, so I'm going to do my best to leave a helpful comment to make it even better!
I loved:
- The editting on this, it was fantastic having everything in one video, it all flowed perfectly and was just amazing. Truly amazing job on that!
- The length of this, it was great to get longer content like this instead of a ton of shorter videos, I'd love to see the same thing if you decide to do this again in the future!
- The large team concept, I'd love to see more stuff with tons of people like this, there's some stuff with 2 - 4 man teams, but nothing with huge teams like this
I would definitely change some stuff in the future too, though!
- Start the video off with a proper introduction! There was a bit of an explanation, but a proper introduction with each team clearly introduced would help set it up a lot more. Also, interesting names for both teams that are used in the video would help people make a better connection to them. I know each team did have names and they were mentioned a couple times, but it wasn't consistent and they weren't introduced well.
- More clearly indicate which team is which. I'd have loved for the highlighted names - the ones from Player Indicator above the characters' heads and on the minimap - to be a consistent colour - like an orange and a green team - and have every orange player's name in orange always and every green player's name in green always, so you can keep track of it easily while you're watching. The names were colour-coded in the top left, along with the portrait - which was a great move - but in the future it should be even more clearly indicated which team is which. By indicating it more clearly you let the people watching form a stronger connection with the team and people can more easily distinguish between them, so they care more. I found myself losing track of who was on which team a few times, which really makes everything a lot less impactful. Maybe faintly coloured borders around the edge of the screen? I'd play with it a bit, but you want someone who doesn't know anything about any of the people there to instantly be able to tell which team everyone is on, and which team the clip is from at any point in the video, without any prior context.
- Have a formal ending! I don't know what happened at the end there, but it was a mess and kind of disappointing! The pvp battle was kind of boring - though Dust running in the first fight and XMO in the second saved it for me, that was hilarious! I realize there was a big level and gear difference, but there were also people missing and it felt like there had to have been a better way to do that. The bank value and total level literally wasn't even shown at all? There should have been a final comparison of the values of each team's banks, and total levels for each person in a nice end card. The fact that it just kind of ended after watching and getting invested in the different teams for nearly two hours of my life was super disappointing.
- Don't let people look up other team's highscores and no checking other team's streams! It's impossible to keep everything totally quiet, and that's cool it's a fun competition not some huge important life or death thing, but it'd definitely be more interesting if people didn't kind of know what stats everyone had, what their general drops were, etc. So there could be more surprises, and so that spying on the other team could be a bigger thing.
- Maybe restrict playtime somewhat? I'm conflicted on this one though. I think it'd be way more fair if everyone got like x hours of playtime over the course of a week, or x hours per day, so you didn't get someone pulling 4 days and 5 hours, vs someone barely doing 2 days. But at the same time Buff grinding like crazy like that was super entertaining and it's not as if the option wasn't open to other people, he's just the only one that decided to seriously dig in and play like a lunatic. I'm not too sure how this would or should work though, honestly, but I think it might help with something like that pvp fight at the end being so utterly one-sided if people have to restrict themselves a little more and can't just make up for it with more playtime.
- More variations of this would be cool, too! I loved this region locked one, so I'd love to see more region locked versions of this in other regions, but you could also do other interesting twists that could be a ton of fun too, I think. As mentioned in the beginning of this, I'm not sure by who, but a pvp world version of this would be super interesting - difficult to do on a normal server, but if you could get a little private server for it from Jagex that'd be insanely fun to watch! Or you could do something like maybe locking the number of skills people can train, each person can only gain exp in however many skills. Or maybe you can only get to a certain total level and you have to figure out how to distribute those levels? There's a ton of cool challenges and restrictions people have come up with, and it'd be neat to see some of those cool ideas in this huge, group vs group, type of situation.
I seriously loved this, it was so much fun, thanks to everyone for taking the time to do this, and I really hope we can see more of this kind of stuff! I had quite a number of criticisms, but I hope it's clear that it's 100% because I loved this and I want it to be absolutely perfect so that more people love it and we can get even more of this!

