Sure was great to know 1003 got to make another visit to illnois in 2022. After 2018 where many class 1s and steam engines were acquired to have ptc installed I thought 1003 wouldn’t be able to pay another visit. But she did and I’m glad!
Soo line 1003 was here in Green Bay in 2001 for July 4 excursions South to Kaukauna with the Firecracker Express Trains on the then WISCONSIN CENTRAL, and alternated with the North bound trips to Oconto, When W.C. then owned the Original C&NW tracks that were the very first original tracķs built in November 1862 during the Civil War, from Appleton north to the old town called Fort Howard, and celebrated with a great banquet, and now in 2022 is the 160th Anniversary, but sadly nobody wants to run the excursions with steam here anymore, not even the NRRM, quite sad really!!!!!

Thanks. I grew up with Grand trunk and Milwaukee road about a block from my house. Thanks for bringing back some great memories on that.
