Steven Adler's frontman sings like the way we all wish Axl Rose sings today. He nailed everything from the intonation to the pitch and his stage presence really delivers the song.
Yes we will see how this young singer sounds in his 60’s . I think they sound fine and I’m not trying to pick on anyone but if your going to play a slash signature solo you have to really nail it . The guitar player pulled it off however he didn’t spend a lot of time figuring out the exact solo . He got the main parts that most people would recognize but he missed about 30% of it .

Axl Rose can't sing this well nowadays because he never had discipline and good habits, he's the kind of singer who thinks that just because he was born with an incredible voice, then he doesn't need to practice hard and keep his own voice on level. And the proof to all this things I'm saying is one amazing singer called Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden. This man will be 65 years old in a few weeks, and guess what: even after having throat cancer, he is currently on tour and he is singing BETTER THAN EVER, HE'S IN HIS PRIME, and he sings all the hard songs in their original pitch. And not only sings well, but also jumps, dance and move all around the stage with lots of energy. How does he do all this at his age? Because he always took care of his body, always worked on his voice even when he has one of the greatest voices in heavy metal history, and he always rejected drugs, and only drink alcohol with moderation. So, there's no excuse, Axl can't sing that well anymore because of his own responsability, not because of his age. This is what happens when you don't make things right and trust this stupid philosophy of "sex, drugs and rock'nroll"

That guitarist is fucking great… singer sounds amazing, band is super-tight and Adler is exactly what we all want to hear… he was definitely an under-appreciated piece of the entire GnR sound. Something about that laid-back swing he’s got that keeps everything moving along but never pushes.
I think a different lead guitarist would be a good idea. A little sloppy, misses his cue here at the start, made Civil War a bit dull with the same solo every part, the added notes don't do anything. He just doesn't lock with the rest of the band for some reason

Steven was invited back to the band for the Not in this Lifetime tour. When they started to rehearse for the tour, Steven was there playing but i guess just couldnt keep up due to some back issues. He injured himself while playing (nothing serious) and when he was ready to come back, The band decided he wasnt physically ready to withstand a long tour and traveling, So thats why you only see him pop up at some shows for a song or two. So he had his chance, Thats for sure. Izzy on the other hand, Thats a whole other story :)

He originally left GNR because the band was to m wasted and Axl was a nightmare back then. He was trying to clean himself up and just couldnt deal with them anymore. Thats when he left and eventually formed his band. When they called him up for the reunion, He passed since the money wasnt an even split. Which is a whole other thing to get into.

Crap I just missed these guys at Summerfest in Milwaukee a few weeks back. I've been a guns fan and even bigger Steven Adler fan since Appetite. It warms my heart to see that child like smile on popcorn Adler back there playing away. If you ask me Guns was always better sounding with him, but totally understand the circumstance that caused the change. Still Steve >Matt Sorum all day everyday and twice on Sunday. But that's just my personal opinion. I'm just thrilled to see Steven back where he belongs, behind the kit and on the road. Also blessed that he's still here with us after everything he went through medically from the crippling heroin addiction to the drinking to the three strokes and someone upstairs still believes he's got work to do. Thank you God for keeping Steve with us after those many scares years ago
You can joke about Axl's vocals (although I do not agree) all you want, but Axl is still awesome, Live. Ari Kamin is really good & he is probably the closest at capturing Axl's stage presence from anyone I have ever seen, but 1) he is a lot younger than Axl, and 2) He has good vocals & he is awesome at copying Axl's style of singing & dancing, but he is no Axl Rose in regards to charisma, power, anger (when Axl was younger), rough at times, and just the overall package which is what makes Axl as brilliant as he is. No one, and I mean no one can do better than Axl, at what Axl does :)
Steven is and all it's worth, the band is very good and the singer is excellent! Likewise, it is not necessary to concentrate on emulating all of Axel's details, if you put his personal stamp on it, it will come out the same or even better without a doubt. Very good band!

Adler’s drumming was a huge factor is GnR’s boogie rock swing that was lost after he was fired. The guys after him were technical masters but missing Adler’s feel. His band here sound so good, so GnR, because of Adler’s drumming!!