A little constructive criticism, you should’ve turned this into like 8 or so episodes. Most people don’t want to watch 2 hours straight. You’d also make more money from ad revenue. Also, as others were saying you should edit what tribe we’re watching. Take a book out of soups editing in his current gilenor games. Either way man, I love this type of content. Keep it up!

Alot of criticism here. 1. There needs to be a better way to tell the difference between the teams. 2. The final fight was not balanced player wise which was not entertaining. 3. If you want it to be a challenge on skill and knowledge there needed too be a time limit for each player to play each day. Buff putting in 24+ hours more than most other people is alot of gp and exp that the others didnt get because they couldnt afford too no life for 5 days straight and never sleep. 4. Its more interesting too see the final combined gp and total levels and not just be told "oh yeah this team won".

Very good job overall, this as got tons of potential.
Some things to improve:
Spread this out in episodes and after all is done release one with everything like this one so people can choose.
Show the tribe of the current member we're spectating (also choose fun names, tribe 1 and 2 is meh)
Rotate more through the players even if they are doing small chores, sometimes i felt i was always watching tubby and dust
Choose better final competitions, one of the teams could had cheesed it and just went F the pvp challenge and go all out skilling and moneymaking
Maybe 16 people is too many people to keep track? Reduce to 10 maybe ( this is more of a personal opinion)
BUT has i said, it was very fun to watch and looking forward to the next one!

Really cool, I love having long videos like this to watch while afking, but as many other people have stated, gripes with the editing, with not showing bank values, and with the fight at the end.
This is the first video I've seen on your channel, but I'm subbing because I'm hoping to see another video like this with some improvements in the future.
1. Perhaps a transition when swapping to clips from another team? Like go 5-10 mins at a time per team with a transition between (for example, Link & Rargh do this with their videos, a quick flashy transition when swapping perspectives)
2. Clearer differences between tribes than just the border on their names (Like instead of Tribe 1 and Tribe 2, have them pick a name, and use that as a sort of clan tag instead of "Tribal")
3. More information on the gold. Benchmark each member and tribe's total gold at the end of each day. Make a graph showing comparing Tribe 1 and Tribe 2's total gold by the day, so we can see when teams took the lead or lost it, how close it was, etc. And you can compare individual member's gold to show biggest contributors.
4. Same as #3 but with total levels.
5. Award accolades at the end as well so we can see which individual members accomplished feats, like highest total level, most gold, rarest drop, highest time played, or other miscellaneous stats
6. Make it clear in the timeline when clips are happening. I remember seeing a clip where someone had 239 total level, and then a few clips later, the other tribe was bragging about how ahead their highest total level guy was, with 226. I'm wondering if these clips happening at the same time, relatively close to each other, or one was far before the other. As a viewer, I have absolutely no idea.
I know it's extra work and it's not easy, but seeing these kinds of improvements will make the next one an absolute banger. Looking forward to it!

Extremely enjoyable video to watch. I work graveyard at a prison as a correctional officer, and I literally spent my whole shift watching this. Only taking breaks to do tier checks and count the inmates. You made my night fly by!

Hey brother great video but my criticism would be:
Have an intro section with a short interview of the players, who is on what team, and some team names rather than 1 and 2.
I know you had the outline of the box with their team color but I’d add the words of the team two as their profile pics make it hard to tell sometimes.
I think you should cut it up into 5/6 videos, one each day, and then a finale - that way you don’t need to jam in the highlights of the day.
At the end you should have then go through their gear and game plan for the fight.
Also I’d throw up some graphics of the total levels per person, and gp per person and show what the actual margins were.
Maybe throw in some highlights of MVP, best drop, or something like that.
I’m sure there are some other improves but this was a great video, concept, and organization. Keep it going bro!

Nice Video and Nice Idea. I think the only think holding people back from watching it is the length. It Migth have been better to make smaller videos out of it. Instead of 2hours it would be nice to have it in 10minutes videos uploaded every few days.
Also it needs a recognisable name like... "Tribe Wars" or something which is also part of the title. I think that way it would attract more viewers.

Not sure exactly what happened with team 1. After the first few days seemed to only be 3 people contributing. I feel like there could of been a different ending if team 1 had the man power. Regardless, gg to both teams. Was entertaining to watch!
