There's drum and bass happening in South Florida. I guess you gotta be into it to know what's going on. Drum and bass, bass music, dubstep whatever - BassLine Miami / @BassLineMia on Instagram.
I recommend checking out Sabre, Stray, and Halogenix (Ivy Lab) solo stuff too. Coming from a DnB head: I rate that stuff more than Ivy Lab. That being said, I'm happy that they are breaking through to an American audience.
One of the coolest perspectives was talking about how music is good for each setting. New rap isn’t my deal...but when it goes off in the club I can’t hate. Great interview
@@GeeBooGie08 cool, cool...yeah my son told me Dad let's go see Craze. He bought us 2 tickets and bam we were in the house. We both dj and music and djing skills and what all of us djs bring to the plate is efn awesome.
Damn! I woulda *loved* to see Craze *and* Ivy Lab the same night!! Big ups serato and Craze!! *edit:* Craze, Luke, Egyptian Lover, DJ Laz all the same night?!?! *DAMN!!!!*
Does anyone know who dj craze's kid thinks is an amazing turntablist? I know I've seen the video of who it is...it's in a supermarket amd the dude is scratching like crazy?
Craze is ill as fuck but I wouldn't say any of his best routines are better than kentaros. He was the 1st to make loads of different edm styles in one routine. Think he got a perfect score too. Both are disgustingly good
Craze is so relatable. I love the sushi analogy: he's the chef, you show up to his restaurant, you trust him, he serves you the goods, you don't hesitate because you trust, you eat and it is straight fire...
Omakase Mixing... Im an older junglist dj who is only recently again mixing and getting into producing for myself... but this beats thing... If its what I invision I'm aaalllll behind that shit. I LOVE jungle from the early to mid 90's and that sampled miami bass more than once. Thats my shit. I also love breakbeat from around 2000. This man speaks my language. I remember reading about his first win in Mixmag I think it was back in the 90's and when he moved to D'n'B I was super impressed and thought all the more of him for it. But yeah, gotta do some research cos I'm in a total bubble, been out of the club and music scene for well over a decade.
Great interview thanks for doing this! You guys should put some rubber pads under the mic stands, every time he put his hand on the table I thought someone was knocking on my door.

LMAO @ social media, as an older dude the only thing I use is FB and thats for Family and like one or two old friends. haha yeah social media has been more of a plague than the new way to truly connect we were sold on.
@@SeratoHQ 😂 Dude I will happily say I use both and vinyl I have 1 reloop 8000 and a z2 and mk3 mikro and this is my looper set up using traktor loop recorder and its set so 1 timecode does A and B and I can switch over and use the midi on 8000s to swap crossfader and other loop recorder controls and then I have reloop 8000s mk 2 and elite which is just an amazing set up and then I have one 1210 and ZH mixer for cutting my vinyl, They are all dope all though I do think serato needs a proper over dub loop recorder and a master tempo other than that it's a dope platform I want to do a video routine. I don't get why people limit themselves over opinions.
I first heard DnB in 96. Craze is speaking truth about how the DnB/Jungle was a game changer. #everydayjunglisttillthedayidie
USA made Hip Hop
UK made DnB
Both dope
Congrats, Matt! Amazing interview!

Hearing this guy talk about dnb in an American accent is funny. Case in point 17:15...
2003 in Montreal, guy threw down the most ridiculous dnb set!! Apparently they’re few and far between so I guess it was a big deal 🍻
Damn mah man looks fragile in that thumbnail but good interview.
