I asked the question because of his P.S. it seemed that he meant something else...also, it seems, to me at least, you can either go by doing "intimidation, murder, sacrifice" in order to get stronger faster and by fear or going by doing "inspiration, ascension, motivation" in order to be (huge air coates here) better than your enemies...or just do whatever feels right every thing seems work fine either way I guess 😅

Resurrection isn't necessarily the best thing ever, but it is simply fun to play around with. Tagged along belief in sacrifice, I sacrificed someone and resurrected them in the same day just because I liked them and they were among my first followers.

LIES, Resurrection is Over Powered for real if paired with the Summon Demon site.
With Cultists that are older (they get higher levels) and wise, they become extremely powerful demons you can take on your crusades.
The most deadly are the bomb demons, with an old cultist it can help you even cut in half the HP of a boss with one single attack.
I mean old as in over 100 - 200 days old. Not the guys with walking sticks.

The Sacrifice Ritual seems to have a slightly different animation depending on if they believe in Sacrifice or not. If they don't, they're terrified all the way down.
Yes. If your cult Believe in Sacrifice then they will act terrified at the beginning, but relieved with a smile before they got dragged down.
If your cult Believe in cannibalism, You can harvest their meat when they die without -20 in faith. Also, every Ascend Ritual you performed yield followers meat. You can hear the follower screams when they reach the top.
If your followers DON'T believe in sacrifice, then the only time during the sacrifice ritual that the follower smiles is if they asked to be murdered in the name of the Lamb as a part of a quest.
Ascension ritual is also affected by it I think. Mine ascension ritual is bloody. After they are lifted you hear wet noises, holy music gets distorted and you get follower meat.
Also, I'm pretty sure the ascend ritual can also jave a different animation.

Ascending the follower is so funny
Imagine youre there with your brothers and sisters while Lamb calls you to the center of the star, you go there, start floating excited to see whats going to happen but you end up as flesh and bones lmao
I mean if you're ascending to the higher plane of existence you probably don't need your body here so it gets discarded in a process.
I dont know why but my ascencion is different. Its a white light instead of red and get devotion instead of meat

WAIT WAIT. Ascend was different for me. It was light and they just ascended, no flesh and bones left behind. This made me so confused and a bit unsettled. What changes it
Perhaps it’s because of the fact that maybe for the ascension one he didn’t choose life after death. In other words there may be multiple variance
Follower ascension has actually 2 different variants, the one that wasn't shown in the video was the true ascension where the follower doesn't die in the end, what changes it, is the first doctrine of afterlife where you choose either belief in sacrifice or belief in afterlife
Something similar happens to the sacrifice ritual where the follower is either scared or happy when sacrificed
I have it set so they have belief in sacrifice, but they're always happy to be ascended.

i like how the song suddenly changes in tone after the ascending is finished. its like it was caught off guard with how unexpected the result was. even i wasn't expecting the follower to just suddenly turn into meat and bones
That doesn't happen to my followers. Instead of turning into meat I get a lot of faith as in they are accepted into the higher plane.
Dunno what are the requirements for failing the ascension turning your followers into only meat.

Belief in afterlife makes the ascension the true "going to heaven" serene kind of ascension
The grass eater trait has carried me through around 15 famines. I now have to worship the grass instead.

bro ritual of enrichment and at least twenty offering bowls carried me through the game I swear by it
I chose Alms for the Poor. Eventually you will be swimming in gold, but loyalty is harder to cultivate.
@@raistlin3462 just pick up bribery and inspire, I never had a problem getting both. Besides, a ritual that casually hands you 500 gold or more which scales with your population is busted when you get it early
@@raistlin3462 also when you unlock all fighting upgrades followers start to give you money for sermons, which can easily be about 30 at that time. Sermon plus alms, and no money spent, essentially.
@@raistlin3462 Just get the holyday ritual. It's a free out of jail card if you are running low on faith and they get very happy.

I'm a total softie, I'll always pick the ones that make it easier on my followers.
That’s not really the best idea your followers will see your character as a total softy and start walking all over them

When you also cook for them and clean for them or even healing them when they are sick?

It can be through some degree of honor and righteousness
I dont like picking the mean options, they make me sad but I also pick the most labor effective ones and resource effective ones when it comes to labor as I’m a hardened base builder enjoyer and forget this isn’t Rimworld sometimes

The only mean option i picked was the fighting pit ritual because i refuse to marry my followers XD i already had my fun in romance irl i dont want anymore in the games i play dang it
The other mean one is probably return to the earth, unlocks this facility that composts their corpses into fertilizer
At the same time i can compare latter to say how some deceased ones become ash in urns
It reminded me of ripley's believe it or not where one family fulfilled the wish of their deceased loved one to fly
By pouring the deceased one's ashes in a machine that makes frisbies
It was so sweet
For those that are curious: Yes, you do keep the 2 Tuna in the "Ritual of the Ocean's Bounty"

The funeral one is a lot sweeter than I thought. Glad I'm a bit more "evil" and keep reviving my homies. I want them to see all the progress that gets made and meet the newbies.

Honestly out of the two traits in the second tier of the Sustenance tree the Grass Eater one is probably the better one of the two simply because you get so much more grass than follower meat and follower meat is a lot of money during the early game when you sell it.

@@YourFriendlyShapeShifterFriend I think if your cult believes in sacrifice, it'll be bloody red. But if they believe in the afterlife, then it would be a holy glow.
@@Calt_Clerity To my knowledge, if you don't have the Belief in Afterlife doctrine, the Ascension Ritual will always look red regardless of any other doctrine. If you want the Ascension Ritual but don’t want it to sacrifice your followers anyway, get the Belief in Afterlife doctrine first.

@@sugarp1e174 I think there's a bug then in the relics of the old faith update. If you originally took Belief in afterlife then use the forgotten commandments to get Belief in sacrifice, you'll get the red ascension.
I don't understand how the resurrection ritual decreases faith. I don't know about you guys but if my pastor RIPPED A PERSON FROM THE UNDERWORLD I would be pretty faithful in that leader's power.

Maybe in future dlcs. there's an option in the game title that tell ''it come nice things'' (i'm played the game in spanish i don't know what it say in english) that's the option to download the future free dlcs.
@@MentalistMillennium It says Roadmap in the English main menu. This is a term usually used in Early Access titles that indicates that more features will be added over time. This could be in the form of more NPCs, follower types, events, biomes, or bosses, among other things.

Oh, so you can build "good" cult? I didn't try this game because I thought all will be evil choices only.
The "good cult" is actually easier to manage.
My cult is taxes,some punishment,but they can have days of rest and relaxation and feasts galore its basically a happy commune granted the elder tend to get the short end of the stick but they atleast get respect for it
Yeah, and it's more "regular". Going for the bad options gets you into a more radical playthrough
"Good cult"playstyle it easy to manage and grinding cult exp but it not good at lvl the lamb exp also crusader cause most of the thing you do it for the cult,not you
The"bad cult"it really hard to manage if you not have the"belive in sacrifice"doctrines and the brainwashing rituals,it very good for crusader but it will very hard to lvl up the cult and manage your cultists faith
Essentially the 'Good' choices raise the faith of your followers at the expense of resources, while the 'bad' ones cost a bit of faith, but provide useful powerups and boosts. There are also cases where the 'evil' option is simply more practical. For example, there's a trait option that either has your followers gain faith for each Elder, or one that gives you a boost for sacrificing Elders. Elders are pretty much useless and have a lifetime's worth of devotion that you can use for an ascension or sacrifice ritual.
At the core of it, you still are manipulating and misleading a group of cute fuzzy animals to help you free an ancient eldritch god, but you can treat them well along the way.
I don't think it's a good ide to light a bonfire in a wooden building but that's just me.

Best way to deal with corpses is to unlock the compost burial, to feed later the garden.
It’s funny how it’s more disturbing having your followers trip on shroom to brainwash them, over literally sacrificing either in a way they know or with a false hope!

I wish I could change doctrines, my cult is against the Brainwashing ritual but that was before i found out Brainwashing was just taking shrooms with my followers. We could be having fun trips together😢
Cant help but feel the vibe of gravity falls and hilda going on in this game.
I’m on PS5 and I can only get six followers to enter the church no matter how many I have and the game is getting consistently more buggy as I spend more days with my cult, things like getting trapped in a room during a run or being stuck in the level up animation with one of my followers and for some reason the flooring I tested out keeps coming back after I delete it, there’s a lot more but I really like this game and just want an update so it runs normally

@@jesseperrella4022 it’s because it’s a very buggy game I have the same with my console it’s just bugs that will get patched soon so don’t worry, they already fixed some bugs for pc and are fixing the console bugs so you just have to be patient and wait for the next patch

I’m on switch, haven’t had any problems except one crash but that was it, honestly I think your problems are because the game is mainly optimized for the switch so that’s technically were they expected you to play it, I think other consoles might run to high to play this game smoothly, but that’s just a hot take 🤷🏽♂️

Honestly, the way I tell these saves apart isn't the doctrines chose, it's the fact you have 3 identical horse followers on one.
I actually got a little upset when I saw the intimidate option, so to see it here, I’m kinda sad I didn’t.

I try(keyword try) to be as benevolent as possible and it worked wonders
I never ever lose faith as much as i should be worried for, and throughout my run i never had a single dissenter ever
I mostly chose ones that boost follower loyalty, devotion and faith even if most of them cost a pretty penny
The only ones that are kinda questionable for anyone's eyes at my attempt of benevolence would be to chose the fighting pit ritual over the wedding ritual, my reasons being im not gonna marry my followers lol but thankfully i dont use this ritual as much
Another i think is the resurrection ritual despite having Belief in afterlife trait
To save up on real food i also put grassy eater since i always get a lot of grass so might as well have it be of use as cheap food without the drawbacks
Never had i ever had anything that makes me extort money from my followers and i got through just fine
I'm still working though it, but I figured I'd go the benevolent route. If you're going to join my cult, you will be treated well.

There are 4 ranks for each of the 6 doctrine branches. Once you have all 24, you stop getting tablet fragments.

Hey im a 7k like person :)
If I played the game and the food was running low. I would have chosen the 3 day no and not be hungry thing so I can regain food.
The feast sets the hunger level back to full and helps restore the faith lost. Fast is good for long crusades but if your cult is already starving it'll just makes things worse and cause tons of dissenters. Honestly though as long as you have a farm (you'll mostly have to maintain it yourself until late-ish game) and the grass eater trait you'll be pretty much fine for food.

of the two Isabelle is more likely to start a cult. she probably just summoned Doomguy by a ritual.
Does the intimidate reduce faith?
No, it just increases loyalty very little.
It's counter part, the dance gives more loyalty.
Neither that nor Inspire affect faith
They only affect loyalty
Inspire gives more loyalty though

You can marry as many followers as you want, but your previous spouses will be jelous (-5 Faith I believe)
You can give em a kiss each day tho! (small level increase)

You have the “Belief in afterlife” trait, without it the lights turn red and the follower dies horribly
